BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of Danpak Food Industries. We manufacture confections, specifically bubble gum, candies, and chocolates. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Allomate Solutions?

We have a network of 200 distributors in Pakistan. Our objective was to build a system that could track the salespeople going to shops and collecting orders for the warehouses and track products from those warehouses to the stores.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed our solution in the form of an Android app. It tracks our sales team and distribution network. We can give targets to salespeople and perform evaluations at an individual level. We have roughly 200 people using the app, and all the data is being stored on a cloud server.

When we started the project, we had a narrow scope for Allomate Solutions, but we’ve extended the scope to include employee attendance tracking, warehouse auditing, and accounting. We can check the attendance and productivity of employees and make sure they’re meeting their daily targets, which are broken down into volumes, products, and brands. Our team can thus determine what products we’re lagging behind on and which ones we need to push for the season. Team members can also share their stats and compete every month.

They delivered the first part of the project, but we identified more functionalities to add after that. We’re currently developing the second version of the product.

What is the team composition?

They have a small team. I’ve spoken with their founder/CEO, who served as team leader. I’ve also been in contact with two developers and the person who was in charge of on-site implementation and training. They have a staff of 5–6 people on the development side.

How did you come to work with Allomate Solutions?

This is the only company of this kind that I’ve worked with. I got a bid from two other groups, but I didn’t feel comfortable working with them.

How much have you invested with them?

The upfront fee was two million Pakistani rupees (approximately $14,400 USD). We paid them again upfront for the second development project, and we also pay $300–$400 per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Allomate Solutions around January 2018, and they’re still onboard.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since we started working with them, my company has gone from a manual to a digital solution. The software works fine so far. Allomate Solutions delivered exactly what we needed for our sales team.

How did Allomate Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

A couple of deadlines were missed. The delivery was supposed to be on June 30, and they finished around July 15–20. 

They’re excellent in terms of communication. They keep up with emails and schedule calls and video conferences, and they’ve given us detailed reports of the field implementation. 

They’ve also trained our team free of charge on how to interpret the data being logged on the system and what KPIs we need to keep, which was exceedingly helpful. Allomate Solutions has done a good job of teaching us how things should be done and how we can take advantage of the potential of the software at its maximum.

They’re a young company, and they’ve been helpful to us so far. They’ve been flexible in making the changes we wanted, even when not initially specified.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They set an objective for themselves to improve the performance of our sales team. They made presentations and data analyses for this purpose and presented the data in an understandable fashion for even our lowest-ranking team members.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t say that there's anything Allomate Solutions should improve.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Allomate Solutions has great communication skills, so if the client can tell them what they need, they’ll deliver properly.
