Our company provides Cash Registers and retail POS equipment in Romania, since 1996. We also provide support and service. I'm currently the CEO of the company.

For what projects/services did your company hire Alfa Developers, and what were your goals?
The Romanian law dictates that we must keep track of every evectronic cahs register we sell, from the selling invoice, service history and to the last document which marks the device's cassation. Before having this software that Alfa Developers had created for us, we had to rely on document folders and and old computer software which ran on a local computer and kept only the invoices records. All the service hystory was kept on paper.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
They proposed to go with a cloud based service which they could customize for us but we wanted a proprietary web application which could be stored on our own server. So they created the web app based on our specification for every single section. They also managed to make the interface look similar to our old software which ran locally so our team had no problem adapting to the new app.

We had a first meeting at our office where we discussed the app structure. We provied the a lot of screenshots of our old app so they could replicate the design. We also wrote all the specifications for the app. We signed a contract and the started working on the app.
First we provied them a server which they configured. They installed a Linux OS and made all the configurations for the web server. After that they installed the server on our location. Next, they created the user interface whith no back end so we can take a look at it. We had some feedback for the which they took into consideration and implemented. After that, they started working on the back end. They implemented the login and user management features first and after that they implemented all the features one by one.
Every time they completed a new feature (eg: partenrs management, products manadement, service ticketing system, etc) we tested and after we were ok with the functionality, we made a new payment for a new milestone. I'm not very familiar with web technology but I know they used PHP and MySQL. We are have a maintenance contract signed with them so they do provide maintenance even at this date for the app. Since they completed the app we had some new features we needed and they implemented them in a timely manner. The app has never crashed the server is not overloaded by it.

We have a close relationship with the owner of the company which is also the lead developer. He managed the project very well and was available all the time. We worked with 3 persons from their team: The lead developer, a web and graphic designer which was great at keeping the ovearall look of our old app but at the same time, make it compatible with all modern borwsers. And we also worked with another web developer from theyr team which was also very nice an professional.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The implementation of this app was a big step towards efficiency and we are able now to see the history of any product, at any time. It was a life saver and we are using it day by day. We are very happy overall and we will continue to work with Alfa Developers for this app and everything else regarding our webneeds. In fact, they also created our website giptronic.ro and they provide maintenance for it and for our social media accounts.

We liked theyr style very much. They are very kind and they really shine at listen to your needs. They are very good at explaining tech things to you. We comunicate by email whats app and phone. We also have regular meetings at aour office.

We needed a website to present and promote our accounting services to better communicate with existing customers and find new customers. Our objective was to have a well-designed website to represent our company and to be suitable to be indexed in google and run ads campaigns.

How did you select this firm and what were the deciding factors?
We had Alfa Developers recommended to us by one of our customers. We had a meeting and found that they have expertise in accounting so they could understand our business model. We chose them because they took the time to not only find the best design language for our website but they were able to create a roadmap for our goal from creating the website to conversion (bringing in new customers).

We had a kickoff meeting and after that, they sent us a contract draft. They gave us updates at every stage of the project and implemented our feedback every time. They delivered in time and put our website live 5 days earlier than the contract deadline. They set up our entire online presence (ads accounts, social media pages) and ran the first ads faster than expected. We are still working with them for creating ads and website maintenance.

They requested an advance payment of 20% of the whole contract and the rest of 80% was requested upon the delivery of the whole project. We have a retainer fee for maintenance and ad campaigns.

We worked with two people from their company for the website. A lead developer and a web developer. Now on a retainer basis, we work with a web developer for website maintenance and an online marketing specialist for ad campaigns.

We are very satisfied with our collaboration. They delivered in time (ahead of schedule) and we had the first results very fast. We actually had to stop the ads for some time because we reached our maximum work capability and could not accommodate any new customers.

They will spend time with you until you have all the answers, especially if you are new to the online environment. I am not aware of any problems during the project and after. Everything was okay and this is why we are still working with them.
