I’m the founder, chairman, CEO, and president of University Medical Devices, Inc. (UMD). We design cutting-edge and highly reliable specimen collection systems that improve both patient-provider experiences and laboratory processes for a variety of diseases.

What challenge were you trying to address with Aker Ink?

We needed help building our websites, social media, and online presence to enhance our sales and marketing efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Aker Ink has created all the nonmedical parts of our deliverables and worked in conjunction with our team on the medical content. The team has designed our websites, sales and marketing materials, and online and social media presence. Aker Ink has also helped us with appearances and publications in pertinent medical and healthcare websites and publications.

We started working with them in May 2023, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen thousands of percent increases in our website traffic, sales, and marketing traction and success. We’ve also received improved feedback from clients and potential clients regarding Aker Ink’s deliverables. For example, we’ve received positive feedback from our master distributor, Virology Testing Products (VTP), and other major medical distributors.

How did Aker Ink perform from a project management standpoint?

Aker Ink has provided excellent project management with on-time delivery. We communicate via in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and emails or messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Aker Ink’s very close collaboration and intimate understanding of our market and what is required to sell into it are impressive.

Additionally, Aker Ink provided design, prediction, and guidance on our brand image, including producing our logo.
