I’m the CEO of MacroMenu, an app created to help people with food allergies find places to eat.

What challenge were you trying to address with Airia Creative?

We needed help with developing our MVP.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Airia Creative designed the first version of my app. We worked together on a weekly cadence where the team would first build a wireframe design and test it out with a focus group. Based on our customer’s feedback, they would make any necessary changes, and our developer would then build out the wireframe. We also discussed any suggested features by the focus group. The Airia Creative team created various wireframes each week until we ended up on a final UI/UX design. Additionally, they designed our website.

I only worked with Josh (Partner).

How did you come to work with Airia Creative?

Josh was my friend, and I knew that he had founded Airia Creative, so I hired them. 

How much have you invested with them?

I spent $200 a month. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement lasted from May 2020–May 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Airia Creative was super helpful and taught me a lot about web design. Not only did they design the app, but they also helped me learn how to do it myself. That was very valuable to me because it allowed me to make adjustments to the design independently.  

Additionally, the Airia Creative team was receptive to feedback and quickly implemented any modifications based on our customer’s feedback. We had to make a lot of changes, and they accommodated them all. 

How did Airia Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

Airia Creative acted as if they were our partners — they provided a ton of valuable feedback and taught us how to manage the project. Initially, we were just working on the project in an unstructured way. The team gave us a process to follow and introduced us to a project management system, and as a result, we developed a development process that helped us stay organized. We used ClickUp as our project management tool, and we used Zoom for our weekly meetings. Additionally, we had in-person meetings. They were solid communicators and constantly let us know what they were doing throughout the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What I loved about Airia Creative was its personalized service. They were truly committed to helping our business and gave us honest feedback because they genuinely wanted to see us grow instead of relying on them. 

Unlike many other marketing companies who charge a high rate without being transparent, Airia Creative also constantly updated us on their progress, which we appreciated. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We had some miscommunication on deadlines, but that was mostly because we were friends. That said, I know that he doesn’t have those kinds of issues with his other clients.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear with your expectations and what you want out of the project. The Airia Creative team is very good at following the scope as long as your expectations are clear. If you communicate openly with them, they’ll do a fantastic job, and there won’t be any problem.

We have had great traffic to our site.

Very. We had open and honest conversations from the get-go. That enabled them to build a platform that suited our needs.

His openness and ability to educate another person effectively on how to manage and understand the final product being delivered.

Josh is always improving and is open to feedback.
