Introduce your business and what you do there.
We’re a listing service that creates microsites for brands. We’re focused mostly on jewelry brands but are branching out and diversifying our offerings through our wholesale model.
What challenge were you trying to address with Agncy12?
We wanted to diversify our portfolio, hoping to rely less on Amazon. It was important for us to connect with a lead generation and SEO partner.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They helped us with lead generation services when we were aiming to boost our SEO capabilities for some of our brands. We were performing well on Amazon, using it as our primary outlet to sell products. They helped us isolate keywords that we wanted to rank for on Google via SEO. Through Facebook and Google, they also handled some PPC management for our sites.
On one of our sister sites, they fronted a lead generation effort that centered around outreach to potential clients. We’ve since paused that effort due to the pandemic, but they were assisting us with lead generation efforts while they were active in that way.
What is the team composition?
I generally work with two main points of contact. There are other people staffed to the work, but I don’t have direct contact with them.
How did you come to work with Agncy12?
One of my long-term friends had a positive experience with them for his brick and mortar shop. We reached out to see if they had the resources to take on an e-commerce-centric project, and they seemed promising. We interviewed other but liked their rates the best.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $18,000–$20,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working with them since September 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
After about eight months of working with them, the results began to roll in through organic leads and sales. We started out receiving no organic sales, but now we get about 3–5 sales each day from organic channels. That result is a direct testament to their work.
How did Agncy12 perform from a project management standpoint?
They've had monthly calls with us where they deliver a report of our updated keyword rankings. That's helped us track their work and progress. If I have questions, I can count on getting on the phone with them the same day.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They're a friendly, transparent, and honest team. We've felt that their service was genuine— they aren't ever trying to push services that we don't need. As our relationship has matured, they've offered suggestions that we've agreed to. Those initiatives have worked well.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We're very happy with them. They worked hard to make sure that we understood their process and reports.

Ask questions. They’re willing to transparently address your concerns, which should help you clear up uncertainties.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the operations manager for Outspoken. We sell custom jewelry mainly online and through third-party vendors.
What challenge were you trying to address with Agncy12?
We hired them for help with our strategy, sales, and advertising. Since we sell through third-party vendors, it’s all about connecting the brands the right way, so that’s why we brought them on.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We dived into the brand itself and our brand positioning to better tell the story of our brand to our vendors and customers. We’ve done storyboards, looked at our logo and brand materials, and they’ll potentially be doing some web work for us in the future. The next step is also moving into SEO work, but the main thing is working on our branding.
What is the team composition?
I’ve worked with three people so far. Kyle (Founder) is our account manager and we also work with their design director and brand developer.
How did you come to work with Agncy12?
We followed a referral. An old colleague and good friend of mine referred them, so we found them through word of mouth.
How much have you invested with them?
For this project, we’ve spent around $3,500. They have a fluid model where we get a professional team, as needed, at an hourly rate. I can select the hours I want per month and go from them at an hourly rate.
What is the status of this engagement?
For this branding work, we started the project in May 2020 and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’re super transparent with their work and results. I’ve seen progress already from their support. As an operations manager, having a professional team really helps us get everything organized before starting full-fledged SEO or SEM efforts.
How did Agncy12 perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve done really well. I personally use Google to manage the work with them, but we’re potentially moving to something different. From a brand perspective, there hasn’t really been anything I need to keep track of continuously, but when we get into SEO we might use different tools. So far, their timing has been great for everything required.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re really genuine people who are friendly and bright, bringing a lot of transparency to the work. A lot of other agencies have had issues with timeliness and transparency. With Agcny12, the ROI I’m receiving and their activities are all very clear.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not at the moment — I love working with them so far.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Their team is very broad, in terms of their skill sets, so that’s something to consider. You may reach out to them for SEO, but really they have account managers that have experience in business strategy or communication. It’s really great to sit down with them and do a marketing audit so they can provide more than one streamlined approach to marketing or business strategy.

I handle marketing at a company that produces paper soap sheets. I manage our social media platform and oversee our SEO and SEM efforts.
What challenge were you trying to address with AGNCY12?
We relied on AGNCY12 to build a new website for us. We’re also launching a few new products that AGNCY12 has been helping us promote.
What was the scope of their involvement?
AGNCY12 helped me and my partner design a new website. They also introduced branding elements for the images on our website and Amazon listings. They’ve generated blog articles, streamlined our Google profile, and made our site SEO-friendly.
Additionally, they’ve provided SEO reports that summarize our performance. The team is now helping us with ongoing changes to the website as we’re introducing new products.

They set up a Microsoft Teams hub for communication, which has been an effective means of communication. Everything has been straightforward with them.

We had a rapid timeline with this project, but they managed to deliver amazingly. We were up and running with the new website in under a month, which was especially impressive given how customized it is. I’d worked with their designer only briefly before they produced a perfect product.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions. There were lots of things I felt too embarrassed to ask about, but they’re very receptive and eager to help you.

I’m the co-owner of an outdoor goods and lifestyle retail company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Agncy12?
They were in charge of website design and flow, addressing our underserved online markets in our region in Canada.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They were responsible for website design and creation of our website, touching our existing site and a completely new platform that has yet to launch. Using Shopify to create the new site, they built the platform with custom code.
What is the team composition?
We worked with two people.

We had an initial, organic conversation with them. They’d worked with one of our colleagues in the past and done a good job. We were confident they could help us as well.

Project management and communication has always been good. They’ve been the ones to initial contact most of the time and have been direct when troubleshooting. We’ve communicated through Slack and WhatsApp. They’ve been pretty good at coming up with ideas–we don’t have to guide them too much.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They understand the e-commerce market. A lot of times, I’ll present an idea and they’ll help me refine it to make more sense.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We've gone back and forth sometimes on site functionality.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you go in with a rough idea, they’ll be great at helping you progress forward with your project.
Since beginning their engagement with Agncy12, the client has started to see 3 to 5 sales each day come about through organic channels. The partners tag up monthly to discuss progress in detail but often communicate outside of these meetings as questions arise.
