I’m the founder and CEO of an eyewear company based in Sweden. We also operate in Spain and manufacture our products in Italy.

We had already established an e-commerce website, but we wanted to further develop its design and features so visitors can have a better experience browsing through our products.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Aglowid IT Solutions redid our entire e-commerce website, but we still had the fundamental features kept in. They helped to further define and integrate aspects of the website based on our requirements.

The partnership started with us giving them access to the website and establishing the first part of the design phase. After that, we moved on to the other sections of the platform. We then integrated new features such as an article section where we provide insight into our company.

We instructed them to fine-tune the buttons, design the layout, present our products better, and implement easy access to our shop, since we wanted to give our customers a smoother transition when navigating the website.

Lastly, they designed the layout of our About Us page.

We initially got in contact with another person, but have since worked with Viraal (Developer).

I came across them when I was researching for web development companies on Google. Their economic pricing made us go with them. I went through the website and checked their portfolio of existing work and found that they had previous experience working with another eyewear company.

We’ve spent somewhere between $700–$800 USD.

We worked together from August–September 2021, but they’re still doing maintenance work for our website.

The product they delivered helped us a lot in terms of providing a pleasant experience to our customers — Aglowid IT Solutions helped design a simple website that made the process more seamless and efficient. Additionally, their work brought more value to our brand and identity as a company.

I was surprised by how responsive they were. The person I was working with was extremely understandable, as they helped us in ensuring that we understood the full process — they were also open to listening to my request and ideas for the website and acted upon them quickly.

We mainly used emails as our primary communication tool.

We were impressed with the speed and quality of their deliverables, as well as their ability to adapt to our needs. However, what made them stand out was their efficiency, response time, quality of recommendations, and agility to implement our requirements.

The communication would’ve been less time-consuming if they set up a weekly interaction during the project.

I am planning to develop an in-house fitness app for tracking the health, fitness and other variables of our members for giving them more control over their fitness journey. I don’t have the experience or skills to execute the app development. Moreover, I was looking for a company that can support me built this app from scratch – from strategizing to planning, development, and deployment. Aglowid guided me throughout the process in a seamless and efficient way.

I searched the internet for app developers in India and other related services with the infrastructure and years of experience developing custom apps for specific clients. Particularly with some fitness app portfolio to be sure they know what they’re dealing with. After going through a couple of websites of such app development companies, I sent in my requirements via their query forms to see what response I get. Aglowid was one of the quickest to respond with a link to their work portfolio in developing fitness and healthcare apps.

They also came up with 4-5 unique initial proposals for working on my app idea, with costs, predictions and limitations included. I went through their website and saw their previous work portfolio and felt ease and admiration for their work, making deciding on them easier.

As I mentioned, I wanted a partner that supports me from scratch to completion, and I found that reliability with Aglowid. They developed the fitness app I was looking for, with added features and valuable insights that transcended my initial idea into something more useful, promising and unique. They laid out a systematic project plan and scope where they worked on the initial processes of wireframing, creating screen by screen mockups and finalizing on two-three budget options. The project consisted of developing a single client-centric Android app with social and health tracking capabilities.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

My first point of contact was their CTO – Mr. Saurabh, who asked me couple of questions to get started, understand my product brief and requirements. The questions were more interaction based, and not closed-ones which helped me put my point across freely and in a better way. He introduced me to one of their skilled app developer who I was in direct contact with throughout the process.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Right from the initial conversation and consultation to prototyping and finally developing the app, Aglowid has been more of a partner than an outsourcing app development company. They took my idea and developed it into something better while keeping the authenticity of the idea intact. I was particularly facing client retention issues due to COVID-19 regulations and the inconsistency of gym opening.

They built in a 'Fitness at home' regime by documenting my personal trainers for a basic home workout routine integrated into the app for members to use. This helped me retain more than 70% of the clients I would have lost to COVID-19 irregularities. It gave my business a significant push amongst my competitors. They also valued my inputs, entertained my queries and helped me understand some fundamentals to look out for with their app-building checklist that helped keep things smooth sailing.

Initially, I thought that the app development costs were slightly higher than what I had anticipated. However, as the team guided me through the development process, I saw their potential and in-depth knowledge concerning their work portfolio, giving me the vote of confidence to partner with them. When we finally reached the deployment stage, I understood the value of money for their services and was 100 percent satisfied.

The communication channel was also very clear without adding many people in the loop and creating a ruckus. I communicated with the developer using Slack and met with Mr Ronak (CEO) and Mr Saurabh (CTO) for strategic planning in a separate slack group.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The way they look out for their clients, and not treat their clients as an outsider. They take on the project as if they’re making an in-house app for their company and the dedication, experience, inputs and readiness for pushing their limits puts their clients at ease, making them feel secure about their investment. Their ability to translate my loosely tied ideas into app realities also amazed me.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In my experience, I didn't feel any hiccups or bottlenecks while working with them. However, all companies have room for improvement.

Over 3,000 people downloaded the app within three months of its launch. Customers have given an average rating of 4.5 or better in the App Store.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was efficient. We broke our specifications done into week-long sprints and used Jira and Trello to track our progress and do testing.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was blown away by their communication and commitment to the project. They adapted to our work schedule (in a different time zone) and provided all development necessary to fix bugs, even if they fell outside their explicit scope of work. If we ever needed to discuss something, they were willing to hop on the phone.

Are there any areas for improvement?

If I had to find something, I’d encourage them to conduct more thorough QA before delivery so as to limit client testing. Otherwise, they enabled our product to come to life with high-quality work.
