I’m the supply chain associate director at MM Mega Market, and I have over 20 years of experience working in the supply chain industry.

What challenge were you trying to address with Agility?

We hired them to help us in providing warehouse management services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Agility provides warehouse management services. This includes inbound and outbound services; they handle the receiving, packing, picking up, and dispatching of products. They also provide labeling and bundling services.

Apart from this, they're also in charge of the flow of goods. After receiving the shipment, they deliver it to our warehouse. For overseas products, they pack and send them straight to the customer on our behalf.

What is the team composition?

I work with five people from their team, including two station managers, a business development manager, and two top management officials.

How did you come to work with Agility?

We prepared a tender, and we chose Agility because they were competitive and their services were very good. They’re also well-known in the container business in Vietnam.

How much have you invested with them?

We pay them about $130,000 per month. To be precise, we’ve spent close to $10 million in the last 10 years.

What is the status of the engagement?

We started working together in January 2011, and our engagement is still ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I joined this company a year ago, and they’ve provided very good services ever since I started working with them. Thanks to their help, we’ve been able to maintain our supply chain smoothly.

How did Agility perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re always on time in delivering the goods. I set up KPIs for delivery at 98%, and they consistently meet them. There have only been a few delays due to the pandemic, so I’m not complaining. 

For tracking shipments, we just follow up with them manually. We are a fast-moving product, and we work during the day and the night. So, whenever a driver picks up a product, we have to call them to track it. They do have a good contingency plan. If something happens during the delivery process, they have a backup truck ready in order to avoid any delays and financial losses for our business.

We communicate with them mainly via phone call or email.

What did you find the most impressive about them?

The most impressive thing about them is their ability to handle challenges along the way. Other companies can provide these services, but when the situation becomes difficult, Agility helps us overcome it to maintain a sustainable business.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They need to be more consistent in delivering on time. At times, they're not able to follow through on their promises. This is the reason why we’ve raised a complaint to the top management in the monthly KPIs review for improvement. They also need to improve on the trucking system and temperature control.

Any advice for potential customers?

I highly recommend Agility for startup companies.
