Tommy Bahama Spirits engaged Agency 6B in the Spring of 2021 after a soft launch during 2020. This nationwide campaign needed to achieve three things:

YouTube Strategy - Ad Council
The Ad Council, Inc. partnered with Agency 6B to achieve three things:
- Streamline internal processes
- Grow the YouTube Channel
- Define KPIs that would impact the brand
The program began in May 2021 and continues to evolve. In the initial engagement, we generated the following results:

63% Increase YoY - DanceSpace
DanceSpace Performing Arts Academy joined Agency 6B's Client Collective in May of 2021 to create a Facebook Ads Campaign to grow the enrollments for summer 2021.
With the first campaign, they were able to see a return on their investment.
By December, they not only exceeded their main studio goal of an increase in their student base by 10%, but they also exceeded their goal for a second location by 61.3%. And by the end of January? They had exceeded the main studio goal by 14% - as the COVID surge continued to rage on nationwide and in Thornton and surrounding towns.
The first month of DanceSpace's Google Search Campaign performed so well that the client had to add another class on a fully-packed schedule and by the time she was able to add the class, it was full with a 4-person waitlist.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the marketing and communications manager of a nonprofit media organization that produces public service announcements (PSA) nationwide. We focus on launching good social messages, ranging from high blood pressure prevention to wildfire prevention.
What challenge were you trying to address with Agency 6B?
We have over 30 active PSA campaigns, so we produce a lot of different videos all the time. As our YouTube channel is constantly under heavy strain, we needed help to organize it and optimize our upload process on the backend to ensure that it stayed as pain-free as possible.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Agency 6B helps us manage our YouTube channel, adjusting small details to optimize it for views, best practices, and ease of use. This process includes creating more strategic playlists, using specific keywords, adding customized thumbnails to every video, and constantly being on top of the monthly reporting. Additionally, Agency 6B has helped us optimize our upload process and create an upload form that fills out the basics.

One of my team members sent a request to a marketing Facebook group and found Agency 6B. At that moment, it was very hard for us to find the perfect fit because YouTube management was a very specific niche.

We started working together in April 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Since Agency 6B came on board and started implementing changes and best practices, our traffic from YouTube search results, engine search results, and suggested videos has improved. This improvement is proof that the YouTube algorithm is rewarding their great work. Additionally, the improved content upload process has made our jobs easier; they’ve done a great job of streamlining it.
How did Agency 6B perform from a project management standpoint?
Agency 6B’s project management is very straightforward. Oftentimes, we chat via Slack to figure out certain challenges, making our collaboration easier. Additionally, they use ClickUp to manage requests. If needed, I can also call them, and they’re always very responsive.

Respondent 1: I’m the founder of a social change nonprofit agency focused on raising the voices of those in support of environmental and social justice. We also sponsor a magazine.
Respondent 2: I’m the managing editor of the magazine section of our company, but I also help with the collective side of things. I edit the articles that we publish, communicate with contributors, and keep everything organized and on schedule.
What challenge were you trying to address with Agency 6B?
R1: We needed help with social media marketing and Google Ads to raise awareness and generate funds for our agency.
What was the scope of their involvement?
R2: Agency 6B helps us with our social media marketing, consistently posting content on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, of which Instagram and Twitter have been our main focus.
R1: We’re also focusing on Google Ads and all of the strategies behind it. As we’re a creative agency, we create our content. However, Agency 6B also reviews our content and strategically helps us place the ads. Additionally, they help us with Google Analytics.

R1: Agency 6B has helped us grow our social media followers tremendously. For example, we have around 7,500 followers on Facebook, whereas we had just a few hundred followers before.
R2: Additionally, we now have around 2,000 followers on Twitter.
R1: It is important to reach a certain number of followers on social media to be able to add an automatic fundraising component to the platforms, which is why we’ve focused on increasing our followers. Now, we’re looking to grow our presence on other platforms. Moving forward, our increased awareness and the Google Ads are going to help us with our fundraising, as well as with promoting our magazine to increase our supporters and readers.

R1: We’ve kept the project management tools to the minimum to ease the collaboration with all of our team members. We’ve used Slack to communicate.

I’m the head of marketing and communications at an LGBTQ+ advisory company. We help our members develop their LGBTQ+ talent and their advocacy and equality efforts.
What challenge were you trying to address with Agency 6B?
We wanted to grow our audience in our social channels, so we hired Agency 6B to help with our social media strategy and editorial content production.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Agency 6B audited our social media and helped us develop a strategic plan. From there, they’ve spent the last 18 months helping us execute that social media plan.
Their team generates content for LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. They’re also responsible for replying to comments and engaging with our online community. If a comment requires extra approval or oversight, they flag it for us.
Agency 6B also helped us create National Coming Out Day and Pride Month campaigns for our social media. They built the Pride month campaign with user-generated content; our members sent stories about them and their families, and the Agency 6B team posted them daily on our social media.

LinkedIn is a big focus for us, and thanks to Agency 6B's work, our LinkedIn followers have doubled from around 5,000 to about 10,000. This growth has also been entirely organic, which is impressive in the current context of social media. Vix is fixated on our numbers in a good way; she's very focused on driving results.
How did Agency 6B perform from a project management standpoint?
We used Slack for communication and Airtable for collaboration and tracking. Our communication with their team is very transparent.
Agency 6B has also brought in new tools that improve our workflow, including process automation. For instance, they helped us set up Zapier Integrations into our Slack channel so all our editorial team could see our social media posts.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Agency 6B is a true partner that's integrated into our business and cares about driving the project forward in a positive way. Many agencies start projects with high-level teammates and then delegate to junior employees, whereas we've always had the same account manager with Agency 6B.
They constantly go above and beyond for us. The Agency 6B team is unflappable – no problem is ever insurmountable for them. If there's an issue, they stay positive and focus on the solution, proactively making quick decisions. They're also very approachable, and they don't have an ego. Working with them is really nice, and I have no hesitation recommending Agency 6B to anyone.

No, there isn't anything they could improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Let them in! Give them as much information and context about your project as possible. Many companies don't integrate their agencies as fully as they should. Treat Agency 6B as an extension of your marketing team, not an external agency. Their job is to meet your goals, and they can only do that if they have the whole picture.

Vix (Founder & CEO) has created a social media marketing plan for me. They’ve also helped execute that plan for our Facebook, Yelp, and Google Ads. All of these help us hone in on our target market, which are children aged 2–8 years old and their parents.
