Our old system allowed customers to send us images for us to work on before sending back. It logged all interactions and allowed us to create basic invoices. We'd been using the system for around 4 years and it was in need of a serious update.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We were looking for a cost effective solution for a fairly complicated build. We'd previously tried developers in Asia but with little success. We often found that cultural and language barriers were causing serious mistakes and time delays that slowed the project to such an extent that it would of been cheaper to hire in the UK. As the owners of Vnited are both from France this was a nice bridge between Western and Asian working styles and it allowed us to create clear goals so everyone in the team understood what we are after.

We'd previously had a Joomla system but, as we were rebuilding from scratch, the guys recommended moving over to Drupal. We started off creating the designs (We did this side of things and then worked off feedback from them) and, once everyone was happy, they moved onto the build.

We had one dev and one project manager working on the build.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We've a more simple and stable system with only a handle of minor bugs since release (Which have all now been sorted). The updates to the invoicing system have saved us 10-15 hours a month while the customer automation makes the management of our business considerably easier and has allowed us to scale.

The team uses Slack and Trello to communicate. We were assigned a project manager who gave us regular updates and who made sure everything kept running smoothly. We were delayed a little due to an issue with a developer (Out of their control) but they were honest and kept us informed as it was happening. This allowed us to adjust to the updated timeline so it wasn't an issue.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They really did work hard to give us the site we wanted. For someone who's a little obsessed with details, they went out of their way to accommodate.

Overall they've done a fantastic job.

Choice was made after a meeting with one of the founder who rapidly understood our business model and priorities and took time explaining technical aspects and metrics to non-technical collaborators. This helped us a lot since our team was mostly made of sales people whose knowledge was scarce in SEO and social media metrics. Our priority is to focus on retailing so we decided to outsource this part of the activity. We naturally felt we could trust Vnited expertise.

We gave Vnited access to our website and and social media platform and provided info on our competitors and what we information we needed to know to make a competitve analysis. Vnited made an audit of the website and made recommendation of corrections to be made as well as regarding our strategy in the YTG. As for social media, real time report was implemented and some data about competitors are also given so that we can have an insight on real time about our activities and theirs.

I appreciated the way the project manager worked with me. I had another job, so I didn’t have much available time. The project manager was very compatible because he adhered to my schedule. We communicated via email and phone. We also had some face-to-face meetings, which I really appreciated.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m thankful to them because right now, the website works really well. They stopped working for me, but when I have difficulties, I can contact them, and they take care of it. I feel really lucky about this.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The work was occasionally delayed because I didn’t really understand the technical side, so it took more time for them to explain things to me.

We hired Vnited to help us develop a new e-commerce website. Our expectations were a website with a professional appearance and functions tailored to the sales of a wide range of products

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We searched for web developers in our area and based on based on their good reputation, we chose Vnited to build our website.

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss goals and objectives. We then delivered to them some rough wireframes and design ideas we had for the site.They used both slack and trello to coordinate and update us on the progress of each task. They also used a mark-up tool which made it very easy to communicate our concerns and corrections.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
A project manager was our main point of contact throughout the project. There were also 2 developers that we had direct contact with if needed.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Our site has not officially launched yet but we are happy with the results up to this point and look forward to using Vnited for all our support and maintenance needs.
