Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of a healthcare company. In addition to healthcare services, we also distribute machinery and devices for the healthcare and beauty industries.
What challenge were you trying to address with Advertizen Oy?
We wanted to connect clients to our products, as well as give a fresher look to our healthcare and beauty services websites.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Advertizen Oy redesigned our services website. We had an existing website on Wix of which they took all the information and refreshed it. I also tasked them to create a more understandable service panel so that my clients could easily choose our services from it.
I also tasked them to implement an ROI calculator on the distribution website, which was really important. Regarding its design, I wanted it to be attractive for our market to grab the attention of future clients. Additionally, we discussed implementing SEO strategies on site.
In addition to web development and design, I hired Advertizen Oy to handle our Instagram presence for three months. I also asked them to design two brochures for us, of which they designed one.
What is the team composition?
I worked with two people from Advertizen Oy.
How did you come to work with Advertizen Oy?
I made a questionnaire on Wix and asked for help, and Advertizen Oy offered their services. I looked at their website and thought that it looked quite good. They had some examples of their work examples. Additionally, the person I spoke with to schedule a meeting was really easygoing, so I hired them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $5,000–$6,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in September 2021. The project isn’t really finished yet, but they ended the collaboration when we found some issues with the product that they didn’t want to fix.
How did Advertizen Oy address the challenges that arose?
Advertizen Oy was really anxious from the beginning and, although they promised that what we asked for was possible, nothing was possible in the end. I won't hire them again because I want to work with a firm with whom I can talk things through and rely on.
For example, they promised to add SEO strategies to the website, but they didn’t. We also had discussed two brochures, one that offered a special discount to my clients and a general one describing our services, but they only delivered the general one.
When I asked about the SEO, they seemed to get upset about it. I also wanted them to make some changes to the website, and they wanted me to pay more for it, which was confusing because the changes weren’t major and were on things that they had made.
How did Advertizen Oy perform from a project management standpoint?
Advertizen Oy’s time management was good, especially when it came to the Instagram advertisement. They had a really strict posting schedule and did a good job sticking to it. However, our communication was the problem.
We only communicated through email and WhatsApp. Whenever I wanted to contact them over the phone for any changes and or concerns, They weren’t responsive. They almost never answered the phone, and it would take them at least one day for them to answer an email.
Our project wasn't very urgent, and things didn’t have to be done immediately, but I was frustrated by them not answering. For example, they never answered the phone on Fridays.
When it came to their work itself, I was never sure about where we were going with the project. When I tried asking Advertizen Oy for details, they would tell me that certain things were included and the next day tell me that they weren't. It was confusing how they charged for their services.
For example, a colleague of mine also reached out to them to develop her website, and they gave her a totally different proposal from mine. I asked about it, and they seemed to get upset, which is probably why they ended the relationship so quickly.
Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?
Advertizen Oy’s graphic design was very nice. I liked their designs, and they seemed to understand what I was looking for. Additionally, they had a multicultural staff, which meant that they could understand things in different ways and provide different perspectives. They were also friendly and easygoing.
In what specific areas can they improve?
Advertizen Oy should improve their communication and be more open about what their services include. Additionally, their work should include room for changes, and they should improve how their interactions with clients.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be really precise about what you want, and ask them to be precise about the terms of the contract.
The vendor responded on March 24, 2022.
We provided the client with the services as per our agreement and they were approved as they were at the time of delivery. We would not, however, provide our services for free, which was what the client was proposing.
Making new changes, for free, to the already finished projects and having meetings again to better understand the ideas behind the changes would take a lot of time and effort. Putting value to the work and time spent is something every company should strive for and we stand by our own value as creators. Both client and the agency should have mutual respect for each other and understand that the relationship between a company and the client is a business transaction. Other reasons for us firing this client were due to unethical requests that didn't meet our agency values. As a company, we want to focus purely on business, transparency and always delivering the best quality work on any project

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm a board member of a nonprofit organization. We're an association, so our board members change approximately every five years or so. I'm involved with advertising within the board for the association.
What challenge were you trying to address with Advertizen Oy?
We don’t have much web traffic and wanted a more professional website. I had done the previous website myself, so it wasn’t very easy to use. We offer our training days through the website which is approximately once a year as well as membership for the association. It was important for us to make the site as easy to use as possible to facilitate these services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They planned our website, including the overall look, layout, and logo. We never had a logo before at the association, so they designed it for us from scratch.
What is the team composition?
I worked with two people from Advertizen. One person worked on the contract and the other person did the planning and the design.
How did you come to work with Advertizen Oy?
They were referred to me by someone who has a child that works there. It was easy to approach them. When I looked at their website, I felt comfortable approaching them as a small association. If I had a small business, it would be easy to approach them as well.
How much have you invested in them?
It was €1,240 (approximately $1,500 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started the conversations with them in August 2020, and the job was finished at the end of September 2020. We are still using their services. Our board had to be closely involved with suggestions and the feedback loop, so it took them a while to finish the work.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I really appreciated their work. They're helpful, and even now, they answer any questions I have. They listened to our mission and goals. All of our board members had different views on the logo, for example, and they listened to all the suggestions and hesitations.
The website looks professional now, offering the fresh look we wanted. Some of our readers are professors and academics, so we needed the professional look they created. It's very nice, calm, easy to use, and easy to read.
How did Advertizen Oy perform from a project management standpoint?
They had a project management system where they added the phases of the project so that I could follow along.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They're still following up with us and checking to see how the product is working. They recently emailed me a video describing an issue they found with my handling of the site. Without me asking, they sent a video clip showing me how I can manage the site more easily. That was very, very thoughtful of them. Advertizen spoke with account managers at Wix, and they've now offered themselves as a source of help.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The only thing I found to be difficult was at the beginning because I am not technical in nature. When I needed to understand things, I needed to speak English and also understand English. It was a little difficult, and I would have preferred if the Finnish-speaking person on the team would have been there with us a little longer for communication.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
It went very smoothly. We weren’t quite sure what we wanted. In the beginning, we were searching for a way to explain what we wanted. It wasn’t really clear, but I think it was our fault. There were so many people involved on our side, and everyone had their own opinion.

For what projects/services did your company hire Advertizen Oy?
I wanted a new logo, branding, new name and new website. I also bought occasional social media posts.
What were your goals for this project?
Increase sales and visibility in social media. Re-branding my old style and having a new, better website that works.
How did you select Advertizen Oy?
I publicly asked for bids and Advertizen stuck out as the best price-to-quality ratio and they seemed to instantly understand what I needed for this project.
Describe the project in detail.
We started with a new name and i got to chose my favourite colors for the website. Then I was presented with different types of logos and colors and i got to choose my favourite. Overall the project went very smoothly and fast. I did not have to work for it very hard.
What was the team composition?
I communicated mostly with the COO of the company. The CEO did most of the designing and the website
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
My social media has gotten new followers, my website is now much clearer for clients and I've seen positive results in sales.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Very easy since it was one-on-one meetings with me and the COO

The speed and imagination were impressive. Whenever i said I wanted something, they delivered. They made my ideas look good on paper

As far as I saw, everything went smoothly. Couldn't tell if anything needed fixing.
