Euronics - Topo Centras
"Topo Centras" has been the biggest retailer of household appliances and electronics in Lithuania for 20 years. “Topo Centras” is a member of the “Euronics International” group and has more than 35 stores in Lithuania.
The e–shop of "Topo Centras" was a working system that needed optimization and expansion of current functionality. Our mission was to develop this e–shop and make it impeccable.
Over the years this ongoing partnership has involved a number of cutting-edge technologies and innovations adapted to the "Topo Centas" e-shop: from unique self-checkout terminals in physical stores, to mobile applications, PWA (Progressive Web App), large-scale automation and a number of custom integrations.

Pegasas
Pegasas is the biggest and a well known chain of bookstores in Lithuania. The first Pegasas bookstore was opened in 2003 and today the network has expanded to 33 bookstores.
With changing business environment and growing consumer expectations, our client decided that it’s time to change his online store to keep up with worldwide eCommerce trends and to improve customers’ user experience. The old online store was based on the Oxid system. With everything the new Magento 2 can offer - both for store admins and customers - the platform choice was an easy to make.
This project was not a regular Magento adaptation to an eCommerce business model. Pegasas team came with high expectations that included an omnichannel experience for their customers. This entailed the consistent experience across all physical bookstores and e-stores as well. One of the main aspects to be maintained between digital and physical locations was Pegasas’ custom loyalty program.
The result - a visually pleasing e-store that’s consistent with the brand's content strategy, which can be updated and changed with just a few clicks. Integrations with various accounting, product information management and marketing systems (such as newsletter functionality) enables the most efficient way to deal with stock control, communication and PIM - all without leaving the Magento admin interface. This not only improves efficiency and decision making in day-to-day operations, but also unlocks brand new business capabilities for Pegasas.

Deeper
Deeper is a revolutionary tech company, focused on developing and delivering cutting-edge technology for outdoors activities. The company has been growing at breakneck speed and was ranked as the 2nd fastest growing tech company in Central Europe by Deloitte with over 7,000% growth in the first 4 years. Deeper is responsible for disrupting fishing technology market by introducing the first ever castable wireless fish finder for anglers in 2013. Currently, Deeper products are sold in over 50 markets around the world.
Of course, every rising star needs strong partnerships and we are proud that Adeo Web was selected as the eCommerce solutions partner.
Our focus with this project was to create a content-rich and user-friendly website and to automate as many of the manual tasks as possible. The project had to be launched within 6 months from the start.
In retrospective, Deeper was definitely one of the most challenging projects we’ve worked on so far. Not only due to the scale, but due to the limited time constraints as well. However, the more challenging the project is - the more it helps us grow. This was especially true for Deeper e-commerce system. When you’re working with an excellent team of specialized professionals and experts from Deeper, there are no infeasible challenges out there. We are looking forward for the next one.

Verkter
“Verkter” is the largest work tools e–shop company in Scandinavia and North Europe and has the widest assortment of tools for both professionals and amateurs.
As the previous eCommerce platform of “Verkter” e-shop was not flexible enough and had a lack of integration opportunities, Magento was necessary to make “Verkter” a more scalable solution in Scandinavia and North Europe.
The core functionality was created in 15 weeks by using more than 25 Magento modules.
“Verkter” has more than 50 retailers and 5 warehouses and needed a proper warehouse management system. We implemented real–time stock level updates, a login for each retailer, automated status updates and also a function for enabling/disabling back orders for each product.
We created a delivery time display function as different products may be delivered on different time depending on the selected shipping method.
Search optimization - SOLR module was needed to make the search of the products easier.
Because of the huge amount of products with different attributes and information, the full–page Varnish cache module was implemented.
We also adapted the client’s accounting system to Magento. To make processes for “Verkter” more effective, we implemented PDF Invoice module, which lets the admin create a different structure of the invoice according to the rules of specific countries.
Shipping and delivery modules - we implemented a module which can remind users about an abandoned cart, cross–sell based on the shopping cart or the previous sales, offer a discount, automate emails with tracking information.
The architecture created for “Verkter” Magento e–shop is used for another 7 e–shops of “Verkter” in 7 different countries: Sweden, Norway, Germany, Denmark, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia.

Tele2
Tele2 is a European telecommunications operator. It has been a major player in Nordic and Baltic countries for more than 25 years. Currently the operator has 14 million customers in 9 countries. Being a well-known brand worldwide and a telecommunications company, it offers a wide range of services and products across many markets.
Tele2 was in need for a new e-shop in Lithuania. Magento was a perfect fit for a complex and customized ecommerce solution and as Adeo Web are well-known as Magento experts, a new partnership was born.
We have developed this project for more than 3 years. This included Tele2 Lithuania and Tele2 Estonia e-shops, the latter as a second phase of the project. We have been deeply engaged to provide a successful solution for the client together. We achieved this with the help of cross-functional teams that included experts from all involved parties.
Combining excellent and clear direction from Tele2 and Adeo Web expertise in Magento this project was a guaranteed success.

Knygu Klubas
“Knygu Klubas“ is the first official Lithuanian book club and a well-known online bookstore in Lithuania. The book club has more than 100 000 members who share the books they've read with like-minded people, write comments and regularly receive special offers.
Speed, admin panel, and flexibility were the main reasons why “Knygu Klubas“ picked Magento 2 to improve their e-system. The main challenge was the short 6 month period during which the project had to be completed.
We organized a workshop with the client to go over the most important functions to be implemented during the first 6 months. After the workshop we had:
- Clear priorities
- Established mapping of user stories
- Roadmap for the upcoming development
At the beginning of the project we had meetings with our client quite frequently to clarify project implementation needs, solutions and details. At the outset, clarity was crucial for the project’s success.
Besides the plan for implementation of necessary functions, we set 3 goals for the period of 6 months:
- Fix the acceleration of e-shop
- Implement a more comfortable product upload process. Before this project it took 1-2 days for a product to appear in e-shop
- Implement the best user experience to ensure improvement of client satisfaction and loyalty

Please describe your company and your position there.
Project is one of the biggest DIY retail chains in the Baltics. It focuses on selling construction materials, decoration and garden goods through more than 10 physical stores and an online shop. I’m currently working here as a CTO, responsible for the successful operation of ecommerce business.
For what projects/services did your company hire Adeo Web, and what were your goals?
Online store needed a new front-end solution to improve the user interface, increase website’s performance, ensure smooth shopping experience and increase the overall visual appeal. Also, a new Order Management System and Inventory Control System were needed to be developed to ensure more efficient internal business processes. For these tasks we needed a service provider that would have a proven track record in ecommerce systems and understand the specifics of an omnichannel business.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We have worked with Adeo Web before - together we successfully developed a big scale Marketplace project for the Baltic region. Our team knew Adeo Web as a trustworthy service provider with a proven track record in ecommerce development. Also, Adeo Web developers were experienced with our preferred technological stack (Symfony, NEXT.js), so it became easy to find a common solution.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The general aim of the project was to expand the ecommerce ecosystem for already working businesses to help it become a true omnichannel business. The ecosystem would consist of an ecommerce engine, order management system and inventory controlling system. Additionally, it should integrate with the current ERP, warehouse management system and other internal systems. Adeo Web provided us with:
- Expertise and a senior team for Front-end development of ecommerce engine on the NEXT.js framework.
- Part of the senior team of Back-end developers that helped us to create an Inventory Controlling System based on Symfony framework. It would help us to be up to date with current product stock in physical stores and warehouses while selling the products in an omnichannel way.
- Another part of the Back-end developer team helped to implement and improve the Order Management System based on Symfony framework. It was the key tool to fulfill the orders for our online users.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The full project team consisted of 13 people from both, our in-house team and Adeo Web: CTO, PO, back-end lead, front-end lead, 4x back-end developers, 3x front-end developers and 2x QA specialists.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The newly developed front-end solution changed how users interact with our online store: the shopping process was simplified, the overall performance has increased, navigation became clearer and item categories were improved. Mobile shopping experience was also enhanced.
Combination of these features allowed our store to increase key performance metrics, such as conversion rate or cart abandonment rate. Implemented additional internal systems like Order Management System and Inventory Control system made business processes more efficient and helped to fulfill orders more with more speed and precision.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Our team worked in Agile methodology with standard procedures: grooming sessions, planning sessions, daily standups, retrospectives, etc. There were some scope changes along the way, so goal iteration adjustment was needed. Overall team efficiency was good. The MVP version of the project with the ecommerce engine, order management system & inventory controlling system went live in 6 months.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Building a complex tech project always has small bumps on the road. I’m happy that our partner shared a proactive “can do'' attitude among their development team. This approach helped to overcome these bumps quickly and launch the project smoothly. It was also very valuable that Adeo Web’s management team was constantly asking for our feedback and tried to solve the challenges we encountered ASAP. Overall, we’re very happy with the team that Adeo Web assembled for our project.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
When you’re outsourcing quite a big team, aligning the budget can become a complex process, but we managed to find common ground here.

Please describe your company and your position there.
TROBOS is a new way of shopping - it allows you to have a shopping mall in your pocket. From clothing, footwear or perfume to everyday groceries and DIY equipment. It’s the first online marketplace in Lithuania with a focus on same day or even same hour delivery. I was a member of the core team that launched the project from Zero to Live.
At the beginning of the project I took the responsibility of a CFO and mainly focused on Finances. After I was promoted to the CEO position, my priorities shifted towards business growth.
For what projects/services did your company hire Adeo Web, and what were your goals?
We have decided to target a niche market which hasn’t been developed in Lithuania or the Baltics. For this case we needed a vendor who could be fast enough to develop the system in a short time and also have a wide competence in eCommerce to create sturdy core systems: marketplace, order management system and picker apps for couriers. Develop three systems in 6 months to launch a new business.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We’ve contacted established vendors in Baltics that had the appropriate experience. Adeo Web had the needed competences, professional team and the ambition to help us create and grow a new business model in the region.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We gave the vendor our technical documentation of the systems, presented them with business logics and they joined us with four teams for this project: UI; Marketplace; Order management system (OMS); Picker apps. User interface team created a new design according to our brandbook. The Marketplace team chose Sylius Plus, Vue Storefront, Google Cloud platforms and other tools to build the Marketplace system.
The OMS team chose Symfony as a starting point to create a new system for order management. Picker Apps team developed native apps for iOS and Android phones & tablets. Adeo Web team was fully responsible for the Project management, development, testing and our team took the Product owner’s role.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The team consisted of up to 20 people from various roles: Project managers, Business analysts, Architects, Tech Leads, Backend developers, Frontend developers, iOS / Android developers, DevOps, QA, UX/UI designers.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The Systems that Adeo Web has developed, launched and maintained became the core architecture for us to start a new business case. Without these systems our businesses would not be operating.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
All 3 systems (marketplace, OMS, mobile apps) went live in six months after the contract was signed. Our main objectives were achieved. Of course, as the goals for the new business launch were very ambitious, all teams had some tense times through the MVP launch phase. However, after overcoming this challenging phase the initial project was successfully completed and both teams are still working together to this day.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Company's management team participated in every small detail of the project until it went live.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
AdeoWeb could get a bit better in project management skills when it takes to deliver high complexity systems with a team of 30+ developers, QA, PO’s.

Our platform enables our customers to source and buy complex services quickly whilst controlling and reducing indirect tailspend. I am Head of Technology responsible for all IT and Software Development within the business.
For what projects/services did your company hire Adeo Web?
Adeo Web provided a dedicated team of software developers who worked closely on a day-to-day basis with our in-house developers to significantly enhance our capacity to develop our platform.
What were your goals for this project?
To increase the capacity of our development team with the ability to scale up and down the team size much quicker than using local development talent.
How did you select this vendor?
A prior member of our business recommended them.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
Adeo web sourced Frontend developers, Backend developers and QA analysts for us, performed screening and interviews and gave us options as to which we wanted to work with. They managed all HR and employment aspects and provided an excellent working environment for the team, making them comfortable within their wider business and staff activities. The team worked on a day to day basis reporting into our own company structure in terms of delivery code and testing. We worked using Agile SCRUM methodologies with 2 week sprints and releases to production at the end of each sprint.
What was the team composition?
The team varied in size over the course of our engagement, from a minimum of about 3 to a maximum of about 6 members. Two of the team members remaining in the team from start to end. Depending on our needs at the time the relative numbers of Frontend vs Backend vs QA members shifted.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
Adeo Web project managed the 'staff' and HR aspect of the engagement and that was excellently implemented. The team were kept engaged and motivated even during difficult times, and when team members left great new ones were quickly found. In all the time we only had 1 team member that didn't fit the team dynamics and that situation was quickly brought to our attention and handled to everyone's satisfaction.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They focused on quality and provided us with good solutions to any issues that came up as efficiently as possible.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Very little really. Initially it was a little awkward for our Adeo Web team members to easily pop-onto video calls at short notice as they were sharing an open plan office with other teams, but as soon as that was identified as an area for improvement, the team were relocated to offices that enabled video calls without any restrictions.

There is no need to call the print house or to wait for e–mail responses).

We did some research, because we knew what we were looking for. The main factors were a specialization for such projects, reliability (trustworthiness) and good recommendations (we spoke with some clients they work with).
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
“Adeo Web” task was to develop a module which is a cloud–based web solution that helps to automate both printing and sales sides of the project. A module was necessary as a business workflow for the company because it works both as an ordering platform and as production automation.

There was a need to create and draw the design for the e–shop homepage, to make it more attractive and useful to users.
Adeo Web made adaptation of the homepage, cart, product pages, customer account for mobile devices as well. We have a long term partnership for system support with Adeo Web service as well, so we feel safe and comfortable if any unsuspected bug happens or we can do small system development tasks at the same time.
