What challenge were you trying to address with Adela Technologies?

We needed a company that could help us migrate from a physical, on-site server to a Cloud-based server.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Adela Technologies helped us migrate from a physical server to a Cloud-based server. They basically backed all of our data up, set us up on the Cloud, and migrated all of our data in there. We were able to start operating after that.

Aside from that, they also provide us with monthly backup and maintenance services as well as ongoing technical support.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked directly with Fred (Chief Operating Officer).

How did you come to work with Adela Technologies?

We found Adela Technologies through online research.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent somewhere between $5,000–$10,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2018, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been very impressed with Adela Technologies’ performance. We’ve never had any issues with them.

How did Adela Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Adela Technologies has performed well in terms of project management. Whenever I have any problems, I just call Fred, and he takes care of them in a timely manner.

We primarily communicate with them through the phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We got involved with another vendor before we hired Adela Technologies, and they were not able to provide anything near what Adela Technologies has done for us. Needless to say, that engagement was very short-lived.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything Adela Technologies could improve on — I’ve been happy as can be with Adela Technologies since the day we started working with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to be patient.

I’m the CTO of a consulting firm.

What challenge were you trying to address with Adela Technologies?

We needed to harden our physical network security.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Adela Technologies helped us set firewall rules and configure our VPN for security. Initially, they assessed with us the rules we needed for our Cisco Meraki firewall so it could continue to perform our business function but still maintain security. They installed the firewall and configured it correctly. Then, they troubleshot with us to find a way to use second-factor security to hop through the firewall for remote work.

We’d already purchased the hardware when we engaged with them; Adela Technologies did all the configuration. Additionally, we’ve discussed setting up a virtual local network for our guest network through the same firewall. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with a few people, including David (Founder) and Fred (COO).

How did you come to work with Adela Technologies?

We found them through a word-of-mouth referral.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent less than $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January–February 2022. We’ll use them again for any network security needs that might arise in the future, so our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since it’s security for a firewall, it’s hard to provide metrics. However, we haven’t had any known security breaches since they’ve configured it. We’re very happy with their service.

How did Adela Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very responsive; they made themselves available to us. The team was willing to help us think through what we needed, and they were excellent to work with. Also, they were highly communicative about the goals. The deliverables were clear, and they communicated with us about their progress. It was always clear who we needed to reach out to get something done, and they were willing to communicate through the channel we preferred. Since we’re a small firm, we like to use encrypted communication. We primarily used Signal.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were agile and willing to take on a minor job. They sat with us as we noodled over how we wanted to configure our systems. Also, they weren’t bureaucratic. They didn’t make us go through layers of sales calls; we could talk to techs who were knowledgeable about the problem right away.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything.

I’d highly recommend them.

I'm the owner/President of a general dental practice providing preventive, restorative & surgical services.

For what projects/services did your company hire Adela Technologies?

Our old computer infrastructure was limited in software back-up capability, severely lacking in HIPAA compliance and - we desired CLOUD accessibility.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Mr. Fred was a long-time friend. He informed me he was involved with a new endeavor to provide businesses with the necessary plan and CLOUD support that would help us achieve our goals. I was sold soon after - as Mr. Fred has always had my utmost respect and trust.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Fred met with me individually and also with several key team members numerous times to identify our exact needs - which included learning staff accessibility to workstations, defining HIPAA compliance goals, and ultimately Building out our ENTIRE dental software within the CLOUD. He then tested the system repeatedly and trained us on AWS access.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Two - both senior partners.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The CLOUD migration was AMAZINGLY SUCCESSFUL enabling us to easily log-in securely, store all data and operate day-to-day administratively and clinically with much greater efficiency.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Fred and his team were (and continue to be) HIGHLY RESPONSIVE to any and all issues- working via e-mail, texts, phone calls and remote means to resolve our occasional dilemmas in shirt order. We couldn't ask for any better service.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are the Ultimate Professionals. The extreme planning has paid off with a smooth transition and a perfect solution for our network needs.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We have a couple of hardware shortcomings, but because they are very dentistry-specific items - it could not have been forecasted.
