We wanted to develop a messaging app and a fully secure & modern communication suite for businesses.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted a messaging app that would be based on new 5G-standard internet transport technologies, which provide revolutionary results in real-time communication. The app does not ask users for their personal phone number. Our registration only uses reliable authentication options.

Also enable the “Low Data Usage” mode to save mobile data when making phone calls on slow or expensive network connections.

Our organization is like any other institution, so we've gone through a procurement and bidding process, evaluating several companies regarding quality, reviews, and pricing. We chose Addevice because of their price, knowledge, and ability to build cross-platform apps.

They’d be on calls with me late at night or would walk me through certain things just to help us get things done.

They had the most talented team. I worked with several different people based on the project’s needs such as a project manager and a developer. I also worked with their creative director and even got to know their founders very well, who would help me out as needed.

The best example is that we started with a raw idea and we now have a complex app built

If I ever need help, I’ll contact them with questions, and we keep in touch since we’ve developed a great relationship. We’ve transitioned to our own internal development team now which Addevice helped me put together. They really understand what tech companies and startups need.

They were very clear with us throughout the whole process. They provided a timetable and pricing for every project, which is very important for the client.

I’m the CEO of GpsGamma. We’re developing a fuel monitoring system and have branches in Armenia and Russia.

What challenge were you trying to address with Addevice?

Our business challenge was to create a system that’d be responsible for collecting information from IoT devices installed in cars. The system would analyze users’ driving styles, fuel efficiency, speed, and so on.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Addevice developed our backend system as well as iOS and Android client apps. The system is hosted on AWS. They designed the apps, but we used another company for website design. The apps have GPS tracking, a fuel management system, and an admin part for creating accounts. Addevice integrated protocols for around 150 types of IoT devices.

What is the team composition?

I connect with three people from Addevice, and I believe they have six people on the team.

How did you come to work with Addevice?

They were referred to us by a company that had previously used their services. We were in discussions with them for 3–4 weeks.

How much have you invested with them?

The initial cost was around $200,000, and the total so far is about $300,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Addevice in March 2018, and the engagement is ongoing. The platform went live around March 2019, but we’re still in contact with them for additional requests.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We wanted to start a monitoring business, but didn’t have the tools or software to provide that service. Frankly, I’d say that Addevice created the solution that gave us the ability to sell that service and find new clients. Our product is currently being used in 5,500 cars. Also, they didn’t charge us for the changes we requested.

How did Addevice perform from a project management standpoint?

They created wireframes and prototypes for us, and we were able to review everything and see how it would work. We split the work into three phases: functionalities, design, and then polishing and testing. They used Trello and Jira for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I don’t have a lot of experience in this field, but I’ve worked with one other app development company. Compared to them, Addevice’s level of research was very good. We decided to make a lot of changes during the wireframing process, based on user feedback and statistics.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Based on my limited experience, the most important thing is to do research and analysis then build the UI/UX and functionalities based on that. With my previous project, although the company delivered what I expected, it wasn’t based on research, so I got a lot of change requests after the launch. We did good research during this project by analyzing all competitors. I believe this is why our company was able to open a second branch six months ago.

We had a few online meetings to discuss our requirements and objectives. We designed and developed the backend services internally then shared them with their team. hey produced a mockup UI for the Android and iOS versions.After a few iterations, our teams finalized the design, and Addevice developed the screens and integrated services. Once they delivered a beta version, we performed end-to-end testing to verify its integrity.

Thanks to their support, we were able to deliver a beautiful product to our happy customers.Overall, we're satisfied with their work and would recommend them. We receive many positive feedbacks from our users. Addevice also keeps up supporting our app for the further updates.

They were extremely reliable and committed. We never faced issues communicating, as they were always on call. Despite some language obstacles, they managed to do a great job. We checked the quality and give them feedback because they rely on your comments to improve what they did.

I was impressed that Addevice kept true to what we envisioned and developed it exactly the way we wanted to. Apart from being highly responsive and timely, the best part about them is they really focus on understanding the project concept and help their clients to nurture their idea by giving their expert advice. Also, they are very transparent in terms communication and always kept us up to date.

We were looking at the internet for various agencies. We found Addevice there, also we had recieved good feedbacks from our partner. So we had a couple of online meetings with them to understand Addevice was the right decision for us.

They deliver on time, and project management is strong. The project manager was responsible for being a bridge between us and all of the developers. They kept me well-informed on a daily basis. We had a meeting every day with the project manager. Whenever I had any issues, they were just a call away. Issues got resolved within an hour’s time.

There are 6–7 people resources tending to our project. I was in communication with the project manager and the developers, and there was a project manager assigned to our project. There was also a graphic designer.

After 2 months releasing the app we had 1000 registered both clients and service providers. Also online orders were increased due to this app.

I couldn’t have asked for better communication, and the project is exactly what we were expecting it to be. They’ve blown us away with the design, and truly listened to what we and our customers said. It’s a great product that they’re rolling out.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They make sure that whatever we just finished up is 100% to the mark. They take more time compared to others. They made suggestions that we didn’t even think of. They stop us every step to let us know if the user flow will need more brainstorming and time before moving onto the next thing. They have a very good understanding of how the system should work. They provide ideal timelines of when we can finish the entire system and launch it.

No, they’re always on top of things. We were the subject matter experts but they were the right people to let us know how to transfer the expertise into a solution

We were assigned a project manager - Rafik. After moving to the next step he made a detailed report to us. This helped to avoid many misunderstandings and finish the project on time.

Rafik was very involved and very communicative. We had weekly calls with him and his team to discuss both completed and upcoming tasks. He delivers on time, and keeps me well-informed on a daily basis. The project manager was responsible for being a bridge between us and all of the developers.
