Tesco Clubcard promotion video for introducing user journey, benefits, and new functionalities

Mobile App Development for Sazka
Sazka had the goal of being a mobile betting station. The idea was to be able to bet wherever a user is and instantly know their results. They hired AdamApp to develop the mobile app for them. AdamApp equipped the app with a push server which allows them to send over 100,000 targeted notifications in minutes to accommodate their large number of users without a delay. Users can set reminders on selected games and announcements for draws which enables them to receive push notifications.

Mobile App Development for Tesco
Tesco was looking for a mobile app to work alongside their Clubcard reward system. The challenge for ADAMAPP LTD was to develop a mobile app for their markets in Ireland, Thailand, Malaysia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary. In addition to developing the app, the team created a parsing algorithm to provide all the features of the website and adjust perfectly to fit all smart devices. ADAMAPP LTD helped Tesco save time by developing a secure way to collect data directly from websites without the need for a mobile API.

Mobile App Development for incident reporting
The current paper solution to incident reporting is lengthy and difficult to trace the history of a specific incident. AdamApps’s idea was to develop an application that will replace the paper-based case reporting solution of the internal/external thefts, slips and falls and robberies. The app was developed for iPads supporting iOS 11 and later using Azure Active Directory. The benefits of the Incident Reporting app include a 60% time savings for employees, increased efficiency and elimination of mistakes.

Please describe your company and your position there.
We are an educational app for kids in pre-school (2-8 years), we were looking for a strong partner, that could deliver for us a complete new re-brand in terms of UI/UX.
For what projects/services did your company hire ADAMAPP?
UI/UX Design
How did you select this vendor?
I knew the company for a long time, especially Radek (CEO), I knew how good they are and the quality they deliver, when we were about to pick our partner for the design, it was a no brainer.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
Their team conducted research, and analysed throroughly the market and competition, they consulted with us each stage. After anaylsis, they began to draft UX proposals, through which we agreed on the following steps. After finishing UX, the UI stage began, which again was delivered in perfect condition and after a thorough analysis of the competitors and the market.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
My team worked with the Designer and Project Manager, we worked also closely with the CEO and Head of design, to ensure best quality.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Currently we are implementing the new designs, but the designers prepared all screens cautiously and prepared them well enough for our developers, which can start implementing them right away.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The Project Manager was easy to talk with and always did his best to communicate with us all blockers and gave his best for us to be satisfied with the designs.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their UI/UX skills were at top level, they were quick on their feet and made changes right away. Their UI/UX designer (Tomas) was a great and very talented guy!
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nothing that comes to our mind, top level work and fully satisfied with the result!

Web Dev & Mobile App Dev for Online Marketplace
"They were very prompt at getting back to us and were always there to help us solve complex problems."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the group CEO of Zellebrate Holdings and we have an online marketplace that represents local retailers.
What challenge were you trying to address with ADAMAPP?
We have a technology up in the cloud that collects information from retailers, and we needed a website to show their products to the consumers.
What was the scope of their involvement?
ADAMPAPP built our Android, iOS, and web apps that interface with the consumers. They developed the apps using the Angular structure, and implemented features like product search and online purchasing. Prior to the development, I provided them with a prototype that we built 2 years ago, to see the actual app working in a real environment. The prototype was just a device to show the functionality, so they didn’t use the existing technologies we built it on.
What is the team composition?
I worked with an analyst at the start and had a web designer and graphic designer in the initial phase for about six weeks. The CEO also joined us in the meetings to work out structurally how things could be solved and built.
How did you come to work with ADAMAPP?
We crossed-check them from a few references. We have clients spread across Europe, so we needed a group that was global and had experience working in the European market. ADAMAPP had that reach and knowledge, and their prices were competitive.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested $320,000 AUD (approximately $240,600 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
The project ran from November 2020–June 2021. They completed the website, but right now they’re just doing extra bits outside the scope.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We measured the success by the initial specification of what the app could do. Was the app clear? Was it structurally sound? Did it have all the capabilities of Amazon or any of those other big websites? There was a lot of detail involved and we just tested whether those capabilities worked or not.
How did ADAMAPP perform from a project management standpoint?
I couldn’t have imagined a better project manager. He always kept an eye on things and every week we met with him with the management and development team. They were always on time and they always catch up whenever things went wrong.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We were impressed with their reliability and technical knowledge. They were also very honest because they didn’t try to hide anything. If something fell behind or something hadn’t worked, they told me what they were going to do about it. Additionally, I think their prices were fair and they weren’t just there to make money, I think they really wanted us to be successful — they included us in everything and wanted the outcome to be good.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not really. It was a very complex project, but I think they communicated well with our developers all the time. They were very prompt at getting back to us and were always there to help us solve complex problems.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would say to give as much information as you can about what you’re trying to do. Don’t just give them the scope of how it’s going to end up looking, provide them with the overall bigger picture and what you’re trying to achieve. ADAMAPP is really good at realizing your vision with technical advice.

Mobile App Dev for Sports Betting Platform

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the brand manager of SAZKA a.s. We’re a lottery company that builds applications for sports betting.
What challenge were you trying to address with ADAMAPP?
We brought them on for their mobile application development services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They developed our mobile app from scratch. It has a live betting functionality that allows users to bet directly on a match or game that they’re watching. Sometimes there are hundreds of matches over a single weekend that users can instantly bet on. The application is heavy and needs to continuously function with a lot of requests and activities happening simultaneously. It’s on both iOS and Android.
We ran into a difficult challenge because we have an external provider who built our APIs, but the APIs weren’t stable. We tried to overcome those challenges with ADAMAPP. We managed to launch it successfully but it was delayed because of the external provider of the APIs.
What is the team composition?
We worked with a project manager, tester, iOS developer, and Android developer.
How did you come to work with ADAMAPP?
We worked with them in the past and knew the high quality of their work. We were deciding between two companies and ultimately went with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested about €200,000 (approximately $240,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
The project was from February 2018–October 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The app is now our major revenue generation channel. About 50% of our customers have joined the app. Essentially, 50% of our gross revenue comes from mobile. We have a lot of competition.
Our customers are satisfied but they’ve expressed that they’d like features that our competitors have. However, we can’t have it because of API stability. That’s not ADAMAPP’s fault, it’s the fault of our API provider. Overall, users are very satisfied; otherwise, they wouldn’t use it.
How did ADAMAPP perform from a project management standpoint?
We used Slack and Jira for project management efforts.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m most impressed with the Android developer. He was very excellent and skilled.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, nothing comes to mind. Any issues were related to our API provider and ADAMAPP was flexible so we could plan accordingly. They were successful and delivered everything so we could overcome our obstacles.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I’d highly recommend them. We had a great experience, and they weren’t that expensive.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the project manager at Tesco Mobile. My role is to liaise with external development companies and internal suppliers to define requirements, document them, and make sure those requirements are delivered upon.
What challenge were you trying to address with ADAMAPP?
We needed to build a mobile application for our customer base.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They developed a self-serve mobile app. It’s built for iOS and Android. The mobile app allows Tesco Mobile customers to manage their RAM accounts. It allows customers to login, look at their bills, send messages to customer care, and perform general customer account maintenance on their account.
What is the team composition?
I primarily work with the project manager. I’ve also dealt with a couple of the software developers. In the past, I dealt with one of their software testers.
How did you come to work with ADAMAPP?
We got in touch with them through the main Tesco organization who had done work with them previously.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about €300,000–€400,000 (approximately $352,500–$470,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in May 2018, and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The volume of customers has been maintained and to a certain degree, increased. I’ve also been tracking the feedback from customers, and I definitely see a lot of positive comments.
How did ADAMAPP perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management is very good. The project manager is very proactive. He’s very responsive and very available. There’s lots of flexibility.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They turn around the requirements very quickly. They’re very open to join in conversations very easily. There’s no stress about them joining conversations about new projects. They have good knowledge and experience with mobile apps. They’re easy to work with.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could do better regarding smoke tests. A smoke test is a definition of what works and what does not work. It’s testing pre-deployment.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be heavily involved in the engagement with them at the early stage of the project. Bring them on board as soon as possible to help them define the scope of the work.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the account director of GIANT. We are a digital agency offering website design and build services.
For what projects/services did your company hire ADAMAPP?
We were approached to build a web application for the Kaptur project, and one of the requirements was a mobile application.
What were your goals for this project?
The Kaptur project needed a complete overhaul, with a full discovery phase to expand out on the existing platform which is available but not performing. The key goal was the creation of an android app.
How did you select this vendor?
We searched online for app developers and reached out to our network, and came across ADAMAPP along with other potential providers. We opened up all forms of communication with ADAMAPP and felt they were a great team with fantastic expertise who were able to deliver based on the budgets allocated.
Describe the project in detail.
We conducted a lengthy discovery phase to uncover all of the features and requirements for the build. Adamapp produced high-level wireframes and designs for the project, essentially producing a clickable prototype by the end of it.
What was the team composition?
Two people were included from start to end. This helped keep consistency throughout.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The new designs prove the system to be more usable and refined than what was originally built, making the system far easier to navigate and speed up the process of tracking inventory.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We conducted regular sprint calls, and Adamapp always delivered when they said they would. We also opened up slack as a channel for all open discussion which was a great help during the feedback stage.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Both Radek and Dominik were fantastic to work with, always able to arrange calls at short notice or attend calls with the customer directly. Any change to a wireframe was discussed through with the customer and ensured it was understood at every stage.
Are there any areas for improvement?
None.

AR App Dev for Aviation & Aerospace Company
"Their level of speed and flexibility stand out."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the executive manager at Moravian Aerospace Cluster, an industrial aerospace organization in the Czech Republic. We represent our members worldwide, and work on state-of-the-art projects in aviation and space.
What challenge were you trying to address with ADAMAPP LTD?
We hired them to create an AR presentation for our existing app using physical aircraft models and tablets to help our customers understand the complexity of the offered services. The goal was to switch from the paper capability lists we had for our vendors to a modern way of showing those capabilities using a virtual workspace. We wanted to showcase what our partner companies could do for potential customers in terms of aircraft and aerospace production.
What was the scope of their involvement?
ADAMAPP LTD developed an AR solution for our existing iOS app. Within the AR presentation, they included key details about our product, as we’re using physical aircraft models, which are tracked through the internal iPad camera in real-time. The app then pins corresponding information about the company’s capabilities in manufacturing different aircraft parts so users can find companies for the production and testing of certain parts they need.
We plan to use it for other activities like production and training, not just marketing. There’s a wide spectrum of activities within aerospace manufacturing where we can use AR so we’re going to continue working with them on the app.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with five people from their team in total.
How did you come to work with ADAMAPP LTD?
It was a recommendation from one of our customers.
How much have you invested with them?
The project has cost around £8,000 (approximately $10,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked on this part of the project with ADAMAPP LTD from July–October 2019. We’re continuing the collaboration with them, to make the app even better.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve already used the app at a convention, where it attracted quite a lot of people. The experience at that exhibition was very positive. For our marketing purposes, the impact was very positive. We wanted to use it in other exhibitions as well, but everything’s been postponed because of COVID-19.
How did ADAMAPP LTD perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re really proactive and flexible and developed the software in quite a short time. We work as a team, with regular meetings on Skype. I communicate with different people on parts of the project, and they are effective. We have individual meetings, and most of the communication was via telephone and email. We met on Skype to review deliverables. There were no problems with project management at all.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their level of speed and flexibility stand out. They’re very quick in making the modifications we request.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We’re continuing the collaboration, and we want to make the software even better now. It would be better to have more personal meetings.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Clients should discuss any new ideas that come to their minds over the course of the project. ADAMAPP LTD is very flexible, and it’s better to make changes during the process, instead of just waiting for the outcome. It’s best to stay in touch with them and discuss the possibilities of the technology. Technology can be modified quite widely, and there are almost no limitations in this respect.

We’ve worked with other companies for brochures and consulting, but are much happier with the experience we have with ADAMAPP Ltd.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the IT manager for Tesco, a British food retail chain. I oversee our European portfolio and focus on the digital customer experience.
What challenges were you trying to address with ADAMAPP?
As a brick and mortar retailer, we hired ADAMAPP to digitalize our offerings on mobile platforms.
What was the scope of their involvement?
ADAMAPP provides end-to-end mobile development services for our digital journey, which includes e-commerce-to-door delivery, loyalty programs, call centers, and click-and-collect services. To date, they’ve developed more than 15 mobile applications for a variety of websites and users in multiple countries. ADAMAPP has built separate e-commerce and loyalty apps, as well as the backend engine for our internal data. Not counting the different language versions, we now have 5–7 live apps for internal teams, our customers, and public access.
For each project, we provide requirements and their team designs, develops, and tests the solution. Post-launch, they update and maintain the app. ADAMAPP also does research to propose new features. For example, the team once suggested using hologram technology for our digital coupons to prevent counterfeiting.
What is the team composition?
The team size varies per project. At a minimum, we work with about four resources, but that number may grow to 10–15 people for larger projects.
How did you come to work with ADAMAPP?
We found them via market research.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in 2013 and the partnership is ongoing.

App Development for Lottery & Betting Company
"I find ADAMAPP's team to be professional and highly skilled in its field."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We are a lottery company based in Prague. I am responsible for marketing and project management around our mobile applications.
What challenge were you trying to address with Adam App?
We wanted to launch our first application as a tool that could attract younger generations and technically equipped lottery players, as well as to show we were following the digital trends. In 2012, there weren't many companies specializing in mobile app development in the Czech market.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Adam App developed the first version of our app completely – from UX to graphics to development. Then came one major graphic facelift and continuous improvement of the app's functions according to users' behaviour and preferences. Now, we're launching a brand new app which will enable users to make online bets, after a registration and age verification step.
We're trying to gain as many users as possible, so Adam App is also helping with the acquisition process.
How did you come to work with Adam App?
There were few specialized companies to choose from in the Czech Republic, at the time. We chose Adam App through a recommendation and their experience in the betting industry.
How much have you invested with Adam App?
It was in the $50,000-$200,000 range.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Adam App in February 2013. Our app was launched in the fall of that year. Adam App is working on the 2.0 version of our lottery application, which will enable online betting for users.
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
I find Adam App's team to be professional and highly skilled in its field. They can not only fulfill our demands but have also come up with their own ideas and solutions. Adam App has experience working with clients both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
As of January 2017, the app has managed to attract 750,000 downloads, as well as 500,000 active users in the last 3 months. We have around 300,000 monthly users.
How did Adam App perform from a project management standpoint?
I am satisfied with Adam App's project management. Not everyone in their team has management skills, but both project leaders from Adam App that we've worked with were great. Adam App provides us with quick responses to our inquiries. If they are busy, they will let us know what the expected delivery time is.
What did you find most impressive about Adam App?
I appreciated Adam App's flexibility. They were able to help us during weekends, even though we didn't have a 24/7 support agreement. Even if we only had a verbal agreement, we could count on Adam App respecting it. They are friendly people, which made brainstorming sessions and figuring out issues easier.
Are there any areas Adam App could improve?
I would appreciate more consultation from Adam App's side on how we can solve certain issues and, moreover, active proposals on how we can improve the app. I'd also like periodic summaries with tech news in the mobile app sector and recommendations on what would be useful for us and why.
What tips or recommendations could you share that might increase the likelihood of success with Adam App?
I advise clients not to have reservations in asking Adam App for help; they can rely on the team's professional judgment. Adam App is fair regarding pricing and cost estimations. I never had any issues in this regard.
The project is still ongoing, but the client described the vendor as a top-level team that can quickly make any changes when needed. They appreciated ADAMAPP's commitment to communication and ensuring all the the designs were up to their satisfaction.
