BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the clinical director at Edmonton Primary Care. We have roughly 41 clinics throughout the Edmonton area. We provide resources to the patients including a dietitian, kinesiologist, exercise specialist, nursing, and chronic disease management.

What challenge were you trying to address with Active RMP?

We’ve been with Active RMP for some time. Most recently, we moved into a new office and needed to update our technology, which was beyond archaic.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Active RMP updated our telephones, computers, internet access, and servers. From the day we started looking at plans with the builder, they worked closely with us to update our technology. Rather than just making decisions, their team worked closely with us to develop an effective system. They provided us with options to address our needs. Their team explained what we needed and what we needed to do to implement various solutions. They set-up all of our technology including security cameras. Their team also helped with cost to make sure that we weren’t spending an arm and a leg. After opening, Active RMP has ensured everything runs smoothly. It has been nice to have them with us every step of the way.

What is the team composition?

We communicate with one teammate primarily and work with two other teammates. That’s who deals with our account but there’s a much bigger team at Active RMP.

How did you come to work with Active RMP?

Before I arrived at the company 4 years ago, Active RMP was brought on to manage IT services. We didn’t want to go elsewhere and kept them on, putting our IT in their hands. We didn’t want to find a new agency because they’re just so good.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started collaborating more than four years ago but I don't know how long they've been with our company. Active RMP continues to support us.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When helping us to purchase computers, they made sure the technology wasn’t overpriced and would work for the people who would use it. Their team is good at finding simple components such as keyboards or monitors.

Active RMP’s service is amazing. We had a power outage two days ago. Active RMP notified me about the power that night, stating they would keep an eye on the situation. At six o’clock the next morning, their team said there was still no pulse and would meet me at the office. Before I even got there, they had fixed the issue. They’re so quick.

How did Active RMP perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate by e-mail, phone calls or text. Active RMP has a ticketing system through e-mail but I pretty much bypass the system. If we call, their team is on-site right away. I never have to call or text them twice. They get back to me quickly. Even when a teammate was away, he would attend meetings online. Their team is always in touch, no matter what.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their customer service and knowledge distinguish Active RMP from other providers. It’s not just how much they know but also their ability to explain technology in laymen’s terms. Their team is amazing and works well with our staff. They developed a couple of pages explaining how to use some of our technology such as our TVs. Their team goes above and beyond.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we’ve never run into any issues with Active RMP. They’re an easy-going team.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

To be honest, I can’t think of anything.
