I’m the founder of Willis Sports Organization, a sports tech startup. We create platforms that help coaches recruit athletes around the world.
What challenge were you trying to address with AceBuddy?
We needed help with developing an MVP using Wix as the platform.
What was the scope of their involvement?
In the beginning, we went over the entire scope of the project, explaining to AceBuddy all the features and functionalities that needed to be implemented for the MVP. From there, they started with the development work, helping us build two major components: a dashboard and a player profile. During this process, the team a lot of backend coding and connectivity efforts. They developed a middleware to connect the backend to our AWS database and allow everything to show up on the frontend.
We also gave AceBuddy access to our Figma account so that they could better understand our designs and be able to implement the frontend.

Their team always communicated with us despite the difference in time zones — whenever we left a message for them, they responded to it immediately. We used Slack as our main tool for communication.
They tracked tasks using Trello, which allowed us to see the progression of the project. They also sent us documentation regarding any issues, completed deliverables, and pending tasks on a weekly basis.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their in-depth knowledge of Wix was impressive. There were a lot of things that we couldn’t implement on the platform, but they were able to come up with alternative solutions quickly.

They could improve on their technical knowledge.

I’m the CEO of Credopard GmbH, one of the largest healthcare organizations in Germany. We predominantly support pharmaceutical companies.

Our in-house team built our new and existing website, and not all of its functionalities worked as intended. We needed AceBuddy’s team to resolve that through their web design skills.

Apart from refining its existing features, AceBuddy has also incorporated additional functionalities into our Wix website to highlight its usability and responsiveness. I am the CFO and director of acquisitions at Evidence Based Capital, a multi-family syndication that purchases multi-family real estate property using pooled funds from investors.
What challenge were you trying to address with AceBuddy?
We wanted a website that would be accessible to our investors 24/7. We needed a website that could handle our current needs and scale up to meet our investors’ future needs.
What was the scope of their involvement?
At the beginning of our engagement, AceBuddy provided an overview of their offerings to ensure our needs matched their expertise. Then, their team developed a website in English and Spanish that allowed our investors to log in at all times and participate in investments with us. AceBuddy also assisted with last-minute content additions and edits.
On the website, investors can have their questions answered and access feedback. There is also a feature that allows investors to request a call from my staff to discuss any issues.

As a startup organization, we had a limited budget but still needed a company with a lot of experience in website development. Additionally, since we are based in southern California, we wanted a bilingual website. Since AceBuddy was based in Costa Rica, they checked our boxes, so we hired them.

How did AceBuddy perform from a project management standpoint?
AceBuddy had good project management and worked around my busy schedule. Communication was good, and they were very helpful throughout the project. It was nice having only one point of contact because there was less room for error or miscommunication.
I connected with Albert 3–4 times a week and we usually communicated through WhatsApp. If I sent Albert a message late at night, I could count on him to respond early the next day. He kept me up to date with progress and provided plenty of opportunities to make our own suggestions. They hit the estimated cost and timelines exactly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
AceBuddy’s commitment to delivering a quality product is fantastic. From the initial request to the final product, they ensured that they listened to our needs and reflected them in the deliverables. AceBuddy is very experienced but still a small enough agency to be personable and attentive to detail.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Personally, I would appreciate it if AceBuddy would trade advertising opportunities in exchange for ongoing web enhancement services.

I’m the owner of a digital radio station that provides entertainment and education.
What challenge were you trying to address with Stackk?
We’ve done several projects with Stackk, including web development. We’ve also developed an app with them.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Stackk designed our website and application. They practically did everything we asked them to do, such as turning the information we gave them into design concepts. We provided them our logo, and they used that as inspiration for the rest of the project.
At present, the app is available on Android, and we’re working on putting it on the iOS store, too. Meanwhile, the website provides information about us and everything we do. People can go there, sign up, and start listening to our radio station. The application is also available for download via this website.

Our team now has the ability to collect data through the website and app, which we couldn’t do before. We use the information for our marketing efforts, and that’s been truly helpful for our business. Moreover, everybody is satisfied with our online presence. Our company stands out and looks professional, and this helps us develop our customers’ perception of us. This way, we show them that we’re serious about what we do, and it’s been great for our reputation.
Overall, I foresee us working with Stackk in the future. They’ve become crucial to our core business because they’re housing our app and maintaining our website. Our relationship with them is going to continue this way as long as we’re fair to one another.
How did Stackk perform from a project management standpoint?
Stackk’s project management is great, and the team members work by the book. If they can’t do something, they’ll tell me; if they can do it, they’ll work hard to make it happen. Throughout the relationship, they’ve communicated well with us via either WhatsApp or Slack. Moreover, our teams have done our planning sessions via texts or email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Stackk’s customer service is great. Their work is amazing. Based on the back and forth conversations that we’ve had, the team is people-centered. Overall, they’re good people, and we enjoy great customer service.
Are there any areas they could improve?
While they’re doing a great job, a little more face-to-face interaction can be good. They should think about using technology that allows them to connect with people face to face.
On top of that, their communication can still improve. For instance, when I requested them to look into the app and how to build it, it took them several months to get back to me with a response. That being said, once they decided to do it, we moved forward.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Come to Stackk either with all your ideas or with no ideas at all — they’ll help you in any case. They’ll build your brand and deliver what you want to get out of your business.

I’m the owner of MMB Lifestyle, an online shop that also offers personal training and nutritional advice. In the store, we have digital and physical products available.
What challenge were you trying to address with Stackk?
I needed someone to design and develop my website. I had some background in web design, but it was the first time I’d be using Wix, so I needed help.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Stackk designed and developed the landing and about pages, and they did the blog’s setup. They also updated and set up the shop, updating products as well.
When we started, I had a skeleton template and some ideas in my head. We worked together back and forth, and they gave some input on what would work best for customer experience and from a management perspective in the backend.
Stackk developed many of the things I wanted to have in there. We used JavaScript, Node.js, and a MySQL database for all the products we have. They even designed the product grids on the online shop, setting up where I wanted the products to show up and their order.
We also did some programming events, where people could sign up online and link to an external video conferencing provider, then back to the sign-up page on the website.

I directly interact with the project lead, and I know there are two people in the team.
How did you come to work with Stackk?
Wix has a feature where you can choose experts from the ones they have listed. I had a couple of people write to me, and I went back and forth. Stackk was one of the last ones I responded to, but I went with my gut and chose them. I just had a good feeling about them.

We started working together in May 2020. Whenever we need updates or features added, we go to them.

I get tons of feedback from clients and customers saying how professional, nicely designed, and user-friendly it is. I’m happy with how it looks.
How did Stackk perform from a project management standpoint?
The project management is good. When I have additional questions, they’re very supportive. They send our invoices and payment receipts on time, and everything is well managed. Overall, they’re really efficient.
When we kicked off the project, we had some conference calls, and their team is available via email and phone.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re absolutely brilliant, responsive, and professional. They really focus on the client’s needs. I’m looking forward to a continued business relationship with them. I highly recommend them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The only thing is the time zone difference, but there’s nothing we can do about that. However, the nice thing about being in a different time zone is that I can check on stuff the next day and things are already moving.
Nonetheless, they’ve done a great job. They should just keep doing the same.

Construct a channel to obtain formal and legal Social Investments through our Jotforms aplication and our preferred payment processor
What were your goals for this project?
- Build a coding based on Corvid that allow us to link our Jotforms application to Wix backend and then to our payment processor.
- Make it responsive and friendly to the user
- The impact is significant as it allow us to formalize our funding channel for Social Investments through our website.
How did you select this vendor?
We've considered many other vendors and we made an analysis based upon their understanding of our needs and their description of possible solutions. Finally we analyzed if the cost was affordable. Based on these we decided to hire this vendor.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
We told the vendor about our need and general guidelines. Upon this he analyzed the situation and proposed to us a possible solution which was subject to some risks. We decided to carry on with the first part of the project which was the linking of Jotforms application to Wix backend. Once this was done successfully we proceded to the integration with our payment processor (MercadoPago) while using Corvid coding language. The vendor did the integration successfully. Afterwards he offered to make it responsive and gave us useful tips on frontend design.
What was the team composition?
We always communicated with Al Sanchez who was the project leader from STACKK. He and his team worked actively on different parts of the project. The size of the team did not change over time.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
This project enable us to formalized legally one of our main funding channels: Social Investments. These must be done through a legal contract which can only be made using a particular form from Jotforms. With this, we could expand our funding in a formal and legal way and have all of our investments well documented and registered to regulatory norms. The system is robust and efficient and has fully accomplished our expected results.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
Communication and updating was excellent. Al was highly available and we had conversations through Skype and Whatsapp. He constantly explained meticuoulsy every single step he was making and which were the futher steps required. Compliance with deadlines was optimal.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They’re able to adjust to your needs and offer a unique, personalized solution for highly complex projects. Their price is affordable for non profits, and I don't think we could have made it with another vendor considering out limited budget. The company is always available for any changes and improvements that needs to be done, without hesitation at all. Their communication is excellent and the fact that they are always ready to help is extremely appreciated.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I currently don't know any areas for improvement.
