I wanted to created a testimonial style marketing video to share on my social media outlets, to promote my book.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Mike was very eager to answer any of my questions up front and he had great confidence that we would be able to accomplish the goals for the project that we had set. He was very professional and it was easy to tell from the start that he has had years of experience in the field.

Prior to coming to our home for the video shoot, Mike helped me set helpful guidelines for constructing a script that would get our message across in a conscise and constructive way. On the day of the video shoot, he brought all of his lighting, cameras and teleprompter to our home. He helped coach me on how to read through the script in a natural way that would be relatable to my audience.

We've received lots of feedback saying how wonderful our video is and how it showcases our product in a way that is appealing to our audience.

Their ability to adapt and work with customers of different sizes, scales, and backgrounds is impressive.

We were looking for fresh new media to utilize on our social media and in paid marketing campaigns.

How did you select Acclaim Media and what were the deciding factors?

We asked our PR company for recommendations and then reviewed reels. We had an introductory meeting and Mike felt like a solid fit.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

Mike helped us every step of the way. We started with an introductory call to establish what we wanted to accomplish. Then there was some clarification emails to come to clear objectives. Once we signed the contract we worked on scripts. Mike would send a draft and we offered feedback. We scheduled a film date.

On film day he and another individual came to collect as much footage as possible. Within a short time after Mike had first draft videos to me. I sent feedback, and he sent final cuts.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with Mike, who was great. He was communicative and timely. He came ready to work with an organized list of objectives. It's a little scary having visitors during Covid, but he and the cameraman were very thoughtful about being safe.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We've had feedback from a few of our current customers saying what a nice depiction of the school we've gotten. We have only just begun using it in for paid marketing campaigns.

We used Zoom for our intro call, then communicated primarily over email. When it was time for product delivery we got everything through Drop box.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team was really personable and easy to work with. The work was of high quality.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We did things during Covid and regulations are still rapidly changing. I just hope if needed we can make some simple tweaks in the future to keep the content current.

What challenge were you trying to address with Acclaim Media?

I had a product, a new ceramic spray, that I wanted to showcase and launch, so we hired them for video production and social media marketing support. We wanted to bridge over into the broader market of cars and motorcycles as well.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I gave them some high-level bullet points of what I’d like to hear about the product itself and they structured the 4k video. We spent a day shooting the video and they produced it. I handled the voiceover work, but they worked on everything else involved in editing it together. 

What is the team composition?

I worked directly with Mike (Owner). 

How did you come to work with Acclaim Media?

A mutual friend recommended Acclaim Media. After a phone interview and some reference checks, I went with them. Their cost was extremely competitive based on what I saw in the marketplace. Their references and companies had strong content that was right up my alley, too. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $2,500 on their services. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June–July 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

It’s a bit early since we only just started advertising with the video. However, I’m satisfied with the final product they delivered. It was a successful delivery of what I asked for. 

How did Acclaim Media perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed excellently. Mike laid everything out from start to finish. As we hit milestones, we had an opportunity to tweak things and then moved on to the next. We usually communicated through email and then weekly phone calls to recap our email conversations. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of the video sets them apart — it was edited seamlessly and was very professional. As opposed to what you see with homemade content on social media, it doesn’t compare to what they delivered. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wasn’t in love with some of the final clarity of the coloring in the video, but I think it’s because we were outdoors so I’m not sure if anything could have been done there. Everything else was seamless. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Letting them take the reins in project management is a smart decision. Even though I had a strategic direction, letting them run with the creative work is a good idea because they have a lot of experience.

Mike and Jeff with Acclaim Media were great. They understood that we wanted to have a short and very direct message of who we are and what services we offer to our customers.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

There were a few impressive points. 1. How they were able to take my very "techie" script and brought it down to something that was clear for anyone to understand. 2. Acclaim was able to adjust to our office size, and showcase our work area and staff vibe. 3. Being in the tech space its hard to bring into video what we do and illustrate our day to day operations. I was very please on how Acclaim produced our video

There isn't anything I would have done differently. Acclaim Media produced a video that far reach my expectations .
