What challenge were you trying to address with Aaron Design Studio?

We used to rely on an overseas provider for our web development. That collaboration required a lot of oversight, which quickly became too time-consuming. We brought Aaron Design Studio on to efficiently assist us with UX design and project management.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Aaron (Owner & UX Designer, Aaron Design Studio) recently provided us with wireframes and have been configuring an extensive algorithm for the API backend database.

Aaron presents his progress and plans in a methodical way which has been extremely effective. He listens to our needs, gathers the data, documents the information, and follows up with us later. While other companies have required more supervision, Aaron’s expertise and competence allow us to take a hands-off approach.

What is the team composition?

I engage primarily with Aaron but have also worked with Elina (Digital Strategist, Freelancer) who does branding.

How did you come to work with Aaron Design Studio?

After narrowing down our search to companies based in the US or Israel, we found his website through a Google search. He responded very quickly to my email, and we’ve been working together since.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $16,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement began in May and is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

While I can’t provide real analytics for Aaron’s success because we’re still in the development stages, our internal team has been very impressed with his work. His eye to detail is outstanding. He comes up with creative solutions that we’d never think of ourselves and has done an excellent job overall.

How did Aaron Design Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

He’s been exceptional—I really couldn’t have asked for more. He’s right on top of all tasks. On top of being extremely responsive, he works to build a relationship with you. You get the sense that he’s really there for his clients, seven days a week.

Other than phone and email, we utilize Slack and Skype to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

His attention to detail and his effort to truly understand the scope of the work are outstanding. He takes full ownership of the work he provides.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I really can’t think of anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Think about your project prior to approaching Aaron. You have to believe in your own vision because Aaron will completely commit to it. If you’re both invested in your project, that builds the best relationship. Aaron Design Studio isn’t the cheapest—since we weren’t looking for the cheapest, but the best—and it’s worth every penny.

What challenge were you trying to address with Aaron Design Studio?

We were looking for someone to help us with our website redesign.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially had a design for the MVP. We wanted to scale up and have a much higher level of design and performance, so we reached out to Aaron (Owner, Aaron Design Studio).

Aaron essentially took our existing site and made edits to it. He began by going through all the pages and analyzed them through Google Analytics, Hotjar, and every other available tool to understand the current situation. He also interviewed users so that he could better understand the challenges. Following that, he created a draft just to build the building block to use later on. After it was approved by our team, we went ahead with the UI. The site is built using WordPress and PHP.

I met Aaron at a local meetup.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent around $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together on this project from March-August 2017. We’ve hired Aaron a few times since then for smaller projects.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We saw about a 30% increase in conversion rates, which was tremendous. His work was of very high quality and was done on time. He really understood what we do and understood everything around the marketing efforts that we do. It was great.

How did Aaron Design Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

He did great. We most often communicated through phone, email, and Skype.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The conversion rate standpoint was very strong. Aaron Design Studio really understood what we needed and helped us get there.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not that I recall.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Give Aaron all the data around the project, including hard numbers for analytics and other types of information, including real traffic data and user behavior.

I’m a product manager for a software company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Aaron Design Studio?

We wanted to build a consumer-facing marketing analytics system, but we needed help with the UX/UI design.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Aaron (UX Designer, Aaron Design Studio) designed all of the different screens, all of the features, and the user experience in the product. Working closely together, we began with the wireframes and then created designs.

What is the team composition?

I worked solely with Aaron.

How did you come to work with Aaron Design Studio?

When I was at a different startup, we worked together. I remembered him and gave him a call.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement with Aaron Design Studio started in December 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The work was done quite fast and at a high level. Aaron gave me better time estimations than other designers. He’s delivered 100% of the time. In terms of the quality of work and value, I’m happy with the collaboration.

How did Aaron Design Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

The project is extremely focused. In my case, it is easy to manage because Aaron isn’t working with several stakeholders. We typically communicate through WhatsApp, Google Hangouts, video calls, and phone calls. Even though it wasn’t necessary because we were comfortable with the remote work, he came to the office on occasion.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Aaron gives a lot of attention to his products. As long as he believes in the business goals and understands the specific or reasoning behind a change, he gives his full attention. He performs competitive research to see how others are doing. To me, that’s an added value and advantage of working with Aaron.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, none that I can think of.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Clients need to make sure Aaron can relate to the product they’re working on. It would be hard for him to design a product that he doesn’t understand beautifully.

I’m the digital marketing manager at Yossi Ben Noon, a men’s clothing shop in Tel Aviv, Israel.

What challenge were you trying to address with Aaron Design Studio?

We needed a partner to develop an easy to use, inviting, and modern website to improve conversions.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Aaron Design Studio redesigned our WordPress website. They reviewed our existing website and made recommendations to improve the platform such as where to place menus on pages. Following their suggestions, we discussed the structure and design of the new website, which was to be modern and inviting. They created a sketch for our team to review. After providing our feedback, we gave their team the go-ahead. Using Adobe Illustrator, the team designed our new website.

A colleague recommended them. I contacted a few other suppliers but had good chemistry with Aaron Design Studio. After seeing their work, we to move forward with the project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re happy with the results; the website’s how we wanted it. Aaron Design Studio created a platform that’s bringing more traffic to the store. People are spending more time on the site, contributing to the increased number of conversions.

How did Aaron Design Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

We held a few meetings and communication was good. We experienced some issues, which we fixed over the phone. Aaron was easy to work with: friendly and professional. He was always available.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Aaron Design Studio did their job well. Their greatest asset is that the business is a one-man show.

No, Aaron did everything perfectly.
