First Custom-Built Metaverse In Qatar
Vodafone Qatar was looking to launch their new experiential store in Place Vendome Mall, by engaging with customers and mall visitors in an interactive and immersive way. A101 partnered with Vodafone and helped design and develop a fully customized Metaverse experience for the first time in Qatar.
Through this Metaverse experience, A101 assisted Vodafone to host the first hybrid live event in Qatar which was both physical and virtual. A launch of its national campaign “We Fan Together” within the Metaverse at their flagship Experiential Store.
The custom-built Metaverse showcases 4 themed rooms starting with ‘The Lobby’ showcasing Vodafone Qatar’s latest products and services, to the 3 Vodafone Qatar pillars which in turn are reflected in ‘The Innovation Room’, ‘The Sustainability Room’ and ‘The Sports Room’.
The Metaverse created is accessible through any browser, mobile app, and even in Virtual Reality (VR) for the ultimate experience.

FIFA World Cup 2022 Educational Program
Tamreen is a program that uses the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 to inspire young people to learn. It explores Qatar’s FIFA World Cup™ 2022 journey – from the historic bid to become hosts, all the way through to the legacy that the tournament will create. Films, games, quizzes, and more, all aligned to the national curriculum, provide the basis for flexible and fun lesson plans.
A101 partnered with the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy to initiate this entire program and initiative together over a 3 year period, where we came on as a full-service digital agency to consult and execute a wide array of deliverables. This was elaborated through a collaboration with Qatar Foundation and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), to align the educational content with the national curriculum of Qatar.

Ministry of Transport and Communications - Trustmark Certification Portal Theqa
Theqa is Qatar’s first eCommerce Trustmark. The Theqa Trustmark certifies that a website is secure and genuine. It reassures consumers that it has been approved by the Ministry of Transport and Communications to sell goods and services.
As the portal is the main gateway for merchants to get certified, A101 took on the task to build a flawless system generating certificates when needed and allowing the administrator to manage the criteria fulfillment and applications of new merchants.

Rasekh Educational Platform Hub
Rasekh is an initiative from Qatar Foundation under PUE to promote and support QF and other schools in Qatar to offer a glocalized program. These educational resources from local entities will make it possible for the teachers to meaningfully connect lesson plans in schools to the local context.
A101, with extensive experience in the educational sector, created the following for Rasekh:

The Zone Gym Mobile Application

Fadfad - Video Consultation Business
Fadfad is a mobile application that provides a digital and anonymous safe space. Revolving around providing content, and most importantly real-time sessions in the palm of your hand.
A101 led the mobile application project by developing a multiplatform mobile application, with custom dashboards for the application itself, and for the coaches which conduct sessions.
Another part of Fadfad was creating a modern and comforting website to showcase the application.

Ooredoo - VR Flight Simulation
Ooredoo was looking to present their 5G Drone Flying Taxi at the international Mobile World Congress (MWC) and give visitors a chance to experience a test flight.

Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy - Worker Wellness Program
Together with A101, the SC has launched a smartphone app to help construction workers improve their professional and personal lives during their time in Qatar. Initiated by the SC’s Workers’ Welfare Department and Special Projects Office the app was developed to leverage the overwhelming number of workers who use smartphones and would benefit from a customised platform capable of enhancing their everyday lives.
The app was developed following an intensive consultation period with SC workers led by SC and A101. During the development phase, workers at Lusail Stadium were asked for their feedback on the features, functionality and design of the app, which is intended as a one-stop shop for all their needs. Following an initial pilot with 250 workers, Sadiqi has been rolled out to all 22,000 workers engaged on SC infrastructure projects.

OX Fitness Lab - Online Booking App
This App is a real companion for the members of the Ox Fitness Lab as it offers features such as booking classes, following personal status, consulting fitness program and even communicating with other members. Order and pay at the juice bar with a cashless system! The App was also delivered with an integrated management of the rooms, clients and payment solution for the clients using RFID tags. This exclusive App has been developed for Ox Fitness Lab, a new and visionary venue promoting an active way of life that helps you feel fit, look fit and be fit.

Monoprix Digital Retail Technology Solutions
Monoprix's latest digital retail branch was looking to be the most advanced in terms of technology, further embracing the future of shopping. A101 rose to the challenge and provided Monoprix with different innovative solutions that would do just that.
- Monoprix Feels: An interactive experience using hand motion detection, combined with a screen that shows visitors certain foods based on how they are feeling that day.
- Monoprix Makeup: An engaging AR solution where customers can try various types of cosmetics on an iPad, allowing them to view the makeup virtually on their own face.
- Portagraf: A fully-customized SaaS for Monoprix, a digital wall where users can sign and/or create drawings and have them all displayed on a large screen for everyone to view.
Combined to enhance the environment of shopping, in the name of fun and engagement!

Smart City Expo Doha 2022 Activations
A101 is proud to have supported Tasmu Smart Qatar and Tasmu Digital Valley with various activations for their booth at the Smart City Expo Doha 2022.
A101 designed and developed an interactive and informational touchscreen display for visitors and well as provided A101's own developed and licensed product; Portagraf; which allowed visitors to share their signatures on a digital wall.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Through our procurement system and tendering protocol.

Before we go a head and approve the proposal we had a presentation from the vendor and they gave us so many options and they were flexible to support with any extra help we might need. They provided us a training sessions and this was helpful for our team members use the platform.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Around 10 persons in different area such as design and development, content management, project managers and officers.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Still we have some of the website didn't go live since we have 9 schools 3 of them is already live for the audience and the others still under integration process between the company and QF IT team.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We used to have a weekly update meeting between the PUE Comms team (presented by me) and their team. As well we had meetings with QF IT and PUE IT team in order to see the obstacles and the operations.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their quick response and awareness of what the customer needs and wants are impressive. Also advising us on what really helpful for our industry since we are having top quality schools in Qatar. ' The design and development team were amazing and ready to gave us their innovation and they are following the branding guidelines.

To Assign more development officers for such a big project.

We needed to create an innovative and engaging experience in our experience store's theatre area, one that revolves around our three main brand pillars; Sports, Innovation and Sustainability.

A101 pitched to us several great ideas that combined digital innovation and experience. We chose to work with them because they fully understood our scope of work, our objectives and came back with ideas that fulfilled this.

They created a Metaverse for us, with custom made rooms that showcased our brand pillars. They created: 1. The Lobby - An area that introduces Vodafone as a company 2. The innovation room - showcasing the latest digital innovations such as a Robtic Dog 3. The Sustainability room- Showcasing solar energy, wind turbines, food composting 4. The Sports room - showcasing our technology can support sports. We also used this room to launch our "We Fan Together" campaign welcoming all fans to Qatar the host nation for the 2022 World Cup

The project launched successfully and the metaverse is now up and running in our store - customers are able to experience this in store with VR and remotely through desktop. The team also helped us launch our campaign in the metaverse - where customers came to the store, were assisted to with putting on VR headsets and then entering the metaverse to witness the launch of our campaign. The this part was fully managed and supported by A101 as an addition to the work they had done for the metaverse

Very effective, the team is very capable, organized and efficient.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
That working with them was very easy - they understood our requirements quickly, needed very little managing and delivered as planned. They are also quick to come up with innovative solutions for any issues that arise.
