Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the founder of an online marketplace website that connects college and professional athletes with younger players who are looking to get better.
For what projects/services did your company hire 6sense Technologies, and what were your goals?
We needed to build a website that was easy to use, intuitive, and technological advanced to allow for training online to take place. One of the biggest challenges we had to face was optimizing the interaction between coaches and their students, which is very hard to produce online. The solution 6sense Technologies came up with to the problem was truly innovative and first in class.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We interviewed different providers and selected 6sense Technologies because of two main factors: their proven track record of success developing businesses, and the leaderships passion and commitment to building great products.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We first sat down to create a feature list with all the features we wanted to include in our MVP. This list was super organized and guided our development in the months that followed. After that, we divided the project into sprints, we a reasonable of time to complete each sprint, which was around 2 weeks. Then came the fun part, development. The team at 6sense took complete control of the design, and development of the product, and were able to complete it under the estimated time.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I was in constant contact with the CTO of the firm. He was also the project manager overseeing the development of the product. It was very exciting and fun to get to learn about the process of building a great product from him.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
I don't have any meaningful measurable outcomes yet, as we are still in startup mode actively recruiting users. But I can tell you that the interactions we've had with our early users seem to suggest that we made an excellent choice in partnering with 6sense Technologies for the development of our platform.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We used different methods of communication. At the beginning of important sprints, we scheduled a meeting to talk about the potential challenges and solutions that we may encounter. After that, most communication occurred asynchronous through email. I can only describe their communication style as excellent. Every change that we made was reflected on the features list, to make sure everything is accounted for.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their strong technical skills and speed of development are super impressive.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I don't have anything at the moment.

Web Dev & Design for Employee Management Platform
"I find it comforting that they follow the schedule they provided me with. It establishes trust between us."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of a website that helps small to medium-sized businesses manage their employees’ tasks.
What challenge were you trying to address with 6sense Technologies?
I was looking for quality developers who could create a program with minimal bugs, so I’m working with 6sense Technologies to implement my idea correctly.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I began by explaining my concept to 6sense Technologies. The team asked me to search for potential and existing users that they could interview and discuss employee management pain points with. This helped them enhance the idea that I initially had.
6sense Technologies then provided sketches to help me visualize what the website would look like, not only on desktop but also when viewed on a mobile device. They then went on to develop the site from scratch and designed the UI and wireframes, incorporating everything they discovered during their interviews with the users.
The team also created my logo and did very basic branding for my platform. They’ve completed the website and are now working on adding the features I requested.
What is the team composition?
I’ve worked with around four people from the team: the project manager, the team leader, the owner, and one of the developers. There were others involved but I haven’t talked to them directly.
How did you come to work with 6sense Technologies?
I was searching for developers and saw 6sense Technologies’ profile on Upwork. I looked into their previous work and decided to hire them.
How much have you invested with them?
The whole project costs around $35,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
I approached 6sense Technologies in October 2020 and we started working in November 2020. The project is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Since we are still in the process of adding more features to the website, I don’t yet have any specific statistics or numbers. However, I will say that I really like 6sense Technologies’ services. I’ve dealt with many people but their team’s performance is quite unique. I find it comforting that they follow the schedule they provided me with. It establishes trust between us, which is a key thing.
How did 6sense Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
I speak with the team daily, and they give me status updates as well as reports of what they’ve accomplished. We communicate through WhatsApp, emails, and sometimes Zoom. They set deadlines and distribute tasks to each member through Jira, which I’ve been given access to.
There has been no delay in 6sense Technologies’ work, except for one time that was due to a misunderstanding. We quickly overcame this and were able to move forward. Overall, their project management is very good.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What distinguishes 6sense Technologies from other providers is that they give daily feedback on their work. Also, if I wish to understand something specific and technical, they explain it to me very openly. Their way of dealing with the customer is very pleasant and makes them better than other agencies that I’ve worked with.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I think they could improve on the way they present the branding. I wasn’t given a catalog of any sort, which is the only thing I didn’t like about their service.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would recommend 6sense Technologies to anyone who is looking for quality customer service at a reasonable price.
While the client can't share any measurable data, they've been pleased with the feedback from early users of their platform. 6sense Technologies works in sprints, allowing for an organized process and timely submissions. They're also flexible in terms of accommodating sudden changes in requirements.
