We were looking for specialists capable of developing the style for our project, taking into account its specifics. Teenagers are the target audience of our educational platform so the design should be catchy and attention-grabbing, it should include unusual shapes and combinations. 
Our hypothesis is that by changing the design, we will increase the teens' engagement, they will no longer be afraid of creating their own activities. In addition, they will better associate the platform with themselves and with games. It was also necessary to take into account that we were about to create the mobile app on the basis of the website and the style was to be applied there as well.

We needed to do market research to better understand how we can highlight Superlook.ai and make the user experience more smooth. Based on the research results, we started implementing new ideas and features into the web application, starting from the mobile version as we were developing mobile apps in parallel. Key deliverables are: 

• web version of Superlook.ai ready for development (both mobile and desktop with a huge UI-kit and content needed for the platform)
• design of the landing page to sign in to the platform
• a huge amount of small design tasks we asked to do in parallel with the main task.

We started working with 69pixels. to get a total redesign for our website and create most of assets for the game. Our game had grown tremendously by that time since the inception of our website so that we needed to refresh it. So we decided to go for a complete re-build of the site, looking for a design that would be able to promote our team and high-class product.

The challenge was to improve the visual, structure and usability of the site. We wanted to get a website with a modern and brave design to be visited both by our users and potential investors.

We had a series of online meetings to work through ideas, and he provided us with a clear set of options for the website design. At each stage of the process we were able to communicate about improvements and tweaks. The guys prepared the terms of reference, created and researched user cases for the detailed understanding of the target audience behavior. Next, the team carefully worked on the prototypes and structure of the site.

The guys developed several design concepts an later we chose one of them. There was no single page left without attention and not studied carefully by the team! Further, the guys were engaged in adaptive versions of the site and even developed their own design system for that, which allowed them to complete this stage quickly and efficiently. At the same time, we worked with the team on the interface, assets, branding elements for our product. The scope of work was really huge!

In general, it was a cool experience to work with the studio because we didn’t need to worry about finding designers for specific tasks - mobile, graphic or website design, motion – they had it all. In addition, we had art-director and project manager on the project manager.

My team and I came up with the idea of bringing fashion and gaming into one place, and soon it turned into the key idea of our startup. We were looking for someone who could help us with the design part because we already had our in-house team that consisted of a product manager and developers.

We had ready workflows and application maps and based on these assets, we wanted to do an MVP so it’d be a frugal final product that still delivered the highest value, and, of course, we expected it to be easy to use and have fabulous UI.

Someone recommended 69pixels. to us. We worked hard and carefully to select the best agency to work with. There was a list of various possible partners, but after an intro call with 69 team we understood that this was a perfect match:

Initially, we started with a quick analytics round, was 69pixels. made a detailed review of the existing workflows and collected a number of references for visual and UX solutions. As soon as we approved the direction that we wanted to move forward, the guys started working on the high-fidelity prototypes of the application.

After prototyping had been finished,they worked on the visual style on the example of the main screen of the application. It took a bit longer than we expected, but we had a lot of ideas and concepts to choose from, and as a result, we have an amazing design. But, what’s nice, the timing wasn’t hurt, because the team managed to speed up the design. In parallel, they created a UI kit for the development team and prepared a guide on animations and animations where there were necessary.

We approached 69team to help us with marketing materials as well, as we were preparing to pitch our investors. The Guys were super responsive and assisted on all the additional tasks from us.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are happy with how 69pixels completed the design of the mobile app. In case there were any questions or small tasks that needed to be done, we connected Karina and she brought the team to work on the small edits.

We know that guys are always here to help us in case something comes up or we have questions. In general, our meetings were not only about the design but also about forming the journey of the product. 69pixels. provided a lot of alternative and diverse approaches to achieve a desired mechanism of action. Some of these suggestions were pretty witty.

We felt that we were always in the loop for 69, and that they cared for this project like they were a part of the initial team – we’d managed to form a strong bond together with our internal team, and as a result, we had highly creative, technical and smart people to communicate together and create a great product that will be loved by thousands of people all over the world. 69pixels. were transparent and laid out a plan for future steps – timeline, work and people involved, pricing, and if there were some сhanges in the direction, we were always the first to know about it.

We used Telegram and Slack to communicate. They have been very good at keeping things organized and staying on top of tasks. Also, we got weekly reports and plans every Monday with the breakdown of hours spent on the project – everything was transparent and visible. 69pixels. hit all of the milestones including the desired delivery date for the MVP. We were able to execute a phased approach so that we could continue iterating on product features. All our expectations about the functionality of the app have been met so far and thus we decided to continue working with the studio at ongoing maintenance and new features implementation.

We came through three big stages: prototyping, desktop design and adaptive design for different devices. There were a few iterations before the final of each stage where we could ask some updates in design to get what we wanted. Also I can approve that their time estimates were accurate and we got all results in time.

They provided a UI Spreadsheet (CSS) which makes it easy to implement the layout of the site. New site will be more user-friendly and it will give our potential clients more information about our company and our services. As result we hope to get more customers.
