5th & Melody were recommended to me through a partner as being extremely thorough and efficient, as well as wonderful to work with. I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest.

I am not well versed in the subject of SEO but Matt walked me through the whole thing. He helped me to track my website’s statistics much more clearly so I could see exactly how well my site was performing. He taught me how to focus my site’s language to optimal key terms for searches pertaining to my business and ones like it. I couldn’t be more appreciative of how open he was to answering my endless questions WHILE doing such phenomenal work for me. My business is already growing faster than I expected.

Overall I would say I am most impressed by how thoroughly he works under such a short time frame. I feel like it would have taken a huge team to pull off what he did, but apparently, some people just know what they’re doing. Matt is one of those people. I will be telling everyone I know to use his business. He is a joy to work with, so good at teaching, and incredible at his job.

Honestly, I have nothing bad to say.

We spoke with a couple of web design companies and we're impressed with 5th & Melody's ability to scale the project to our needs and provide ongoing support at a competitive cost.

We started with a kick-off meeting to discuss goals, key features, and design. From there, we were prompted to provide any necessary assets and additional information for the project. Once build began, we were kept in the loop on each stage and given mockups to review and provide feedback on until the project was completed to our satisfaction.

We've had one primary point of contact throughout.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

5th & Melody were able to deliver a custom website to our specs on a tight timeline. As we've continued to assess our evolving needs since the initial build, they've remained a great partner, helping us to find and implement solutions to best meet those needs.

While the initial build was done on a very tight timeline, we were finding that updates were taking longer than expected, but after talking it through, we've agreed on timelines based on project parameters that work for us both.

Their flexibility in meeting our needs instead of a one-size-fits-all approach has been key.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We've seen a few mistakes make their way onto the site but have since implemented an approval system that allows us better review capability before anything is published.

I'm the owner of Captivate Writers Collective, a small content creation agency. We mainly write blogs, website copy, and email marketing campaigns for small businesses.

We weren't getting enough website traffic, and as such our cost per lead was astronomical. We wanted a simple way to drive inquiries and get organic leads through our site every month.

I knew Matt from collaborating with him on another project. I remembered he was thorough, detailed, and precise. That's what I needed, and I wasn't going to accept anything less. So I sent him an email, and he replied within minutes.

Matt deployed better analytics and tracking tools for my website so that I could see my stats more clearly. Then, he went about helping me pinpoint stronger key terms that would help drive traffic my way. During the process, he helped educate me on several factors that would contribute to my success. I'd never seen a freelancer be so open to educating their clients, but Matt is an above and beyond type. I liked working with him so much that I'm about to hire him for a PPC campaign as well. He's already helped my website get within the top three results on Google, and I couldn't be happier with his work.

Matt helped my site reach the first page of Google, which in and of itself was an incredible accomplishment. Our monthly traffic has nearly quadrupled since, and I've gotten a steady trickle of qualified leads thanks to my own copywriting.

I only have positive things to say. Matt and I collaborated on Slack almost exclusively, with a bit of email here and there. I never waited more than a few hours for a response from him, which was incredible and comforting.

Truly, it was the precision in communication and the attentiveness that Matt showed throughout the process. A lot of people *say* that they're available 24/7, but Matt had answers for me at the drop of a hat every single time I needed them. He was also clear and concise every time we chatted. Had no interest in overexplaining, just told me exactly what I need to know in exactly as many words. I felt treated like an adult.

Not really. Everything went as planned.

I am the acting Account Manager for Marketing Services in the COVID 19 testing department. We conduct COVID 19 test and process them for clients.

We hired 5th & Melody to promote the new service offering we had and needed SEO services as well as PPC services to get the word out during COVID19. We hired them to do both services to promote testing for different sites.

We followed up with a referral and after seeing all the reviews and speaking to Matthew about the company and services we decided to move along with the work. They are really educational when they are working with us and as someone that doesn't know much about this, it's great!

We had some main things we wanted to cover and we wanted to do it very very quickly as COVID19 was already underway. We wanted to advertise that we were offering testing to companies employees and processing those test through a record system. We wanted a company that could A) Get us organic leads (SEO) and B) To get us short term leads right away, so we could start working for many companies. (PPC)

We were assigned two SEO specialist named Matthew and Samantha. Matthew was the one that spearheaded most of the efforts.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We quickly ranked #1 on google for the services we were advertising within 4 months. We launched several successful PPC campaigns that brought us overwhelmingly positive amounts of leads.

We had one person that scheduled a kick off call over google meets, from there they gathered our requirements and picked the right packages that would suite us. Then we got a proposal and then they registered us in a marketing center where we could track our billing, files, communications and metrics.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Honestly, the education while they are doing the work is helpful and impressive. In addition, the marketing center was really impressive. I could look at all the stats and PPC campaigns as they were happening and as they were adjusting.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I'd like to be more aware of additional services that may be helpful to us and sometimes theres a little delay in responses but honestly they are business and I am very pleased at their work.

I am the business development manager at a vehicle history company located in Rumson, NJ. Our company is a small company, and we service thousands of consumers and businesses looking to buy or sell cars but want history. I make sure the business continues to grow and develops.

We were looking for an agency to manage all our SEO and digital marketing services. We were looking for someone that could do our UX/UI work for our web application and mobile app. 5th & Melody was able to provide all these services.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were to become more visible on Google and other websites. We wanted to get our name out there for people looking to buy or sell cars. In addition, we wanted to be seen by dealers. On the design side, we wanted a new and easy to use the mobile app. A cleaned-up website/marketing materials.

How did you select this vendor?

We have been through many many individuals and marketing companies over the years. We did a search online and interviewed a couple. A lot of them were way to gimmicky and made things seem complicated.

Their team members were making jokes, and so on. 5th & Melody listened to what we needed, ask, and answered all the questions we had and had a good mix of offerings. They also provided free software platforms; we can always keep our marketing in one place. A business center concept was unique, and I liked that.

Once we selected 5th & Melody, we had several discovery meetings. One was to go over a questionnaire, and the other was to go over the platform and audits they conducted. Once we got through discovery, they gave us clear direction on what they were going to do, and they go to work on our SEO. As for design, we worked very closely with them in what we wanted, and they took the lead on the design from there. So far they designed our site and mobile app. They also set up our affiliate tool.

What was the team composition?

We work closely with our account representative, they deal with all the back-office staff. We never had to deal with anyone else, which is nice.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Before COVID 19, our dealer count increased month over a month, along with our revenue. Also, our site visits and keyword ranking increased month over month. During COVID our sales decreased long with our traffic, but 5th & Melody continued to build our rank.

They also wrote a really good article about automotive and how COVID19 affected the industry with over 800 clicks on Facebook and thousands of visits to our site. We are now on the final stretch of our mobile app development using their designs.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The account manager is straightforward to communicate and provide updates. He goes out of his way to provide what we need and even outside the work scope without charging us. I usually email him, but also I send text and call regularly.

If he is busy, he will let me know he will give me a call back via text. It's open communication between our company and willing to work with all team members.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

When we first spoke to 5th & Melody, we were impressed at how much knowledge they had about SEO and marketing. They gave us a ton of advice and ideas that we never thought of. We didn't even pay for that advice! We also found the snapshot report and the business center a cool item.

We get access to a business center free to track our performance, but I can also use it myself to do social media posts, reputation management, and many other things. It's just a unique experience, never had anything like it.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We enjoy working with 5th & Melody and have no reason to switch at all. I would say they can get a little busy sometimes and we won't get in contact right away but we are not the only client and not everything we do is an emergency. They make accommodations so it works.

I am the Owner at an Interior Design company. We are located in Lexington, South Carolina providing interior decorating services for our local clients. I am responsible for all art direction for interior decorating and all marketing for the entire company.

We were looking to expand our operations by providing a lot more services to our local clients. We were interested in SEO services to drive our local citations and build our ranking here in South Carolina. We don't know much about websites and SEO, so we sought out a professional company that knew what they were doing.

What were your goals for this project?

Like I said before, we were looking to build rank in our local search. The more exposure we get locally in our area, the faster we can expand into other states. We need to bring more users to our site to inquire about our services.

How did you select this vendor?

We found them through Google; after comparing several vendors, they stood out the most with a unique offering. They offer SEO supported by AI, and in addition to meeting with them, Matthew seemed very knowledgable and gave me a lot of insight and ideas before even starting.

He was very personable, and I like the fact that I don't have to deal with so many employees at once.

We reached out to them through a form on their site, and they responded the same day with a lot of information about the services, the schedule, and descriptions of what they do.

Then we had a kickoff call to discuss the process, what we needed, what they offered, and pricing. Once we signed up, we went through an onboarding process, got access to our dashboard, and answered a bunch of questions about our business and competition.

Once onboarding was complete, they gave us a detailed report of recommendations and where we stood. They also provided keyword research. So far, everything is going great, and they are now working on outreach and building backlinks.

What was the team composition?

We work directly with a project manager, and we haven't had to deal with anyone else. Any questions we ask, they either answer or find out the answers. I like that a lot and they are very professional.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are still in the initial stages, but we already see a difference. We see our citations increase and we are gaining a bit more traffic since this started. We understand it takes months to start seeing results. We are in the process of taking the recommendations, like starting an informative blog and revamping our content on our site.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We are very pleased with dealing with 5th & Melody. They are very responsive via any communication we want. I can text them, email, or schedule a call them when I want, and they are quick at responding. They also work with some of the other vendors we work with for our content and communicate directly with them. That is very nice, takes away a lot of back and forth.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We like the communication they provide and the amount of knowledge they provide on the subject. They really know their craft. They asked us a bunch of questions to understand what we did as a company and what our goals were. They also answered all our crazy questions in the beginning. We also thought that the way they use AI to get more opportunities for us is impressive.

None that I can think of right now, they are great at communication and listening to our needs. We appreciate the level of reports they provide. We are still learning what a lot of this stuff means, sometimes it's over our head, but we put full trust in what they are doing.We look forward to upward growth.

How did you select this vendor?

Google search for a local designer. Someone in the middle of the pack price-wise. Something a little different than everyone else. 5th & Melody showed an interest in developing site with personality and working together with me to create that. Many of the decisions made on the final product were their original suggestions. They made me feel important and their number one client.

I showed them my competitors pages, my business plan, and my bio. They asked enough of the right questions to develop my vision when I wasn’t sure what direction to take. They gave me a great starting point, and we went from there.

They gave me choices on the logo, which was appreciated. Most of all, they added the e-commerce pages to my package, tailor made for me. I was very impressed with their flexibility and skill at working with my bank.

5th & Melody sounded like they may be a team of a few IT guys in each of the disciplines from their webpage, such as design, development, and e-commerce. I felt like maybe it was just Matthew by himself because he was the only one that I talked to. I was fine with just him, if that's what it really is. If there is a team behind Matthew, I like that I dealt with just one person for all the complex issues.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

none yet, just getting started, but I’m optimistic. Matthew is ready to help with SEO or advertising, even if just for advice.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Tasks and conversations through Plutio. Didn't love it. I sometimes provided data for a task but didn't feel like he saw it right away. Most likely it was my lack of experience with the tasking software. I felt that 5th & Melody could tell I was a little slow on the pickup, so they would email me or text to make sure I was getting their correspondence. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Didn't stop working the issues and add-ons until the page was launched and I was happy with the final product. 

Are there any areas for improvement?

All of the major areas – design, development, logo and e-commerce (99% of the project) were just fine and delivered ahead of schedule. Better quality control at the very end could have been a little better with a few typos, but it was no big deal and corrected in minutes.

We provided all the content including text and images for their team to integrate. For the design, they created examples for us to choose what we did and didn’t like.

We worked with one individual. His name was Matthew Beasley (Founder, 5th & Harmony).

The process started before I came onto the team, so I don’t know how we found them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent less than $10,000 on the website.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project began in April 2019 and was completed in November.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website looks good. Matthew was great and did everything that needed to be done without a complaint. We were able to get the project done.

How did 5th & Melody perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated by email, barely talking on the phone. Matthew was responsive to all our corrections and made them without a problem. 5th & Harmoney was good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed by their ability to take instructions. When I emailed 5th & Harmoney, their team understood what I meant exactly. I didn’t have to keep explaining myself.

Are there any areas they could improve?

On both ends, the responsiveness could’ve been better. The project took so long because we would stop working on the website for a little bit. Then, 5th & Melody would have other projects going when we were ready to start up again.

Be clear with your direction such as where you want to go and what you want.

I initially hired 5th & Melody to build our company website, and they have since also designed several advertisements for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our existing website wasn’t much of a website at all—more of an informational landing page. I gave 5th & Melody an overview of what I envisioned, but I entirely relied on them for every aspect of design and development. They have constructed the website so that people can view all of our courses and register for them. Additionally, 5th & Melody also acts as a marketing team in that they have produced a few short videos that are educational and describe our services. Over time, 5th & Melody also added an e-commerce component to the site so that people can pay for our courses directly on the platform.

I only worked with a single point of contact.

How did you come to work with 5th & Melody?

I don’t remember how I found them initially, but I recall being impressed by their portfolio. I learned that they had experience working with other schools and educational institutions, so I thought that experience would be beneficial for us.

We’ve spent approximately $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together for the website build from December 2017­­–January 2018. It only took about a month to complete the website, and then we shifted our focus to maintenance and adding additional features, like the e-commerce element.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Compared to the website we had before, we’ve seen a marked increase in overall traffic to the site and the length of session visits.

How did 5th & Melody perform from a project management standpoint?

Everything has gone as smoothly as I had hoped. We communicate well through emails and the occasional phone call. They are incredibly responsive to our needs, and we’ve developed a great working relationship with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We don’t have the expertise to know what will make our website or overall web presence better. 5th & Melody came equipped with ideas for how to improve the present and set us up well for the future.

No, they’ve accomplished everything we’ve asked of them.

It’s best to be able to identify what you want to accomplish because then 5th & Melody can find related things you haven’t thought of. They will help you build around the ideas you already have.
