Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the president and founder of ShowHamptons LLC. We produce high-end luxury expos and fairs for home design and decor, jewelry, and art that often attract wealthy customers.


What challenge were you trying to address with 57INTEREST DESIGN LLC?

We needed support to help us build websites and manage digital marketing for the events we produce.


What was the scope of their involvement?

57INTEREST DESIGN LLC has provided development and digital marketing for multiple events over six or seven years. Each project normally runs for between six and ten months and sometimes they’ll work on multiple projects at the same time, which requires a lot of coordination. We’re currently working on an art fair together.

They work closely with us through the entire show production process from determining the concept to building the website, writing the copy, and designing the imagery to capture the flavor of the show. The build out the site backends to facilitate registration and payment by exhibitors. They manage marketing campaigns that include email blasts and online media to all relevant audiences both vendors and exhibitors and the public who will participate. They post on social media and run ads on Facebook and Instagram. For the current event, they’ve also created a thirty-second video to send to exhibitor prospects and the public.

How did you come to work with 57INTEREST DESIGN LLC?

We’re in the Hamptons and, when we started out, there weren’t many freelance software professionals that understood technology. I met the owner of 57INTEREST DESIGN LLC who was one of the few that did. We’ve done many events together over the years and keep working with them because they understand the landscape of selling booths to exhibitors and tickets to the public and the various marketing campaigns we need.

How much have you invested with them?

For the current engagement, we’ve spent between $10,000–30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working on the most recent project in October 2018 and it’s ongoing.


What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

57INTEREST DESIGN LLC helps us meet our goals. With them working with our sales team, we’ve been able to attain our revenue goals. We also hit our attendance goals almost every year and for every show. The marketing materials, the website, the email blasts, and the online promotions they run are useful and advantageous to our sales and marketing teams. It’s a team effort and their participation leads to our success.

How did 57INTEREST DESIGN LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via phone and email and have regular check-ins. We’ve worked together for such a long time. They're good at what they do. They work fast and at a good price.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We get a lot of value for the money invested. They understand the high-end luxury market that is our audience and hit the mark every time. They can tell the right story and create the various promotions and materials we need.

It’s also a pleasure working with someone you’ve known for years. We can basically finish each other’s sentences.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Working together remotely can be a little tricky. The owner did work onsite with us for a while but currently works offsite. When someone is onsite, it’s easier to get something done immediately rather than deal with a time gap when you have to reach out to them via phone or email and wait for them to respond.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be sure to thoroughly explain what the goals and mission are so that they fully understand and create a solution that works. Think it through and be specific with them about what they need to accomplish. It’s also helpful to narrow down to one or two things for them to accomplish and not too many.
