We don’t just build brands that look good. We build brands that work well.
3 Owl is a technology-centered branding agency serving those with bright visions and bold ambitions. We build data-driven creative solutions that adapt to clients changing needs and support transformational growth. We proudly call Atlanta home as our clients take us around the world.
Strategy
Successful brands start by pinpointing not just who you are as an organization, but why your business exists. This is why strategic thinking and planning is always the first step in our process. We research and establish the truths that make up the core of your business, hone in on the correct target audience, and determine the “why” before we create any “whats”.
Visual Identity
We’re here to help build an emotional connection between brands and consumers, and that means more than just a pretty logo. (Don’t worry, you’ll get one of those too). Our iterative process stays strategically sound and based in research so our time creating is spent efficiently and results in unique and scalable identities.
Language and Communication
Beautiful brands simply work better when language is held to the same high standards of creativity. We establish distinctive voices for our brands based on the same research from which we design to create an entire ecosystem which can be applied across all touchpoints.
Fully Custom Web Development
We build fully customized websites and digital experiences. Proper tech makes for better brands.
No project is “one size fits all”. We build a shared project understanding by assessing all existing technologies from content management system down to hosting configuration. Once we understand your technology systems, we’ll build a flexible content management system to ensure your site is flexible and scalable (and of course, easy for you to update).

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the co-founder of a thought leadership and brand growth consulting firm.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire 3 Owl, and what were your goals?
My prior thought leadership consulting agency had built a fruitful collaboration with a PR and media relations agency. Promoting ourselves as two brands, united, was becoming increasingly complicated, so we created a unified company and came to 3 Owl to brand us. We charge high rates to ambitious entrepreneurs for value that can sometimes be difficult to quantify. We needed a brand that would reinforce the value of what we deliver.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
We had collaborated with 3 Owl on previous projects, so we already knew they brought unique depth, creativity, authenticity and subtlety to the brands they develop, all driven by a sophisticated and data-backed understanding of what will best serve the business goals. We'd seen them do this for other clients in our collaborations, so, when we needed it for ourselves, they were the only logical choice.
Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.
The project started with a very unique discovery workshop that included a visualization exercise to put us into the right creative and visionary mindset. They guided us through several interactive and somewhat playful exercises to develop a deeper understanding of our individual and shared identity, vision, values, and goals.
Their initial report back after the workshop left us feeling very seen and understood... They gave us a deeper understanding of ourselves and what had brought us together in this collaboration. From there, they took us through several rounds of initial branding ideas, giving us a wide variety of options that almost all felt well aligned with our identity, then guiding us through focusing on the most authentic and effective choices for us.
In the end, they gave us a brand identity that not only felt true to us but that gave us a deeper understanding of ourselves. We have a detailed digital brand guide that now enables us to produce brand-consistent content on demand. And they gave us a website mock-up which we were able to hand off to our website developer to create a brand-consistent site for us.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Three people, led by creative director Brandon Malcolm. Kaitlyn Perkins (project director) kept the project moving along smoothly and on-schedule. And managing director David Feldman joined most meetings to ensure alignment with our business strategy.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are just now launching the new brand, so we don't yet have external validators to report. However, I can say that we already speak to new business prospects which a much clearer understanding of our brand identity and of the value we offer. We pitch with greater confidence, because we know we're worth it. We also have become closer as a team, because we see the shared values that brought us together and appreciate what each of us adds to the company.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Because of the pandemic, most communication was through video conference calls and emails, but they nevertheless created a warm, relaxed, friendly communication style. They were always on top of schedules and deadlines, but more importantly we always felt welcome, heard, and understood.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
This team has an exceptional ability to integrate innovative artistic vision with business analysis and strategy, aligning the two in perfect harmony. They created a brand for us that was not only beautiful and true, but an effective tool to power our business goals.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
None at all. It was such a rewarding experience working with this team. We enjoyed the process and love the outcome.

A mortgage firm hired 3 Owl for their web development and branding services. The team built a professional site and worked on all aspects of the company's branding, including its logo design and messaging.
Internal and external stakeholders loved the new site, which accurately reflected the company's vision. 3 Owl communicated well and managed tasks efficiently. Moreover, the team responded fast and displayed a high level of professionalism. Overall, they provided world-class customer service.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the owner of Mortgage Brothers, LLC. We provide residential mortgage loans in 3 states including our home state of Georgia.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire 3 Owl, and what were your goals?
My brother and I have run separate companies in the mortgage industry for the past 20 years. We recently decided to join forces and start Mortgage Brothers, LLC. 3 Owl handled all of our branding and website design for the new company. Our goals were to create a clean, clear brand that would represent both the services we provide and our commitment to service. David and his team helped with everything from photos, to web design and language.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I had known David Feldman from having worked with him on previous mortgages and also consulting a bit on renovation work at our common loft complex. I had used a different service provider in the past for web design on a previous company but David won me over with his commitment to excellence and cutting edge approach to design.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We started our process with some phone calls to establish the scope of our project, our company name etc. and then we met with David and the entire team on multiple occasions to flesh out the appropriate language and design for our site. 3 Owl took the time to really get to know us as people and as professionals to make sure that the site reflected our vision. We worked through branding, logo design, website layout, and also a photoshoot and some SEO. 3 Owl handled all aspects of our branding and website design from the ground up. They incorporated some fun exercises to help us clearly define our messaging.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with the owner (David Feldman) and a 3 person design team plus a photographer. Some of the team were more focused on language and writing our content and others handled the technical side of things.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We constantly receive praise for our website and we have received a significant amount of business from our site despite the fact that we haven't run any advertising campaigns. We work almost exclusively on a referral basis so the goal of the site and branding were to establish a professional web presence that our referral partners can share and our client base can use for applications and product information. It is also there as a resource where we can refer leads that are considering using our service. I feel that the site and our brand both establish a very high level of polish and professionalism.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The project manager was extremely efficient with communication. We always felt at ease with the work and our goals were clearly defined. Our questions were answered very quickly and the atmosphere at the office was outstanding. 3 Owl is a first-class operation. From the activities used in establishing our branding to working on our story and 5-year plan, we felt like the most important company on their calendar despite being among the smallest projects that they handle.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They gave us a super-sharp professional site which tells our story in an engaging way while also doing the job of explaining our products and process. 3 Owl treated us like an enterprise client and a family friend at the same time. It is truly unique to feel so well cared for and to be on the receiving end of the top-notch service they provide.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We were completely satisfied with the entire process.

3 Owl supports a clinical research network’s marketing and advertising efforts. After supporting the network’s rebrand, they developed a website to enroll patients. They now generate social media content.
By overseeing the content strategy, creation, and analysis, 3 Owl has saved the internal team time, allowing them to focus more on sales. The team has proven knowledge in the clinical research space, and they’ve furthered their understanding by learning about the client’s company.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
VitaLink Research is a clinical research network that enrolls patients in clinical trials. My role as the VP of client services is to find pharmaceutical companies that need to run clinical studies and get them to do the studies through us.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with 3 Owl?
Our business is heavily related to advertising. Not only do we have to advertise to potential clients to sell better, but we also have to target prospective patients to enroll in our clinical studies. We’re using 3 Owl to accomplish both of these tasks.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
I work closely with the 3 Owl team to execute our B2B and B2C marketing and advertising. They focus on every aspect of the process, working with us through each stage. In terms of the strategy, they take the basic ideas and goals that we give them and think of the best ways to move forward so that we can get the maximum viewership and enrollment. It’s an open conversation more so than using any initial documentation.
One huge project that they did was developing a rebranded patient-facing website where prospective patients could enroll in clinical trials. They kept the content as updated as possible so that patients could read about the types of studies that we had. The rebrand also included creating business cards, revitalizing our LinkedIn, and updating our B2C approach.
Once we solidified our rebrand, they moved into the B2B side of our business to create helpful content. They now produce LinkedIn posts for us to publish that help get our brand awareness in the industry up.
The team also creates and distributes daily content on social media sites, connecting with patients to bring them in for screenings. Then, they watch our B2C and B2B platforms to monitor our social media engagement. That’s all done behind the scenes, but they’ll still relay the data on how the engagement is going and where we’re seeing the most hits.
What is the team composition?
Once a week, I have a call with their account manager, and then we interact with their account manager and assistant as needed. Their CEO regularly engages with us as well.
How did you come to work with 3 Owl?
They were very experienced in the industry already and had done some work for us previously. When our new ownership took over, we reengaged them for our projects. As a result, they came up to speed very quickly and understood the clinical trial space well.
On top of that, we gave them some more challenging tasks that they rose to pretty quickly. We needed both B2B and B2C work, and we had to be more sensitive about certain topics, which made us a good fit for them.
How much have you invested with them?
So far, we’ve spent over $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working with them since April 2020.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It’s really been a no-brainer to go forward with them. I’ve never had any problems getting any content created. 3 Owl is quick, attentive, and responsive. Everything has just been off the charts as far as them staying on top of the B2B side of things.
How did 3 Owl perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re absolutely stellar — we’ve been nothing but pleased. 3 Owl’s account management team is in constant contact with me, keeping me updated on everything that goes on. We use Google Meet for our weekly meetings.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It’s the knowledge of our industry that stands out. They work in several industries but have a good understanding of how our company works and what our needs are because they’ve put in the time and are willing to learn. It’s a more collaborative process that’s not always particularly common with outside marketing teams.
Our CEO and I are busy on the sales side of our business, so we really need help creating our content. They’ve worked within our schedule to make sure that they’re getting the right information and assets from us so that they can develop our content on their own for our approval.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’ve had such a positive experience that I don’t have much feedback to give.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Just be open about what you need and have an open line of communication with them — that’s where they work best. Giving them more freedom has also certainly turned out well for us, as far as artistic vision, how often we should be posting, and how to get in front of clients. That has allowed us to focus more on our job while they focus on theirs.

The client submitted this review online.
BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the VP of Marketing for a Texas based restaurant group that has 19 locations across the state.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire 3 Owl, and what were your goals?
We were looking for a partner that could be a one stop shop delivering a wholistic digital strategy solution. We were desperate to capture the ToGo guest that emerged over Covid, drive them to a seamless web experience, and retain them as a loyal guest with targeted digital solutions.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
3Owl was referred to us as digital experts that had cracked the code in terms of a sales funnel for restaurants. They looked beyond the "vanity metrics" of likes, shares, & reach, and turned that traffic into simple trackable ROI solutions.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.
3Owl started by building a new website geared towards converting web traffic into trackable sales. The site skyrocketed online order conversion from 1% to 17% overnight. Guest data capture helped grow our eblub membership by 12%. The visual and functional website guest experience immediately impacted in-store traffic. Attribution ads drove guests from social media to online ordering and delivered a 100% trackable ROI for social ads.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked closely with: - David the Owner - Brandon the Creative Director - Kaitlyn the Account Manager
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We could not be happier with 3Owl's results. They took an archaic website and turned the platform into a revenue driver that integrated with our social strategy and spend.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
3Owl holds weekly calls, answers immediately when called, and even took a team trip from Atlanta to Texas to visit our restaurants.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The most impressive thing about 3 Owl is their ability to deliver long-term solutions with a small shop mentality.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No.

3 Owl redesigned a website for a restaurant group. They migrated it from a Drupal 6 platform to a WordPress platform, giving the site an enhanced feel and addressing security vulnerabilities.
Besides protecting the client from cyber attacks, the updates to the site increased its speed, highlighted key functionality, and drove an overall increase in customer interaction. 3 Owl boasted strong organizational skills that helped them meet all deadlines during the engagement.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was the digital marketing manager for Mellow Mushroom, which is a pizza restaurant chain that had about 180 locations at that time.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with 3 Owl?
They redesigned the website for us in 2017.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
At the time, Mellow Mushroom's website was on a Drupal 6 platform. The platform was dated and had security vulnerabilities, so it wasn’t exactly the ideal website we wanted. The main scope of their work was getting our site more up-to-date and with enhanced security features. We switched to a WordPress platform that was intended to display our value.
At the time 3 Owl was relatively new, and we were their biggest client at the time. We definitely saw them grow over time.
What is the team composition?
For this project, I worked with David (Founder & CEO) and their photographer. They were much smaller at the time.
How did you come to work with 3 Owl?
We heard about 3 Owl from one of our co-workers who knew them through her regional network. We looked at more traditional competitors that had built many websites and had a bigger portfolio.
They were young and hungry, which stood out. We're a unique brand, and they clearly wanted to approach the project in a more creative way than others. We also felt like we had more one-on-one time with them, which was compelling when we made our choice to hire them.
How much have you invested in them?
The project cost was about $100,000 for the website.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from February–August 2017 on this project. We did keep working with them afterward as well.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The biggest improvement I saw is the increased speed of the website. Because of the site speed, actions like e-club signups and welcome offer acceptances also increased. Signups went up significantly, with about a 40%–45% increase. Their work highlighted buttons such as click to call and click for directions. Those buttons were used much more after they completed the work as well.
Beyond those metrics, people were spending more time on the site. Customers were exploring more pages, looking into the brand story, and more.
How did 3 Owl perform from a project management standpoint?
David keeps track of everything so efficiently. At the time, we were using Trello to keep tabs on our deliverables. I never worked with their developers directly, but David's organizational skills and ability to keep us in the loop on Trello made sure we were always connected from their work.
On the project management side, they were perfect. They held to their deadlines and gave us good reminders. We communicated through a weekly checkup and a bi-weekly status on the main staging of the site.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their responsiveness is the most impressive. They were very responsive to any problems we faced and were quick to react. In a human sense, each of their teammates was fun-natured but serious when needed. They offered the perfect mix of making sure we enjoyed the project and taking their work seriously.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would help them to have dedicated project managers so David doesn't need to be at the center of everything. We now have an account manager, so he doesn't need to overwhelm himself with every detail. I'm at a different company now and 3 Owl are already working with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be as upfront as possible about what you want. It doesn’t have to be organized or complete, but it helps to provide examples of sites you like. That will help guide them in their designs. Let them make your ideas more functional based on your requests. I regret only sometimes giving examples.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the general manager of a three thousand-acre community with vacation homes, golf courses, a lake, marina, wellness center, spa, and more.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with 3 Owl?
We needed to rebrand and invest more in our online presence.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We started by developing a purpose statement with help from their team. That involved some pretty comprehensive, deep discussions. The end purpose statement was marketing-focused and lead to the production of a video that was meant to communicate our purpose statement to viewers.
Next, we moved into demographics work. That required us to define our audience and their goals when using our services. After we reevaluated who our new customers were, they put together a new brand to represent them. They delivered a new logo, name, copywriting, and an entirely new approach to our customers. Along with that, they applied the new branded assets to a new website. Now, we’re working on a media plan to access our target audience.
What is the team composition?
I worked with David (Director of Strategy), Brandon (Creative Director), and a project manager. There are more creative players working in the background as well.
How did you come to work with 3 Owl?
We found them through a marketing connection I’d done past work with. When we needed a branding agency, he recommended them. We hired them based on his referral.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $80,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from July 2019–January 2021.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They won a large, national award for the branding work they completed for our company. Our members also feel very positively about the award. We believe the new brand accurately captures the essence of who we are for the first time in our existence.
We’re also able to align their branding work with investments in the property, so it’s helped us guide where we spend our money. The initial reaction to our brand has been overwhelmingly positive.
How did 3 Owl perform from a project management standpoint?
They used Monday internally to manage the project, but we didn’t interact with the platform.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their ability to synthesize all of our offerings and activities into an effective purpose statement that encompasses who we are was so impressive. They were able to convert their thought and creative work into a tangible brand. It was a targeted process that was fun to be a part of.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I wouldn’t change anything. We held them up, if anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Listen to them because they know what they’re talking about. When they ask for feedback, share your genuine opinions. Our collaborative, open relationship helped us get to a good place with our brand.

A medical institution engaged with 3 Owl for their branding and website development services. Key tasks include generating a mobile-friendly website and boosting online presence through Google AdWords.
Upon launching, the site already obtained a huge contact boost, and users were also quick to observe and praise the efficient website. Several business goals were achieved, thanks to 3 Owl's transparency and willingness to bring forth a strong vision from the start.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the founder of Midlands Pulmonary. The practice is comprised of accomplished experts in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine.
We specialize in the care of asthma, bronchitis, shortness of breath, sleep medicine and diagnosis and management of lung cancer.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire 3 Owl?
We hired 3 Owl to build a new brand and website for Midlands Pulmonary. This project also included photography and copywriting
What were your goals for this project?
As a new medical practice, our goal was to look immediately credible and established. We needed to have a mobile friendly site that made it easy for patients to book appointments. Additionally, one of our goals was to move up in Google rankings.
SOLUTION
How did you select 3 Owl?
I had experience working with 3 Owl through another healthcare project I was a part of — their previous work was excellent and they were my first choice for this project.
Describe the project in detail.
Midlands Pulmonary needed a new logo, website, and language. 3 Owl conducted an in depth brand workshop with us to learn about our business.
The workshop itself really helped us get aligned for our next steps in the project — it was great for our team alignment. They provided clear steps every way of the project and were always in touch with us.
We knew when deliverables were coming and they were very receptive to feedback. My partners and I were thrilled with the result and feel like we have a best in class website and brand.
What was the team composition?
We worked closely with their Director of Strategy (David) as well as their Creative Directory and a dedicated account manager. I know a lot of other people worked on the project but those were the 3 I was in touch with.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
After the site launched, we saw a big increase in patient phone calls. 3 Owl provided a lot of analytics to use around site visits, form registrations and phone calls.
We were especially happy that they set up call tracking so we knew exactly how many calls came from the website. We have received a lot of compliments on the website and get asked who built it for us.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Their team used Monday.com to outline the whole project. This gave us transparency into everything they were working on. They were also always one email away and their response time was always lightning fast — we felt like their only client!
What did you find most impressive about this company?
3 Owl is a small team with big vision, great communication but most importantly, flawless execution. They really proved to me that you can go with a smaller team and get great work.
Are there any areas for improvement?
None that I can think of.

3 Owl revamped an outdoor media creators organization's website. The new design was made responsive, fitting to the brand and content of the company, and exceeding the standards set by the client's competitors.
The organization and 3 Owl communicated regularly. The team made sure to always be available to their client, which ultimately led to a high-quality project being completed on time. They were also able to internalize the organization's identity and goals as they integrated these into the design.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
At the time of this project I was the Marketing Manager of a parent company that manages multiple brands in the Outdoor Industry.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire 3 Owl, and what were your goals?
Our website was outdated and was not responsive. We always used custom code sites in the past, which made it very challenging to update. We would continuously use the help of individual developers, but that experience was challenging and costly.
By working with 3 Owl, not only did we get a fantastic new responsive website, but 3 Owl made every step of the way super easy and enjoyable experience.
SOLUTION
How did you select 3 Owl and what were the deciding factors?
We had created a request for proposal and submitted it to about 12 web design firms. We then narrow those down to three in-person interviews, and then we selected 3 Owl. We selected them due to the following factors: their body of work was excellent, intelligence level clearly off the charts, and fantastic communication.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had a kick off meeting and started right away. We had a list of needs, and they were all meet with exceeding results.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We only communicated with 1-2 people during the whole project.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After launching our site, our brand looked light years ahead of our competition.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
We mostly handled are communication through phone calls, zoom calls and emails. Never was there a time we could not get a hold of one of their team members.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
After getting to know our company, brand, and customers, it was like they had become an extension of our company.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I have nothing that I would have changed about the way this project turned out.
