I wanted the site to serves as online folio for potential customers. The UI needed to be simple and straightforward. I also wanted a manageable backend, which would allow me to upload and edit content.

They built a custom WordPress site from scratch, based on my Photoshop designs.

We started with a two-week discovery phase, during which their business analyst, project manager, and system architect took notes on our vision. They went on to create wireframes and diagrams for the web and mobile apps based on those notes.

3 Edge Tech accepts requirements in any shape or form and delivers exactly what we need. They have helped us with everything from concept and design to delivering the final product.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The team is currently working on the prototype that will be the primary platform for our company's business.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The arrangement was a fixed-price contract for the overall project. The initial timeline was planned for six months, but with an expanded scope and new idea discovery, the project has been extended. We are too early in the development stage to measure effectiveness.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The company delivers what they promise and they try their best to accommodate requirements. If the scope exceeds their capabilities, they mark some tasks for the next phase, but clearly understand the requirements.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

They can improve in the test phase. The developers are good and understand how they directly impact product workflow, but every product should be thoroughly tested before the customer receives it.

I’m the owner of a couple of online companies: YouDoTrips, which provides travel and entertainment services, and YouDoAds.

What challenge were you trying to address with 3 Edge Technologies?

They’ve helped me build the YouDo Trips website and maintain the YouDoAds one.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They used WordPress to create the YouDoTrips website, which involved a lot of hard coding with PHP. They didn’t provide any graphics. The objective was to implement a portal for users to register and pay a yearly fee to gain access to prices through our platform.

We purchased the YouDoAds website a couple of years ago after another company had customized it. 3 Edge didn’t develop that website, but they have helped maintain it. They’ve figured out the coding really quickly.

What is the team composition?

We mainly work with one person.

How did you come to work with 3 Edge Technologies?

I found them through a LinkedIn recommendation.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $5,000–$7,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since June 2016. They’re now providing maintenance while we wait for pending funds on a large project. We launched the first website in September or October of last year.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ll be able to tell if the user experience is good or bad once we launch our marketing efforts. We’ve only had staff try it out, but they’ve said everything works fine.

How did 3 Edge Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We’re dealing with a company that’s out of the country, which involves a huge time difference. However, their speed and accuracy, as well as their ability to understand projects, are all excellent. I’ve dealt with a lot of companies in India, but 3 Edge understands instructions and communicates so well that I forget their native language is different than mine. We communicate 100% through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very fair with pricing and have figured a lot of things out for me. I really can’t say enough about them because I’m so impressed. They’ve accomplished just about everything I’ve needed as far as site functionality is concerned. There was one instance where we thought that one particular task was impossible, but they managed to come back a few days later with a solution. That really surprised me. Their drive and ability to overcome challenges are amazing. Their communication is exemplary and it honestly feels like dealing with a company in the U.S.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m very happy with them. In fact, I’m scared that if I don’t have a project for them that I’ll lose them to another company. They’re that reliable and good.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s really important to know what you’re asking of them so they can move the project along as fast as possible. Explain the details and do your homework before requesting projects or tasks.
