Having worked with Aalap in the past the selection process was easy knowing we would have an enjoyable process with an outstanding final product.

We had a couple detailed meetings to begin in the beginning to determine the scope and feel wanted for the website. After that, we received the preliminary site map and design which were tweaked and put into development. Prior to launch our team was able to beta test the site internally to provide feedback which was quickly resolved with the launch happening on schedule on a very tight turnaround (less than 6 weeks!).

We had a project manager Adithi and Aalap, the owner, was on almost every call. They were able to communicate with the back end team our needs but brought them in as needed to better understand any questions and/or issues to resolve them swiftly and timely.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The outcomes are immeasurable. From where we started the time our end user spends on the site has increased by 300%. Our bounce rate is down and the overall feedback from our clients is extremely positive. It really was a night and day difference we could not be happier!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow improved throughout the process with the introduction of Monday.com to track outstanding issues and resolutions. 108 is extremely proactive when it comes to technology for time management and workflow using Dropbox, weekly check-in calls that are recorded and saved and google docs.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The bespoke service they offer sets them apart. 108 really looked at the needs of our company and was willing to ask the questions to best understand what we needed and what we didn't know we needed! I know from working with other company's the stress that can come with building a new website and that certain was not the case with 108. Aalap has a very calming demeanor that kept us at ease even within a tight project schedule.

The only area that needed some improvement was the tracking of changes needed for the site which was resolved within the process using Monday.com. Otherwise it was extremely successful!

We're looking for an agency to help us navigate the world of Amazon, E-commerce, and direct to consumer. We need expertise help to leverage the platform and grow our online channels and convert our social media customers into sales.

Our goal was to increase online sales, grow engagement with our social media users, and create a 360 approach to online marketing to help our retail partners.

We were referred to 1o8 after looking at several vendors (both one-stop and single service line focused) and found their approach to our business unique and personable.

1o8 handles our Amazon, Shopify, Website, and Social Media Channels. They manage our ad accounts across platforms, write content, post on social platforms, and manage our communities.

The team is led by the founder (Aalap) and his team of paid, social, and web experts.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We've seen a 4x return on our ad spend and more importantly, significant growth in our online sales through Amazon and direct to consumer on our website. Our engagement is up in the triple digits across Instagram and Facebook with the content plan and writing.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow is great, the team is accessible via both email, call, and text along with our semi-monthly meetings.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The expertise on the team and the founder personally previously owning a business on Amazon so he's familiar with the challenges and opportunities. The team's overall experience in creating engaging online communities and content production is impressive. We also appreciate the nimbleness and ability to adjust to take advantages of key opportunities (i.e trade shows, etc.)

Are there any areas for improvement?

The results are great and we'd like to get a monthly or quarterly deep dive into how those results are coming about. The team is great about a/b testing and constantly working on our accounts for higher growth (both revenue and ROAS).

I'm the founder & CEO of a baby toy company. We're in over 300+ specialty toy stores, sell on select e-commerce sites, Amazon and our own website.

We hired them to held up increase conversion rates on Facebook ad efforts. We were getting high click though rates but not enough people were buying. We have really positive ratings and testimonials so we needed to figure out how to bridge the gap from clicks to purchase.

How did you select this vendor?

they were referred to us from a trusted board member. We've worked with a few different digital agencies over time and none have been particularly effective. The founder has direct experience in our category and demonstrated that he understood our challenges. They did a thorough audit during the biz dev process and came to the table with strategic recommendations before we even got started. They're uniquely customer-centric so saying "yes" was easy.

Paid social strategy on Facebook Ad creation Media planning and buying execution of ad campaigns tracking and reporting They were already ahead of the game when we got started due to the thoroughness of their audit. We used that as a jumping off point to prioritize where to go first. We provided them with creative and they developed a series of ads based on a strategic sales funnel. We worked together on copy and then they took over executing campaigns.

What was the team composition?

Aalap (founder) offers high level insight and strategic thinking, Evan (project lead) manages the day to day activities on our account. We have one project lead internally who has and SEO and data background. He works closely with Evan to process learnings determine the path forward.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since we started working with Io8, we've seen our conversion rates increase from .03% to a monthly average of 1 - 2% and have had days where we've seen an 8% conversion rate! We're getting a lot smarter about targeting and are starting to see patterns that suggest a sustainable trend in the right direction.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We're a small and nimble team and they've met us where we need to be in terms of workflow and communication. They've made a concerted effort to ask how to make the workflow more efficient and we feel confident that they're open to any suggestions should we have any. So far so good.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They dove right in and got to work really quickly. They're hands on and pay attention to the details. They have a mastery of the digital marketing process and are clearly committed to helping us win.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They suggested a monthly strategy call where we work together to push our thinking. We love the idea but haven't seen it implemented yet. We'd love to see follow through on this, but we may be equally responsible for not pushing to get it on the calendar.

I'm the co-founder of Enclave Audio. We're a manufacturer and marketer of wireless home theater surround sound solutions using the latest multi-channel wireless technologies. Started in 2016, we launched the CineHome 5.1 as a simple plug and play solution to the thorny problem of complex traditional home theater setups. This fall, Enclave is launching two new products Cine Home II and CineHome Pro to bring our ease of setup to a wider range of audiences while maintaining true surround sound found in traditional wired solutions.
