We have been working with 180Marketing since early 2020.  They were hired to help us improve our SEO and white-hat link building.  Initially they did a complete evaluation of our website, preimarily focusing on technical issues since we have been online since 1999 and have managed our own SEO internally.  Then, on an on-going basis, they were retained to help drive quality content and links to the website.

We are a small company.  In the past, we tried a few SEO companies that were highly rated. However, because of our size, they would assign a junior person to our account. By junior, very often it was the person's first or second assignment, so they would start with the same basic script (page titles, meta descriptions, etc.).  Our in-house staff was far more knoledgable so it was simply a waste of money.  

Besides the referrel, we were attracted to 180 Marketing since it too is a small company and their owner led all of the initial reviews, analysis and discussions.

While I continue to use and trust them, they have not provided any real substanative recommendations in quite a while.  What they are doing is fine and helpful, but I would like to see a bit more creativity.

Within three months of beginning to work with 180SEO we started to see progress and within a year the progress was signifcant. In real numbers this was moving us from pages 2 and 3 to page one for the keywords we needed to be ranking for. My first encounter with 180 Marketing was hearing Jeff Oxford speak at Seller's Summit in 2022. He shared examples of their work that were incredibly impressive. One of their clients shared a success story with me that led me to contact them directly about my needs.
Once engaged with 180 Marketing, I met with Andy, and subsequently with Adolfo who managed our account. All three of them were highly professional and a delight to work with. I have little technical knowledge myself, and they were always able to explain things to me in a way I understood. The culture at this company is great too. They all worked really well together and stayed on top of their industry knowledge, which was forever changing.

We knew we needed to create a new website that converted more leads for the traffic that did hit the site, and that we needed to improve our overall standing on Google. We hired 180 Marketing to help optimize the content on the new site so that the first Google crawl post launch impressed them. 

During the build phase of the site 180 Marketing worked on backlinking and pushing out content to increase our domain rating, which more than doubled before even launching the new site. Once the new site was live, we had assistance in optimizing the back end of the site.

I am the marketing consultant in charge of SEO strategy in a fast growing e-commerce company specialized in Japanese products.

After working with a design agency for our new website, we noticed a big drop in our organic traffic due to some technical issues and new site map. We were looking for a trusted partner (already worked with 180 Marketing a few years back) that could help us to develop a brand new strategy and fix all technical issues.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We interviewed a couple of SEO agencies and felt like 180 Marketing had the best offer. Adding the previous proved experience we had working with them a few years back.

The agency started with a clear 6 months schedule so we could have the visibility on what was going to happen. They mapped a complete technical issues diagnostic and solution for our devs to work on it and we then moved to the content creation strategy. Over 130 articles and topical authority pages for the website. We finally moved to the last stage of link building with a deep strategy to gain authority.

We worked closely with Zoe, our project manager on a biweekly meeting and emails in between, as well as occasional follow up with Andy, the SEO Director.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

I can't disclose exact numbers but we are pretty happy with the deliverables, clear visibility on metrics and next steps all the way through the 6 months. General and niche rankings have improved, as well as organic traffic and domain ranking.

Deadlines have been met all the way through. Communication mostly happened through biweekly Zoom calls and emails as needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Big props to Zoe, our project manager, that worked around the clock to meet deadlines and deal with our timezones challenges (company is in between Japan and LA, but I'm currently in Europe). She even helped with side questions we had for our other ecommerce website.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We just had one issue at first with a website implementation that was a bit fast without double checking. Leading to 404 error on a main page. But it was fixed within an hour and did not create any big harm on our end. Overall, there was no major issue.
