How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
135 Madison was highly recommended and we made the final decision after out first meeting. It was evident that they have a skilled staff and knowledgeable in the area we need them for.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a startup.
What challenge were you trying to address with 135 Madison?
135 Madison helped me put together a pitch deck.
What was the scope of their involvement?
135 Madison’s main deliverable was a pitch deck with a market-sensitive look, feel, and content structure that made sense for our business. To jumpstart the project, I provided them with all of our existing presentations, textual information about our business, and relevant facts, figures, and graphs. Their team organized those things by putting the content in appropriate tables. Then, they put everything in the appropriate order and sections to produce the final deck.
What is the team composition?
I mainly worked with Peter (Managing Partner). Then, 2–3 other people worked on the project.
How did you come to work with 135 Madison?
135 Madison was referred to me by somebody else, and I saw their sample pitch decks. I also saw the deck they created for a friend of mine, and that was why I hired them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $4,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from August–October 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
135 Madison did a good job of understanding what our business was trying to achieve. The presentation was only a fraction of the things I gave them, but that was the right percentage of what we wanted to use to introduce our business through the pitch deck. Overall, 135 Madison did that in a well-structured way. More importantly, people thought the pitch deck was good.
How did 135 Madison perform from a project management standpoint?
We did a lot of back and forth collaboration through PowerPoint presentations. I was pretty old school, and I didn’t use Google. However, they adapted to my needs, and we finished the project. Other modes of our communication included texts and phone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Unlike with other people, I didn’t have to do an awful lot of training for our business. It was unnecessary with 135 Madison. I wouldn’t know if it was because the materials I provided were sufficient or if they were that fabulous, but they grasped our business quickly. They immediately knew what things were and weren’t needed for the deck.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there weren’t any. Everything worked out well. I wasn’t under a lot of time pressure, which made things easier — had I been under pressure, the whole experience might have been different.
