A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CMO at LogRhythm. We earn about $200 million per year in revenue and have over 500 employees. We’re in the cybersecurity space.
What challenge were you trying to address with 10Fold?
Our previous PR agency didn’t perform as we expected, so we had to look for a new one.
What was the scope of their involvement?
As our main PR firm, 10Fold helps us write press releases and get media coverage through media pitches. Beyond that, their resources help us with side projects, such as creating thought leadership reports. They also help us submit for awards and speaking engagements.
Moreover, we leverage their Metrics Matter program, which focuses on KPIs. They have a defined set of KPIs, such as the number of press releases and coverage we get. Their members ensure we meet these metrics as they work with us.
What is the team composition?
They’ve assigned a dedicated team of 4–5 members. We interact with them regularly. The members include a senior director and account manager working closely with us. Other resources include media pitch experts, awards submission specialists, content experts, and press release writers. Susan (CEO) has been involved, too; she joins our calls from time to time.
How did you come to work with 10Fold?
We went through a process of vetting PR agencies, and 10Fold specialized in cybersecurity and had a great track record. As a result, we chose them.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our relationship with 10Fold started in October 2019, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our overall media coverage, spot leadership rate, and Google Analytics traffic have tripled in growth since we started using 10Fold.
How did 10Fold perform from a project management standpoint?
We’ve invited 10Fold into our Wrike instance for project management. They provide updates for us via this project management solution.
What did you find most impressive about them?
10Fold truly understands our market, and they listen well to us as their client. They know our goals and the coverage type that we want. Moreover, their Metrics Matter program is impressive. They’re the only PR firm I’ve encountered with such a program.
They put their money where their mouth is; they promise to accomplish things for us, and if they don’t, they give us credit for future services we might need. This truly makes them stand out from other PR firms.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’d put a bit more emphasis on business coverage. We have a lot of great industry trade coverage, but we’d like more business coverage on platforms like The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg. To be fair, this is something that all companies want.
