YYC3 was hired by Giono Studio to create a visual portfolio for clients and industry, to create a voice or look into what Giono offers and what their culture is and to help us scale our business through advertising and putting forth visual content that represents and aligns with our Interior Design. Recently Divine Flooring partnered with various Interior Designers to do renderings to showcase their work WHILE advertising their floors. 
For myself, this was a great example of how visual content can be created beautifully to reflect the design firm. In a nut shell this was our goal - to have YYC3 take flat lays, designs, renderings, partnerships and translate them to the broader community and public.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Feedback for me is number one, from clients but equally from the industry (other designers, creators, artists, builders, architects, etc.). I have always been a big listener to feedback. If someone told me posts were confusing or the branding was too busy or they thought my messages were confusing, I'd listen and report back. 
If people loved posts and said "oh i loved that Xmas gift guide you did, or those renderings were strong and looked great" then I'd also report back. 

The second biggest measure was brining in clients. Still not sure we are bringing in anyone through this. My plan is to spend more time on this in 2026 and see if we can optimize this. 

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The communication is good and the tools are now easy to understand and follow. However, I do think sometimes YYC3 provides too much information. The most important thing is for decisions and communication and reading to be streamlined and simple for busy clients. I also found YYC3  communicates by email and messages first even if its long messages. A few times Megan has phoned and in 2 minutes we've sorted what hours of emails does. 
I very much appreciate this. I somtimes get about 50-100 emails/day that I need to respond too so its hard to get to a YYC3 email in a timely fashion. I think less is more. Don't share all your files and links and drops. Give clients a few place for information, simplify and it will be more efficient for both parties.

Monthly meetings are helpful but its almost impossible to communicate content and direction in this time. We barley cover the basics. I think biweekly meetings OR once a month general meeting and then a biweekly communication email on content might be help. Separate the goal of these meetings into two parts (one call, one email). Otherwise the content at approval time is fresh to me every month and then there is lots of back and forth. May not be possible but would be nice. 

Approvals for posts. I think we shold have these a minmum of two weeks before the next month. I often feel rushed at the end. Would make this less stressful for YYC3 too. 

That being said - the content is always delivered on time. Only twice ( i think) we've bumped a post. I do feel that they've been flexible to how they deliver and how to meet clients needs/requests. I do appreciate that its been a growing relationship but I always appreciate the professionalism and openness from your team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I've had the priveldge of working with Hayley and Megan the most. I am a 'work with your family' type of person and I've very much appreciated the personal connection, the ability to have touch points with them, the way they are flexible and take time to understand me and the team. It hasn't always been easy, but in an effort to keep things on track and do better, we all seem to respect each other and the work. 
I trust YYC3 fully and consider them part of my Giono Team family now. They have helped immensely, and I hope they know how much I appreciate them. I also thank them for being patient with me. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something YYC3 Marketing could have done differently?

I think I've mentioned it already. The less is more. The earlier is better than tight timeframes. A phone call goes a long way. 

Recently we've pivoted to visual first and message second. This was a call Hayley did and I appreciate it. I think we are doing better. I can see the challenge of a visual team doing visual work for a visual company. It gets tricky when we dont see things the same. However, we keep aiming to do better. There have been some posts and communications in the last couple of months that have been our strongest. Thank-you for taking the time to pivot and align.

We needed someone to help us align our website with our brand, as well as take over our social media and marketing tasks. We wanted to achieve an increase in sales and have our products successful in our retail locations (and get more retail locations on board!).

We searched online for marketing companies and narrowed it down to a couple. We interviewed with a few companies and chose the one that we synced with the best.

We spent a long time discussing what our goals are for the company, and what vision we had going forward. We discussed what our problem areas were and came up with a resolution. We prioritized and made timelines for completion that we both approved. YYC3 updated our website to make it more user friendly, as well as highlighted the more important aspects.

They then tackled the social media monsters we were dealing with, and had that all set up for us. They also spent time with us filming some social media content. Ongoing they make recommendations for us for ambassador programs, and take care of our social media accounts in terms of content, and initiate contact with new potential clients.

Since starting with YYC3 we have onboarded 2 more retail locations. We have higher engagement on our social media accounts, as well as increased sales through our website.

YYC3 team has been extremely available, quick response times, and flexible for meeting arrangements. They have been very accommodating to make our transactions easy to manage.

We are so excited to watch it grow in the same way!

We chat almost daily and have calls whenever needed. YYC3 is quick to respond always and we never have delays in communication.

The most impressive thing about this company is their customer service. I think they are so kind and easy to work with. They manage everything so well, and I never have to worry about anything! Also, they do incredible work for a great price.

I was actually surprised with how much effort YYC3 Marketing took to truly understand our company. The thing is, a lot of my work is regulatory, so it’s very hard to market and there’s not a lot of people that are aware of our services. YYC3 Marketing does a great job of truly showcasing our company and offerings in a way that aligns with our identity.

In terms of quantitative metrics, we’ve seen a significant increase in our sales, site traffic, and the number of calls we receive. I’m really pleased with the results I’ve gotten so far, considering how little I paid for their services.

YYC3 Marketing has performed well in terms of project management. We primarily communicate through texts, phone calls, and email.

I’m impressed with the fact that I don’t even have to worry about digital marketing anymore. I also really like their attitude and strong work ethic. YYC3 Marketing is a small firm, so they’re very personal in their approach. We’re not just another contract for them — they really make an effort to engage with us and show that they truly care about us, which is something that’s hard to find these days.

I am one of the owners of Mountain View Building Materials, located in Calgary Alberta. We are a family owned and operated boutique contractor and retail exterior building materials supplier.

We reached a point where we needed to transition our business from the successful “mom and pop” shop it was to a bigger operation. We needed to hire more people to help us reach our goals, and to do so, that meant narrowing our job descriptions to focus on what WE were best at, and hiring out the things we weren’t.

We hired YYC3 to overhaul our website, and digital marketing. We knew who we were as a business, and YYC3 saw and understood our goals, together we worked together to develop our unique marketing content and website.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We interviewed a number of companies, but it was YYC3’s honesty, enthusiasm, and quite frankly lack of knowledge of our industry that lead us to hiring them. They were the type of client we were trying to access, so it really helped with developing our marketing strategies that they were learning about our industry at the same time.

They asked questions frequently that we just assumed people knew the answers to. So our posts were very topical, and well received. It was a perfect match, we knew little about what they could do for us, and they knew little about our industry. We trusted each other and jumped in with both feet!

We have them full creative authority over web design digital marketing, with one caveat, everything had to be consistent. Consistent branding, messaging, and frequency (but they knew that already). There was ample back and forth but we trusted their suggestions and they supported our feedback and requests. Work was done timely and organized, and the posts are great!

We worked with a number of the YYC3 team, as well some of their contractors.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our contractor and retail traffic has increased significantly, same with our phone in traffic. We can always tell when a post hits the mark by the amount of requests we get for the specific products we talk about and share.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Excellent communication on their behalf! Always. If anything slowed progress it was on me not replying and providing feedback in a timely manner.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The amount of work their small team can produce. They always put in the work for us, which is something I value deeply.

Align their web design talents with a web developer to ensure their beautiful website ideas work well with google and other search engines.

I would advise them to communicate openly and let the team know what they hope to achieve. I would also recommend being open to good ideas because Hayley and her team always give me good strategies on how to approach certain social media pages, which I highly appreciate.
