I'm the owner of a company that has a glamping site and group-hire venue in the Welsh valleys. Our site is a 24-acre forest venue that users can rent privately. I've owned the site for around 10 years and have been in business for 7–8 years.

What challenge were you trying to address with YouYaa?

We weren't getting enough bookings and wanted to change our target audience to pursue more corporate and group bookings that could create a higher profit margin for us. We also wanted to chase private individual glamping and holiday bookings and broaden our exposure to the market overall. We approached YouYaa to redevelop our website and advise us on photography and marketing ads.

What was the scope of their involvement?

In the beginning, we had several meetings with Zeeshan (Senior Marketing Consultant) to discuss our needs. We showed him our website and the business plan we had written about how we wanted to proceed to get more clients, exposure, and revenue. 

YouYaa has created different audience profiles to target potential customers and various blog posts on our website that are aimed at different types of customers. The team plans to use this content to target the desired audience through Google Ads, Facebook, and Instagram campaigns. The website development continues, and YouYaa has started running marketing campaigns this week.

We've spent £20,000 (approximately $26,000 USD) on the site and another £2,000 (approximately $2,600 USD) monthly in advertising. We also have a six-month contract for £16,000 (approximately $21,000) with Zeeshan as a private consultant.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with YouYaa in March 2024, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Although I don't have results to share at the moment, I like how YouYaa has approached our issue and targeted our desired market. The website is brilliant, and I'm satisfied with YouYaa's work.

How did YouYaa perform from a project management standpoint?

YouYaa delivered the site a month late because they ran into backend issues they hadn't anticipated. However, the team has taken responsibility, and when the cost ran over, Zeeshan paid the remainder out of his pocket. I really appreciate this because we're a small company and can't pay more than our agreed-upon budget. YouYaa's integrity is great.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

All three teammates I've worked with have their strengths and are lovely. Cassandra manages the website project, and Zeeshan oversees the process.

I suggest being as transparent as possible about your business situation and needs when engaging with YouYaa. Have an open mind and heart and ask for help; I believe that is the best way to strike up your work relationship with YouYaa. Zeeshan is empathetic and understands help requests.

We wanted to get more people on board and expand to other regions. We engaged YouYaa to offer us marketing advice to improve our PR efforts and expand into different markets.

YouYaa has provided us with marketing and PR consulting services. They’ve worked directly with our marketing team to create strategies to maintain and expand our business. The team has outlined various options for us, and we’ve met with them for strategy calls to discuss them further. Furthermore, they’ve documented the strategies we’ve chosen to move forward with. 

For example, they’ve been helping us develop an end-of-year strategy because business has been slowing down. People have been spending their money purchasing holiday gifts rather than trading and investing in cryptocurrency. The YouYaa team has helped us address this by developing a PR content strategy. They’ve advised us to run advertisements at the beginning of next year when people are more motivated to invest.

YouYaa has helped us target potential users more effectively, which has contributed to a decrease in our marketing costs. They’ve pointed our marketing and advertising efforts in the right direction. Furthermore, before working with YouYaa, we didn’t have any PR strategies to gain more users, and now we do. 

How did YouYaa perform from a project management standpoint?

YouYaa has met deadlines and remained in constant communication with us. In the beginning, the team worked more slowly; they asked many questions to ensure they delivered on our asks. However, they’ve since increased their pace and have been working efficiently. We’ve met twice weekly for strategy calls via Google Meet, and they’ve been very responsive and available. We’ve mostly communicated via email and our WhatsApp group.

What did you find most impressive about them?

YouYaa has dedicated a team of knowledgeable professionals to our project, and I’ve been impressed with their experience. They’ve put their soul into the project, and I’ve really appreciated their approach. It’s clear that they haven’t focused on servicing as many clients as possible. We wanted to increase our customer base through marketing and needed help getting our message out to a broader audience.

What was the scope of their involvement?

YouYaa evaluated our marketing, messaging, and branding to determine whether it effectively spoke to customers. We discussed our brand values, ethics, and convictions, and YouYaa advised us on how to best promote ourselves to reach our target audience. They ensured that our social media presence reflected our brand’s views and that we met regulator requirements. 

YouYaa created visuals and ad copy for social media and developed our content calendar strategy. They posted assets 3–4 times per week based on our different campaigns. They also helped us improve our social media presence by responding to users across multiple platforms and developing a consistent voice for our brand. 

They predominantly focused on Facebook and Instagram marketing to build brand awareness. They also responded to customers via social media and educated them regarding our business and how they can benefit from our services.

The partnership has had a really positive impact on our business. They were very well-versed in marketing techniques and helped us drive brand awareness. We measured success by the number of engaged customers, which YouYaa increased across our social media platforms. We monitored customer responses and likes, which grew, leading to more consistent traffic to our website.

How did YouYaa perform from a project management standpoint?

Early on, we found that our visions were aligned, and YouYaa understood our brand culture and what we were trying to achieve. They met all our deadlines and budget and were open and honest communicators. They were also willing to change strategies when something didn’t work well. We met in person and communicated via email and phone. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed with how quickly they came to understand our brand culture and the type of customers we were looking to attract. YouYaa aligned with us almost immediately, which was great. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Social media is always moving forward, so it would be great if YouYaa could continue to keep abreast of the market and stay ahead of changing content and structure trends, that would be great.

I advise entering the project with YouYaa with a clear understanding of your goal. Then, work backward to determine which platforms and content could be beneficial to meet your cohort requirements. Approve content and extend feedback quickly so YouYaa can deploy the content promptly. Also, make sure you communicate your budget clearly so that YouYaa can adjust marketing efforts accordingly.

I’m the managing director for Reform Financial, a financial broking company. We help other businesses secure their funding and have many lenders.

What challenge were you trying to address with YouYaa?

We wanted to outsource our marketing. We can market in-house, but we’ve been busy. With COVID-19, I lost the previous business, so the last couple of years have been pretty full-on.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

YouYaa currently does our PPC and monitors and optimizes the accounts. We started running ads about a month ago; the idea is to roll out on Bing first, which has done well so far. The next move will be Google, and then we’ll start doing all of our SEO and move into social media, which will do more for brand awareness and recognition.

We initially did some Facebook Ads, but it was a lost cause due to the financial sector in our market, so we’ll now focus on PPC. At the moment, we’ve given YouYaa top-level information about the products we provide and the lenders that we have. They build out campaigns, check in with us throughout, and get our input, which is excellent. In summary, they roll the campaigns out for us, and we get constant reporting.

I don’t know if it’s regular practice, but having just one point of contact is vital. YouYaa has a team that does Facebook, Google, and Bing, but I only deal with Zeeshan (Performance Marketing Specialist) personally.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve previously marketed plenty of times, both in-house and with third parties, and we’ve really noticed a difference with YouYaa. They’ve quickly turned the metrics around and made them positive. It’s pretty noticeable, and we hadn’t done it that quickly before.

On the other hand, we’ve spent about £800 (approximately $1,000 USD) in a month on ads, and the return has been about £60,000 (approximately $82,000 USD). It’s a decent return, so they’re doing a great job.

Also, one of the things that was beneficial about them was that Zeeshan did a noticeable amount of extra work before we pulled the trigger to work with them. We really appreciated that, and he’s been accommodating and sincere throughout the project. All in all, he’s been great and responsive, which is also important.

How did YouYaa perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a weekly meeting where we go through cost per acquisition, cost per click, and all of the granular metrics that marketers use. However, the metrics that are important to us are how quick and responsive they are. In that sense, they usually respond to a WhatsApp message within minutes. Also, anytime we’ve asked him a question, Zeeshan has been very detailed at getting back and understanding of what we’re looking for. To his credit, he understands that we aren’t up to speed with that area and always explains stuff in a way that we understand.

We usually communicate through Google Meet and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve known Zeeshan for a while now, and he has always done exactly what he says he’ll do. In fact, he has done more than that — it’s just really noticeable.

Another reason we’re so happy with YouYaa is that they’ve worked for free. When we started running the Facebook Ads, we mentioned that we wouldn’t do anything for a couple of months while we waited for the investment. He said that if we put the ad spend in, he would do it, which was cool. Also, it allowed us to get some brand awareness going and a few metrics and data in the background.

Moreover, I’m insanely busy at the moment, so it speaks volumes that I’m able to review them just because they’ve done such a good job. They understand our vision and run with us. They’re also very personable, and we don’t have to nag them, which is fantastic.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Honestly, there isn’t anything. Time will tell with that kind of thing, but they’ve done everything they said they would so far. Additionally, they worked for free initially, which not many people do.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just pick up the phone and see if you get along with them. If you read any reviews about them, everyone says that same thing, particularly about Zeeshan. He’s a great guy and works really hard — what else could you want?

What was the scope of their involvement?

YouYaa presents to my clients as part of my firm, and their scope varies from client to client. They’re in charge of everything marketing-wise, from talking to my clients about go-to-market strategies around PPC and organic SEO to actual content creation, depending on the clients’ needs. YouYaa also creates and manages Facebook and Google ads, and we use the analytics platforms to track their performance.

I mainly communicate with Zeeshan (CEO & Performance Marketing Specialist), and he manages all his team internally.

YouYaa’s project management is wonderful, and they’re a wonderful partner. Zeeshan is very communicative, and he always meets the deadline. Whether we’re speaking with each other or directly with a client, they’re very reliable and on point.

Clear communication is YouYaa’s forte, and they’re always thinking about what we need to do next. Additionally, they always have the willingness to jump on a call and answer questions at any time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

YouYaa goes above and beyond for their customers; they offer a true partnership. They’re very proactive, and they always give their best. For example, they come back to me with suggestions and advice beyond what I asked for.

They also understand very well what’s involved in long-term growth and relationship building. As we work with more clients, we’re more and more on the same page, as if we were part of the same company. We definitely have a strong partnership.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any suggestions for YouYaa’s improvement but rather an area of opportunity that they could work on. Marketing and product UX are two different realms, but in reality, they end up going together. It would be good if YouYaa had a better understanding of product UX so that their efforts and my efforts could be more cohesive.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Treat them as if they were part of your internal team. They’re great at doing due diligence and reaching out to you for constant check-ins, but switching your mentality about them being a service provider to them being part of your team will work really well for you and help the relationship be more seamless.

I have a lot of work from partner organizations and through that, I’m building my own pipeline — so I was looking for someone to help me with lead generation.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The main idea for our partnership is concentrated on LinkedIn outreach, so YouYaa helped set up the whole process — we built automated connection requests with targeted segments in different countries and different LinkedIn profiles to generate conversations. We’ve also been doing a number of different campaigns and at some point, we’ve generated up to 3–4 conversations a week.

Recently, we’ve been working on a new segment starting in the UK and once that’s done, we’ll move on to the US.

I’ve only been working with Zeeshan (Performance Marketing Specialist), but I know the work that’s being done is a group effort.

The deadlines we set are always met and they work hard in getting the results that we expect. They’re also very available so we would be in contact regularly to see what’s being done and the results we get.

I appreciate their expertise and we like that they’re very empathic and never pushy. The only times when we would lag behind is when I would miss something on my end.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’re based in Switzerland and some of the work I do is in French. However, I can’t really complain that they don’t have the same skills in French as they do in English, so I don’t have anything to put here.

When working with startups, there’s no magical solution and it’s all about perseverance. You have to go into the partnership knowing you’re building a process and expertise, so you’re not just pushing a button and expecting to get instant results.
