After the opening call, we had a kick-off meeting to discuss the scope, functionalities, and next steps in detail. We were asked to fill out two questionnaires (for content creation and finding the design direction) and to deliver all media and content (+ filter values) we want to publish.

The agency returned with a front-page design – we discussed the fonts, colors, and layout. After implementing the feedback, the developers delivered the entire site in WordPress. We suggested a few changes in the features and UI. Xcratch had the finished website and migrated it to our web hosting.

I was satisfied with their work. Compared to what we had, Xcratch gave us quite a refreshing and good looking website. We get a lot of good feedback from customers. They say it’s nice, simple, and looks good. It’s very user friendly.

We received positive feedback for the website’s design. Xcratch development work was excellent, and their code was clean. Xcratch developed our site as instructed — we wanted our code to be independent and modular. Xcratch work was high-quality compared to other companies I’ve worked with. Their QA was good too since we haven’t had major issues or bugs with the website.

Our Website has been live since January 2022. We’re growing at 30% month-over-month. At this point, we have almost 7000 new users, and around 50% are monthly active users. We’ve been successful, but we’re still working our way up by tinkering, listening to customer feedback, and iterating.

Xcratch has done an excellent job; they’ve been extremely flexible to scale the team up and down. Moreover, it was particularly impressive that they were quick to incorporate changes. We changed the specification even before we got to the consumer feedback stage. 

While we were trying out the product, we realized some things we hadn’t seen before, and Xcratch implemented that revised workflow. Overall, we’ve spent a bit more money than we initially envisioned, but we’ve been satisfied with Xcratch ’s budget and timing.

We frequently met during the project's design phase to discuss the app goals and objectives, we workshopped ideas and issues, then we began the research phase of the project, and we came up with an experience flow for an app user. Once that was complete we got design samples and very accurate Hi-Fi designs. 

Once the design was settled it was time for development to take over, we had a version of the app nearly weeks after. The Xcratch team was very reliable and we were well informed of what goes on behind the scenes.

The app upon completion was gorgeous and efficient. It works exactly as intended. Everyone who has experience with it has been very pleased by the results.

They provide us details on matters we’re uncertain about, and they make sure that we get what we really need as opposed to getting what we think we need. The most impressive quality of Xcratch is its team. During design, we worked with Kevin who was exceptional, he really heard our ideas and implemented them well. Our PM Veronica was terrific, she was diligent and effective. She described each development step in detail, we learned a lot from her. They were always available to answer any questions we had.

I was amazed by how quickly Xcratch sent their design proposals. Xcratch’s work quality was excellent, and the website’s design looked fantastic — it matched our brand’s identity, as we requested. Moreover, we have received a significant amount of contact forms since we launched the site. Although we weren’t taking new clients at the moment, we noticed an increase in our submitted forms.

Xcratch project management and communication were excellent. They met deadlines and pushed me because I was the one that caused the site’s launching delay. Xcratch developed my mobile app for iOS and Android. First, we put together a list of features; I told them what I wanted over the phone, and they organized my ideas in an Excel spreadsheet and turned them into features. They provided the phases in which they would develop the product by timeline, cost, and hour. From there, we went into the discovery and design phases, and Xcratch created wireframes. Then, the team went into production.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project was a big undertaking, and Xcratch excelled. The app has a free subscription for tracking and a paid ready-to-conceive plan, and I’ve had several free subscribers convert to paid subscribers. These results show that people are using the app and want more of its features; seeing that people are interested in the paid features is exciting. I’ve had a handful of positive reviews, including glowing reviews through Instagram. 

Although we only have four ratings, the app has five stars on the App Store. I’ve also been getting more traffic than ever on the website. I launched the app a month ago and still need to get marketing going. However, I’m confident it’ll go well. Overall, they were outstanding, and I can’t thank them enough — I’m happy I found them.

They stayed on budget and went above and beyond with project management. The team was amazing in documenting everything upfront so that we didn’t have many change requests at the end, and if there were, we worked through them. They tracked every step of the project and never dropped the ball. 

Their communication skills were also amazing; even though they were in a different country, I never felt they were far away. They were extremely responsive and stayed on task. We used Slack for project management, which was extremely helpful.

When we approve Xcratch's recommendations, they go ahead and create the content for us to review and ultimately publish on our websites. In addition to that, they provide us with follow-up reporting and analysis on how our content updates are performing. This part of the process also includes competitor analysis.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• The main KPIs we use to evaluate Xcratch’s performance are our increases in organic leads and revenue. As secondary indicators, we look at organic traffic and page-one keyword coverage growth for our target keywords. Although I can’t share specific numbers, I know that our partnership has grown since I joined because they’ve helped us drive good performance on our sites.

Xcratch delivers on time and within budget. They have their own project management tool, where I can access our project’s dashboard and see what they’re working on and the completed tasks. Additionally, we communicate via email and virtual meetings.

Xcratch’s project management was smooth; they delivered on schedule by sticking to the agreed-upon timeline and were open to our feedback. Regarding tools, we used Asana.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed by Xcratch’s final product and the deliverables of their work. We could tell that they had experience working with professional web development projects. They always sent solid, prepared products and never wasted time sending us incomplete products for feedback, which we appreciated. Overall, we were delighted with how everything was up to our expectations.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Xcratch designed and developed a custom website for our company. We first had discussions with Xcratch about the site’s design, and after we agreed on the design, Xcratch developed the website. When Xcratch finished the site’s development, they ran a QA check before launching the site.

I asked Xcratch to develop our site using a no-code platform. However, I also told Xcratch I didn’t want a pre-made template. Xcratch designed the site on Figma and developed it on WordPress. Xcratch shared the site’s wireframe with me before developing it.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Xcratch developed a website that works excellently. The site’s design met my expectations, and we received a good response from our audience. Our organic leads generation improved without spending on marketing or advertising, which we plan to do in the future. 

How did Xcratch perform from a project management standpoint?

Xcratch’s communication was top-notch, and we were in different countries. We mainly communicated through email and phone calls. Xcratch responded to all my change requests and didn’t charge me extra for small changes. If the edit I required took more than two hours to complete, Xcratch added it to our budget. 

Xcratch believed in long-term business relationships, and it showed. We used Jira for project management.

I was most impressed with Xcratch’s creativity and design skills. Xcratch was professional and showed us unique design proposals. We ended up choosing a simple design, but I noticed Xcratch could design anything with their creativity and expertise.
