What challenge were you trying to address with WebFX?

WebFX was actually already onboard when I joined, but based on discussions with my predecessors, they were brought on to promote our business and some of our products through SEO, content strategy, and the website. It was something we previously had not been doing very much of.

WebFX creates and manages the content on our website. They also work on SEO campaigns to generate organic traffic through the site to help get us exposure online.

They were brought on before my time. However, if I were deciding now whether to bring them on, I would do it in a heartbeat, having seen what they’ve done and how great they’ve done for us.

My company has been working with them for about five years. I’d say they probably would’ve come on right at the beginning of the year, to get ready for our busy season.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’ve had a really good experience working with WebFX. They’ve helped to grow our brands and products immensely. Their staff and our point of contact are very friendly and knowledgeable. Given that I don’t really know how SEO or any of that stuff works, they do a good job of explaining how their services are actually benefitting us. The reporting they provide helps us determine which products perform best in the marketplace, which states or regions products do better in, and things like that. All of those metrics help us shape our sales strategies.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very good. Their communication is very open. That’s another one of the positives of working with them: I never have to wonder what is going on. Our point of contact is very communicative with us and shares things as they’re progressing. A lot of our communication is through email, and my point of contact and I have monthly calls to review results and check in.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s been a very good experience in general with them. I have no reason to leave them in the foreseeable future. They do such a good job explaining things to myself and others here who don’t have SEO knowledge; they help us to understand the benefits we’re getting from their services. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of a thing that I’d be able to suggest we need improvement on. I haven’t had any negative experiences.

Any advice for potential customers?

They’re very accommodating and willing to work with you on different projects or help boost your sales. The biggest thing I’d suggest is to be open with them to really get the full benefit of their services, because they can help you a lot.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebFX?

We wanted a more creative partner than our vendor at the time. We couldn’t do much through the backend of our website. Their ideas didn’t match our goals.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, WebFX developed and designed our website. They worked with our team and wrote code in HTML. Their team also managed our social media profiles at one point.

When we had a larger team, we maintained our website. Now, we have a maintenance agreement with WebFX. If we need to make a change outside of a text or image, I shoot them a message. Their team’s on it right away.

Right now, WebFX is working to make our website more user friendly. We have a ton of different tabs, which can confuse a customer. They try to make the site easier to navigate.  

Their team manages our SEO, PPC, and Google Ads campaigns. Each month, they give us a report with action items and takeaways from the previous month. Their team also includes suggestions.  

Currently, their team helps us to run a three-month-long sweepstake. Their team creates content and helps to translate code to customize the content for our dealers.

We have an account representative, Amanda (Web Project Manager). We also communicate with Anna (Social Media Specialist).

How did you come to work with WebFX?

We researched web vendors and found WebFX through a vendor fair. We had conversations with past clients to learn about their experiences.

We especially liked WebFX because they had experience with other construction equipment dealers. It makes a partnership more seamless when a vendor’s familiar with our brands. We also saw their work, which was creative. They seemed like a perfect fit, so we went forward from there.

We’ve spent between $50,000–$100,000 on their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We launched our project in the spring of 2015, and our partnership’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’re extremely happy with how the website turned out. Our PPC click-through rate is up 25% from last April. That’s a major climb to us because we’re trying to invest more in PPC, SEO, and Google Ads. This past April, 63 leads came in through our website.  

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

We primarily communicate via e-mail. We have open lines of communication and they respond quickly. Each month, their team prepares and uploads content to Google Drive for us to put into motion.

When I see a feature that I like on a competitor’s site, I send them to WebFX which tells us how much it would cost to reproduce. Their team gives us great suggestions. They don’t take feedback negatively because they’re willing to try new ideas.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They always acknowledge our emails and calls. For example, the link from our Facebook to our home page was down. I sent Amanda an e-mail and she acknowledged the problem. Instead of only saying that their team would fix it, she gave us a potential reason for the issue and a solution. Then, she told us what she would do from there.

They explain what needs to be done and why an issue occurred. Their team explains their efforts thoroughly, which allows us to understand that our expenses are put to good use each month.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I haven’t had a negative experience with WebFX. We’ve overcome the initial challenges that we had at the beginning of our engagement.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You don’t just get a product from them; you get a partnership. Work with them. WebFX is willing to help you with whatever you need.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebFX?

When I started with the company in early 2018, they were looking to redo their website and were interested in SEO. So, my first job was getting out there and looking for companies that could perform that well.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebFX started with the website redesign, working basically from scratch. The team also worked on our SEO and managed our PPC campaigns with Google. Since then, we added a digital retarget marketing campaign.

What is the team composition?

We originally worked with Sandi (Web Project Manager) on the website development, but now our main point of contact is Nicole (Internet Marketing Consultant). If anyone’s ever away, we always have another contact we can reach out to.

How did you come to work with WebFX?

I did a lot of research online and asked a lot of people in the industry. I had also worked with other web development and SEO companies. Some local firms in Wilmington kept coming up throughout my research, which meant they had worked with a strong SEO company. 

I called them and they told me they were using WebFX. We received several proposals from other companies. Though WebFX was neither the most expensive nor the cheapest, they were the most impressive in the process of bidding on a job and as far as information. 

How much have you invested with them?

We recently dropped our monthly spend from $7,000 per month to $5,000. Our annual spend last year was about $80,000, and this year, it’s going to be closer to $60,000. We also paid approximately $16,000 for the website. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement began in October 2018, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The website is phenomenal and easy to navigate. When I hired them, my SEO goal was to have at least 10 keyword phrases on the first page of Google within less than a year and we surpassed that.

On top of just being nice and responsive, they get results. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we had to reduce our budget slightly but we are still seeing great results.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

They do a fabulous job and are always on time. We’ve never had any issues as far as responses. The marketing managers who we work with know their stuff. The team has strong communication and knowledge.

We often have weekly meetings, and they also provide us with detailed reports on a weekly basis. Additionally, we have a portal where we can go in and look at details on our progress, view graphs, and generate customized reports. When I have any questions, I can contact Nicole and she’s always happy to help. 

That’s what’s great about them. I never have to wait to hear back from them because they respond right away. Nicole is phenomenal. WebFX is a great company and you can tell that they know what they’re doing and they love what they do.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I can’t tell you how happy I am with WebFX. They’re just amazing. The team works really hard and focuses on their results. I’ve worked with a lot of SEO companies and it’s a complicated business to understand.

This team speaks to you in a way that non-tech-savvy individuals can still understand, which is really helpful. They have a team of highly-skilled young people with in-depth knowledge of all aspects of internet marketing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I have no suggestions. I can’t say they’ve disappointed me in any area. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would recommend the teammates who I’ve worked with. The people I contacted about WebFX had worked with a different team member with whom I wanted to work.

When I found out that person was not available,
I was a little worried, but I ended up really happy with the team I have. WebFX is constantly developing new software and is constantly improving the programs that they have for reporting.

WebFX doesn’t sit back; they’re constantly moving forward while keeping the customer informed. I would recommend them to everyone.

I’m the president of CEO of a conglomerate of automotive parts manufacturers, distributors, and retailers.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebFX?

We had two major issues. The first of which was that we had four platform-specific retails sites and two wholesale sites that weren’t performing as well as they could be. Our second issue was an internal deficit in our skillsets when it came to managing PPC and advertising.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We decided to merge all of our sites and needed a single platform that navigated all of them. They ended up developing three sites for us.

We also needed to grow our domain authority and improve our rankings. They specialize analytics and they were able to five into the numbers to determine where the best ROI is. They determined which keywords to target, managed SEO, and earned media.

What is the team composition?

I worked with a few people. We had a point person on PPC, another on SEO, and a developer.

How did you come to work with WebFX?

Out head of IT did an exhaustive search. They were local, but we selected them because they were the best option for us. They were our first choice.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $145,000 on the web development, and out budget for advertising this year is about $120,000. In total, we’ve spent about $300,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We brought them on in April 2019 and we continue to work together.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our domain ranking for the merged sites is significantly stronger. The executed everything to perfection. They managed our data. And individual web presences effectively and we’re starting to see a significant uptick in sales.

We knew what we wanted to achieve, but they added a lot of creativity and programming knowledge to make our wish list a reality. They executed everything much better than we have internally.

Of course, with the COVID-19 outbreak and a global recession, we’re not exactly where we wanted to be, but that is to be expected.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

Both leads for advertising and web development are very strong. They’ve executed on all of our requests and were very timely in their responses. They’re also very customer-focused. They really tried to understand our needs and were able to create tangible results.

Every week we got an update on project status and upcoming hurdles or deadlines. They were accountable and ensured that deadlines were met.

They’re very detailed in what they offer. The project was clearly defined. Anytime there was an issue, they worked fairly quickly to resolve the issue. They took care of it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re customer-centric. They’re very data-driven, and that sets them apart from other companies. In the past, I’ve worked with other companies who thought the more we spent, the better. That isn’t the case with WebFX. They made sure that we were spending every dollar appropriately in order to maximize our ROI, increase traffic, and ultimately, convert.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Although this isn’t a fault of theirs, our team took on more of the project if we had a longer relationship with WebFX. Our internal team did some of the programming, but they could have done it just as effectively.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Anyone who chooses to work with them should outline the project and each facet of the project. They can probably save some time by working with WebFX.

Once we signed on for PPC services, the results doubled. When we audit the website, we see leads and traffic coming in. Last April, the weather affected our sources of revenue besides the website. Our website was on track and sold four jobs in one month.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a monthly call when we go over the statistics, so their team keeps me up to date consistently. Their project management’s the best I’ve ever seen from a company. They use Basecamp and a calendar to schedule all of our projects. I’ve never worked with a representative that is as in step with a project as our account representative from WebFX. Our account representative hasn’t changed, which is great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What makes WebFX different is that they’re focused on us. We worked with third-party vendors in the past that only delivered unqualified leads, so their work wasn’t for us. It doesn’t feel like WebFX has any other customers than us. Our account representative gets excited about our website, projects, and results. I associate them with words such as consistency, loyalty, and listening.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t think so.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Do what they ask you to do. Put into the engagement what you want to get out of it because their team’s ready to do whatever you need to do. Be responsive and take their advice. Educate yourself because the internet’s an ever-changing beast. There are always new technologies. Learn their language to help you know what services they can provide for you.

We needed help with SEO and online marketing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had a conversation with WebFX and explained the situation. We’d lost a lot of money with a previous company, so we wanted to make sure we chose the right company. Nolan (Internet Marketing Analyst) and Dan (Marketing Team Lead) spoke to us during the first meeting and walked us through everything.

WebFX has done everything: PPC, SEO, and social media. We did PPC right away. They created ads and revamped some of the ones we had on social media. They gave us multiple options and let us pick and choose what we liked. The SEO is the biggest thing for us. When our former business partner left, we lost our blog. WebFX rewrote our blog posts and created more content that we could use for SEO.

Dan got the account set up, and our main point of contact and SEO person is Nolan. Nolan also runs digital marketing for our other companies, Rocky Mountain IV Medics, out of Colorado, and Mobile IV medics, out of California. It’s extremely beneficial to have the same digital marketing person because he knows the world that we work in. He’s quickly become an expert. We’ve worked with a couple of other teammates, and they’ve all been amazing. 

How did you come to work with WebFX?

We had a business partner previously whose wife was really good at SEO and online marketing. They created their own business, so we had to venture out and find a company that could do marketing for us. We found a company that seemed great, but then they were horrible and wouldn’t give us a refund when we saw a drop in business rather than an increase. 

We had to find another company, so I did some research online. WebFX had a lot of great reviews. They were also US-based. One of the problems with the other company was that they outsourced their work, and some of their SEO had verbiage that we don’t use in the US.

How much have you invested with them?

In the first month, we spent about $6,000 on their services to get going and setup. For the total engagement, including all ad spend, we spent $20,000 per month for October and November 2019. In December and January, we spent $28,000 each month. Since February 2020, we’ve spent about $25,000 each month.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our work together began in October 2019, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

SEO is a big driving factor for our business. It was a fight to get there, but they did it super fast. They knew it was very important to us. We’ve grown about 100% since bringing WebFX on in October. There are various factors that have gone into our jump in sales, but people are seeing us a lot more through organic and paid searches. Our web presence has jumped exponentially; for instance, our Facebook following has grown. We haven’t put any money into growing how many followers we have, but more people have been noticing WebFX’s ads.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

They were super communicative throughout the whole process of bringing them on. They explained to us what was going on and what the next steps were before we had to reach out to them. They explain everything relating to SEO and marketing in layman’s terms.

Every Monday, they send us an update of what happened over the weekend, and then they do the same thing mid-week. We also have bi-weekly meetings with Nolan. At the beginning of our partnership, we had weekly meetings to ensure we were on the same page, but we’ve since gone bi-weekly. They’re short and quick, and if we need the meetings to be longer, WebFX is okay with that. 

They’re always available via phone and email. I don’t think I’ve ever called without them picking up. If there is something going on with SEO or our website, Nolan is there right away. Most places that we’ve worked with don’t act like that. It’s really cool how they’re open and ready to go. Even through COVID-19, they haven’t skipped a beat. It’s still easy to get in contact with them and have our meetings. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I think one of the big things is that they make it their business. When they’re talking about our business, they say ‘we’ instead of ‘your business.’ They’re part of the team. They just put so much time and effort into it. They value our business and take ownership and pride in their work.

I’m also a huge proponent of treating your people well, and WebFX’s employees can’t say enough good things about the company. I think that really shows what type of company they work for. They love what they do, so they’re going to treat our business like it’s their own. It’s really cool to see them get excited when we do well; they don’t treat it like a job that needs to get done.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We literally have zero problems with anything that they’ve done. They’re such a good company. We’ve sent them to multiple companies because of how good they’ve been in this short amount of time. Nolan is already on four of our accounts, and he’s going to help us get set up in Florida.   

Any advice for potential customers?

I would say to give them the steering wheel, sit in the passenger seat, and let them drive. Give them the information that they need, and they will figure everything out for you. It’s that easy; they’re that good. We’re in such a unique space, so not a lot of people know what we do. WebFX’s team quickly learned about our space, and now, they give us recommendations.

Our organization is a full-service landscape company, and we do everything from hardscape, to water features, to mowing lawns, fertilization and irrigation. I’m the marketing and service coordinator.

Since we do so much, it’s easy for a website to get muddied and blurry for our users. We wanted a professional and user-friendly website that would showcase what we do, so we brought in WebFX to make that happen.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebFX redid and overhauled our website to improve SEO as well, so when people search for landscape companies, we come up first. For example, we’re trying to grow the water feature part of our business. So, I contacted Laura about updating the web page and it was done in  a week. I can upload pictures and content and they edit it to make it Google- and SEO-friendly.

They also have embedded words behind images and videos to help us rank in search engines, and even done work on YouTube for us. Finally, they updated our Google My Business page.

Laura (internet marketing analyst) is my main point of contact, but I’ve worked with a few other people as well.

The owner of our company is in a consulting group for landscapers in the US. So when we were looking to update our website, he spoke with other people about who they recommend, and they pointed us to WebFX.

We spent between $40,000–$50,000 in total. To build the website, it cost $6,900, and then we spend $600 monthly.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We have grown every year in organic search, traffic, and contact forms. They send me monthly reports, and in our most recent report, our users from organic search went up significantly. And our contact forms have gone up by 325% compared to last year at this time. In two years, we grew our business from $1.5 million to $3 million.  

With digital marketing, it seems to change almost daily, so rather than taking all of my time to research what I need to do, we have a whole company to do that for us. So that takes a load off my shoulder s and allows me to focus on our company.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re amazing. When I asked them to work on the water feature page, it was completed within a week. So, from a project management standpoint, they’re on top of everything.

Laura and I have a bi-weekly call in which she lets me know what projects they’re working on. This allows us so many development hours, reporting, and all the things we have them doing.

Everybody I’ve worked with there is top-notch, I’ve never had any issues with them. They go above and beyond and listen to what our business is. They always ask if we have any specials going on. They’re very into our business, and what we’re trying to promote.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I love their company culture. They send monthly newsletters and they do marketing and web workshops, so we get a unique, birds eye view of the company. They’re young, innovative, and not afraid of a challenge. They’re always on top of their game.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’ve had three reps in about four years, and it’s hard because we get used to working with somebody and we develop a great relationship because they really understand our business. Then, they’ll move on either because they got a new job or because of a promotion. I like seeing that the people we work with are getting promoted, so I can’t necessarily say that’s a bad thing, but it is a challenge.

Make sure you know your own business and what your goals are. Be ready for a lot of fun.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebFX rebranded us from a garage door installer and a spring manufacturer to solely a spring manufacturer. Their team created a completely new WordPress website and integrated an e-commerce page, which will allow us to sell springs through the site. They also collaborated with different companies to establish our new marketing strategy.

They support our SEO efforts by managing initiatives such as backlinking and siloed linking. Their team also creates different articles for the website. We give them ideas for different topics and then their team produces the SEO-friendly copy. They implement any pictures associated with the topic. Their team also helps with different email campaigns via MailChimp, creating copy and graphics for the efforts.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I’ve seen an increase in our users and sessions through Google Analytics. WebFX walks us through the pages that perform best and those that need improvement. We’re new to mechanical springs, so they helped us to increase the number of users visiting those pages. The e-commerce page allows us to sell springs online whereas before, we could only do so via phone calls. 

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

WebFX emails us regularly. If there are any changes, their team sends us a link to give us an update. They give us monthly analytic sheets that show us how different campaigns are performing. We also have calls monthly when we touch base about what’s working and what isn’t.

I’m the director of sales and marketing at a jewelry store. We specialize in fine luxury goods.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebFX?

We struggled with our SEO efforts, which made it difficult to compete with nearby competitors. It was an area where we needed solid, professional guidance.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebFX asked us many pointed questions early on to understand our identity and culture. Their team also came to understand what differentiated us in the market and what we wanted to be known for. They put time and effort into the backend of our website to help Google see us as a credible source for certain topics. Their team added thousands and thousands of targeted keywords. They also manage PPC efforts for me.

What is the team composition?

Primarily, I work with Morgan (Internet Marketing Specialist), who’s outstanding.

How did you come to work with WebFX?

I started with a broad search on Google and found that WebFX was considered a competent agency on several sites. I also found that they’re based in Harrisburg, which is close to my location. They have a big, strong national presence, but I still view them as a local company.

How much have you invested with them?

I spend about $50,000—$100,000 with WebFX each year.

What is the status of this engagement?

I signed the contract around March 2019 and our partnership’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We ask every customer how they found us and why they chose us. Customers find us online frequently, which was a challenge for us in the past. Many more customers find us while searching for engagement rings. After reading our reviews, they come into our shop. People find us more easily now. WebFX actually flipped our PPC and SEO efforts, decreasing the time and investment in PPC. 

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve had in-person meetings. When Morgan took over my account, she was intentional about learning how I like to work and adapted to my preferences. She’s dedicated and willing to provide me with any reports that request. I’ve never worked with anyone more accountable than she volunteers to be. It’s been an exceptional experience.

What did you find most impressive about them?

WebFX developed a lot of tools that allow us to better leverage the investment. SEO can be an effort where you create your best content and hope that Google likes it. However, WebFX is able to snipe in and spend dollars producing content intentionally and productively.

I can’t find anything to complain about.
