I’m the VP of partnership and business development at Honeycomb Software, a global software consulting company. We’re originally from Ukraine but currently have offices in Ukraine, Poland, and the US. I’m based in Houston, Texas.

What challenge were you trying to address with tsukat?

The tsukat team has helped us with many things, but we’re mainly working on an AR/VR solution. Specifically, their task is to create a WebGL tool to help us better manage client-side camera installation. 

For context, we want to decrease the time and number of physical location visits, and the idea is to allow our users to simulate their environment as close as possible to camera views. Our team does a lot of custom software tasks, but we don’t have much expertise in this area. As a result, we’ve decided to look elsewhere and start a partnership with tsukat. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve worked with a third-party client for this project. Our team has provided the necessary documentation to get started. We’ve also divided the project into several milestones and created a proof of concept. So far, tsukat has been helping us with several tasks.

Our goal is to simplify the selection and configuration of things related to the energy industry. For instance, the solution can be used by someone who needs to replace a part in oil and gas operations somewhere. Simply put, it’s a digital twin platform that can help expand the services of our end client, and tsukat has taken over and done the entire project.

We work with more than five people, including a project manager, a WebGL developer, a 3D artist, a QA engineer, and a UI/UX designer. Taras (Creative Director & Founder) coordinates the entire team.

The quality of tsukat’s work has been great. Our end client is super happy about the product, which looks like a high-end video game. 

How did tsukat perform from a project management standpoint?

Their services are cost-effective, and they deliver on time; tsukat hasn’t missed any deadlines yet. I also like their design-first approach, where they complete the designs first, and then the rest of the team executes based on those designs. 

Moreover, they’re transparent and keep everybody informed about the project’s progress. We communicate through Slack, email, and Teams to address any concerns. Overall, they have a remarkable project management style and deliver on their promises. They’ve exceeded our expectations, and we’re planning to keep on using them. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their resources have a great ability to plan and break the project up into executable milestones. That’s useful since we often have to figure out where to start when there’s a big project. 

Compared to other companies, tsukat has been able to describe what they can achieve more effectively and deliver exactly that. With other companies, there’s not a lot of clarity on what we’re going to get. In terms of skills, their WebGL output quality is also amazing.

No, there aren’t any. They’ve done an excellent job.

Don’t be afraid to dive into the project with tsukat. Even if it’s a complex idea, they can bring it to life successfully. They ask good questions to ensure the idea comes to life and works.

Amazing quality of developers and management responsiveness. Tsukat is very easy to work with. They deliver high quality results while being very flexible in case something is changing.

Project requirements definition is fairly informal. It may be challenging to clearly define the scope of the project upfront, if you are looking for the fixed price project. This wasn't a big project for us since we were running our project on T&M basis.

Tsukat delivered on time, within the budget and with the expected quality we expected. We have been working with them for quite some time and obviously there are ups & downs, but Tsukat is by far one of the best companies I have had the pleasure to work with.

They have dedicated PM's which make sure that the project stays on track. They are great and we rarely miss a deadline.

They are proactive in their communication and they "think" - well believe it or not, we work with loads of service providers out there and most of them dont take it serious or are merely code producers, meaning they dont think beyond their own lines of code. TSUKAT delivers, but also provides very valuable input.

Like I said before, we have worked together for quite some time and there were good and bad times. Overall, we are more than happy with their services.
