• The team worked very closely with our in-house back end developers to agree contracts ahead of building every item delivered

• Their team was very independant and required very little hand holding to work through minor technical problems - we were able to scope the objective of each story and leave their team to deliver in a sensible way
• The team collaborated with us to suggest product and technical improvements to the original scope - they had interest in delivering the best possible product not just the agreed scope
• They were able to flex the size and make up of the team depending on our needs (e.g. more testers or front end devbs depending on requirements every sprint. This allowed us to keep costs low while maintaining the ideal team for our needs. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something TH-EY could have done differently?

• We would have appreciated some support from a scrum master to coordinate with our team on tracking delivery details. This was done instead through regular meetings, but a little more documentation on that side would have been useful

At each stage, we had periodic demo calls, where the progress was presented and the next steps discussed. Furthermore, we have access to Jira, Confluence, and Slack, where constant communications are in place. Items are delivered on time.

We end up with our requirements converted to the designs and all the tasks and user stories described in details in Jira project, that was taken by the development team

In this phase, we were performing the weekly calls with the designer and one of the founders (a developer). Mostly, we were working on the Figma, TH-EY were performing the design work in between the meetings. On the calls, they were gathering our feedback, discussing all the features etc. Lastly, TH-EY created a Jira project with all the user stories, according to our requirements. Everything was delivered on time.

TH-EY were incredible responsive in the first instance and we have found that working with them has been an incredibly rewarding experience because we feel that they are willing to take on board every suggestion and are always solution based. TH-EY have put a lot of work into helping us prioritise the features we require and have kept us updated of all developments through various means throughout the design and development phase. 

TH-EY listen exceptionally well and make detailed notes during any discussion to ensure that we are getting exactly what we require. TH-EY strike the right balance between being professional and personable and they are extremely patient and proactive when it comes to any changes we may wish to make. 

TH-EY are extremely knowledgeable and are ready to provide several solutions to any given problem so that we are able to weigh up the pros and cons of each solution and find the best way forward.

Worked with TH-EY on a project where a UX design and creation of a clickable wireframe for a prototype needed to be created in very short timeframe.

TH-EY was extremely helpful in ensuring the success of our projects.

TH-EY had to work with the client to help identify the prototype goals, user groups and MVP requirements before even starting to build out a wireframe prototype. The prototype had to be clickable and working enough for potential customer presentations. All this had to be done in two weeks time which felt like a big challenge but TH-EY made it easy to meet the deadline.

I worked with an architect and a UX designer directly.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The client was very pleased with the outcome and how easy it was to work with the team. Because TH-EY knew all the right questions to ask, worked quickly and efficiently and was flexible and adjusting where needed this whole project was much easier than ever expected.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The UX designer met with the client every day for an hour to ensure alignment and continuous review given the very short timeframe for the project. In addition I met with him daily briefly where he had great communication on the progress, concerns and where we stood vs end goal.

When we came to TH-EY, we had an idea of what the application should do. We have provided them with the details of our current workflow. After a few workshops they have provided us with wireframes that have shown the end product as well as estimates with a breakdown. The wireframes were later used by the branding team that we hired to produce the final designs. After the final designs were ready the contract was signed and the development started. The technologies used: Java with Spring framework, React, Microsoft SQL Server Everything deployed to Azure cloud

We’ve been communicating with the company founder regarding the ongoing development and feedback. There were 2 developers involved in the development.

TH-EY were hired to build us a custom web platform, which facilitates the whole hiring process and connects job applicants with employers.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I found TH-EY on the Clutch. The deciding factor was the cost of the development in comparison to other London-based agencies. But also I was able to talk with one of their clients, who recommended them.

I approached TH-EY with a rough idea of what needed to be done. I had the project description and some initial wireframes. They prepared a quote based on the material I provided, and we agreed to move forward from there. At first I worked with their designer and then with the development team. After about 1 week of working on the designs, they started to develop the application. After another week I was able to click through the app, login and see the progress on the test environment. Subsequent features were delivered on a daily basis and as soon as each component was finished it landed on the test server. The frontend was done in the React framework, backend in Java. The application was deployed to the AWS environment.

I communicated mostly with the company founder - Filip, who was managing the project. But at the same time we had a slack channel, where I was able to talk directly with all the team members. The team in total was 5 people (not everybody working at the same time) including designer, developers and QA.

We now have the MVP version of the platform, which is in beta testing. Right now we are focussed on getting initial traction, validating core features and are looking ahead to raising venture capital to develop our product offering for enterprise users.

The communication was excellent, I spoke directly with the team members and had demos and calls with their manager. Project management was carried out through the Jira board, where all the tasks and requirements were described. If there were any questions or uncertainties, we discussed them on Slack, which helped us avoid misunderstandings.

TH-EY has a proven track record and brings the lessons learned from previous projects with them to new work. The team was not only able to execute efficiently on building features for our product, but also provide advice and guidance on best practice during initial discussions.

When we come to TH-EY we had initial drafts of the design and how the application should work. They provided us the initial estimation and scope of work that needs to be done. As soon as we agreed and signed the contract, they start the work.

First they provided designs and then start coding. The whole project was put into Jira and split into the tasks. After about a week we had access to the platform and were able to test the features they develop step by step. The technologies used: Java with Spring framework, React, MySQL Everything deployed to AWS cloud

We’ve been communicating with both company founders who manage the project. There was 3 additional developers involved in the development.

At the moment we are before the official launch, but they provided us the platform that we needed. All the features that we required in the initial estimation were developed plus a couple of extra ones taken from our feedback.
