I'm Justin Roth, a personal trainer and the Founder of Helf Inc., a company involved in providing personal fitness training services to users at home or online.

For what projects/services did your company hire TechEniac, and what were your goals?

I was in middle to have a Mobile App for hiring fitness trainers and was looking for a UI/UX partner to create an MVP model from an existing App with flow gaps. I brought Techeniac on to create the MVP model and launch it in Arizona as a pilot project to improve and mature the product depending upon the feedback.

The client first found us on UpWork. We had a couple of Zoom sessions to discuss our current app issues. We eventually resolved to revamp the app use cases through rigorous business research and product development since we determined that it needed good business analysis and domain understanding.

I came to Techeniac with my idea to conceptualise it further. We started by extensively analysing the requirements and conceptualising the complete platform. We had few brainstroming sessions which clarified their thought process and they came up with detailed features required to setup the product. I also got impressed with their MVP approach which assembles suffcient features, roll it out to limited user audience and move forward with their feedback.

They understood both targetted users and split the apps but kept a smooth communication channels between the apps. They carefully designed the apps UI and features which is easy for users. Ultimately, Techeniac demonstrated its expertise by adopting a product development approach and establishing the strategy with a more comprehensive vision to sustain revenue while maturing the system.

We worked with a team of four developers, a product manager, and a mobile team lead throughout the ongoing engagement. The team also featured the founder of the service provider.

We have almost 100 users and are steadily building our presence with our solid app.

I appreciate Techeniac's professionalism and responsiveness in executing the project straightforwardly and transparently; I admire watching the product evolve over time. Their team maintained communication while working on the project, and kept measuring the feature depth from time to time by simulating. This was seen when they made the package structure for the trainers easier to understand.

They kept User privacy safe by setting up in-app calls and chats between users and trainers only after purchase, kept package cancellation and refunds simple and easy for both trainers and users, and paid trainers for their sessions regularly through one click. They also made sure not to overspend on a limited budget by preserving features that were both cost-effective and at par.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most remarkable aspect was seeing them put in the same level of effort as if they were creating their own product. To preserve total transparency, they have always been straightforward when there has been a misinterpretation or misunderstanding. They have been a crucial component of my product development process. I might have found a company with comparable expertise but not the same level of dedication, commitment, and openness.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I believe we could have been more precise with the timeframe, but there have been many modifications along the way, and effective product development takes its own time.

The work was mainly about creating our website and setting things up so our products and services are easy to understand. They handled the design, added the main pages like products, services and contact, and helped organise the content properly. They also made sure the site works well on both mobile and desktop.

Since the website was launched, we’ve been using it while talking to new clients. They can go through our products and services on their own, so it saves time and makes conversations more direct. It’s been helpful in explaining what we do without too much back and forth.

The coordination was quite simple. We discussed what we needed in the beginning and they followed that. If we had any changes or suggestions, they were open to it and made the updates without much delay. Overall, the process was smooth and easy to manage.

Right now, we don't have specific metrics for customer success, but based on our results so far, we're confident it's bringing significant value to our customers' businesses.

A weekly meeting and on-demand one-on-ones were all that was needed to keep the project moving forward. Besides chats, we used Google Docs.

There are always areas for improvement, but listing them might create an unfair impression. Most of the necessary improvements are on our side anyway. The team has really adapted to our way of working.

Our Website was built 5 years ago in wordpress with alot of customisation. We have not updated our plugins or made any updates to the versions of software used in this time. Our hosting company was enforcing a change to the PHP version and this was going to cause an issue for our site. We needed someone to upgrade our site and make sure the functionality and look wasn't effected.

Scope of work was upgrading Wordpress version, Updating Woocommerce and all plugins and ensuring that the look and feel of the site wasn't affected. The site has alot of custom CSS and PHP customisations that needed to be considered.

The upgrades were performed successfully, on time and most importantly our site looked and functioned exactly as it had before, after the changes.

Their project management technique was to update us daily on the changes and what has been accomplished, as we requested that. They were diligent in ensuring that we were satisfied with each round of changes before moving on to the next round.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The understood our requirements totally before starting. This was very impressive to me as it is rare to find a company where the developers actually take the time to listen to you and your requirements. Also, we were able to contact someone from TechEniac whenever we needed to.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not really. We were very happy with the process.
