For what projects/services did your company hire Softermii, and what were your goals?
We wanted to build a compelling app for users who lack knowledge in wealth management. The goal was to come up with an all-in-one solution that would track all the spending and loans, analyze spending, and set up financial goals.
The app should have looked accessible for any type of audience, have multiple integrations with American banking systems, asset, and property management platforms, and contained forecasting algorithms. We wanted the Softermii team to develop an accessible UI/UX, integrate third-party APIs, implement assets and properties management, and set up internal integrations with banks.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We looked through the Clutch.co for development companies with experience in a similar field. We checked reviews for this company, and their website, and contacted their representative. The deciding factor was their broad experience in developing apps and the timeframe in which the project had to be completed.

The Softermii team managed to develop the concept of an all-in-one financial application that would let users take full control of their spending and financial goals. The application was divided into 3 components:
Spending monitoring. It included spending analysis, segmentation into spending categories, future spending forecasting, and personalized notifications when users approached the spending limit.
Financial portfolio. It included asset management, setting up goals for potential savings (like apartment or car), property management (like rental income), and personalized offers for investments.
Loan opportunities. The team developed a special algorithm that synchronized data with banks and provided the options with a high probability of getting a loan.
Each component underwent numerous testings by focus groups and QA testers in order to make it easy to understand and control personal funds for people with no experience. As for security measures, we decided on using Two-Factor Authentication with the use of the OAUTH2 login security protocol.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There were 13 specialists on the team. Softermii development team was responsible for developing Web, iOS and Android applications simultaneously. The architecture of the app had to be somehow similar for future scalability and improvements. The design team provided over 10 concepts and prototypes in order to highlight the best practices and combine them into the final version of the app.
The QA team launched multiple automated tests in order to find security breaches because the app integrated with banks. The whole number of tests reached 200. The whole team also collaborated with DevOps specialists to ensure they followed secure SDLC guidelines and selected a suitable cloud provider.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Even though our application is still very fresh, we’ve managed to achieve 1,296,000 transactions which we’ve tracked via the app in the first 2 months after release, 3,000 properties were connected to the app in the first 2 months after release, and 24,000 subscribers joined an app in the first 2 months after release.

We find the workflow almost seamless. Since the company is experienced in multiple fields, it was quite easy to share our idea and to come all the way for its release. We used Jira, Ganttpro, Scrum, and Slack. The Softermii team is very professional, supportive, and comprehensive.

The team was truly dedicated and committed to the project. They worked on the app as if it was their own.

I’m quite satisfied with the results. I don’t think there’s anything that needs improvement.
