I’m a co-owner of a beverage holder company and t-shirt brand.

What challenge were you trying to address with SmartSites?

They handle the PPC for all of our brands and SEO for our beverage holding company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They set up all of the PPC campaigns on Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Pinterest Ads. They occasionally come up with ideas for the ads, but I usually come up with most of the content myself. They also handle all of the SEO for our e-commerce site.

What is the team composition?

We have two people working on PPC, one person working on SEO, and one account manager.

How did you come to work with SmartSites?

I did a Google search and saw them on a couple of lists. We called them and another company, but we thought that SmartSites offered a fair price and had an impressive portfolio. After interviewing them online, we liked how energetic and professional. While we spoke on the phone, they reviewed our account and gave us some advice. They shared their screen so we could watch how they worked and they seemed to be really knowledgeable. Ultimately, we decided to work with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in October 2020 and our partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Overall, we’re happy with their work and plan to continue our partnership. They do seem to be performing better than the last partner we worked with. We have seen improvement since this time last year, but it’s difficult to determine how much of that is because of their work. We had just opened our store last January, we’ve only been working with them for a couple of months, and COVID-19 really impacted our sales.

How did SmartSites perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via email and they’re very responsive. Once a month, we have a phone call to go over metrics and our budget, but we can reach out to them at any point.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very responsive and they communicate with us on almost a daily basis. They’re energetic people, so they work well with our company. They’re very passionate about what they do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they need to improve.

seo, adwords, fix our website - we needed a huge technical audit / fix due to the face of previous agencies never setting it up properly. Update plugins that have been overlooked and to help our adwords get seen more.

When looking or a new company to help us we found smartsites on google. It appeared they did everything that we wanted plus more! we set up a few meeting and felt very comfortable with them. They seem to understand our needs and what we are tying to do.

We have not been with them very long however we just finished our technical audit and are in the process of starting a redesign on our website. The scope took a little longer than originally expected however we were okay with this considering all the issues that were found and needed addressed.

We have seen a great increase in the adword campaigns along with leads and traffic to our website.

How far we have come in a short 4 mths!! We are excited to see what all we can do in the mths and years to come.

Nope. I feel they are doing everything well and in a timely manner.

Our online and Google visibility has skyrocketed since we started working with SmartSites.

Their professionalism and knowledge. I wouldn't have been able to do what they do. They have helped me take my company to another level.

no, they were great. I have ZERO complaints.

We scheduled calls with several companies and Smart Sites gave a great impression. Since SEO will involve adding content to our website, we didn't want to trust our brand image to just anyone. Their presentation showed they have expertise and professionalism to accomplish what we need.

So far PPC is beginning to work better and we've made lots of positive SEO related changes. It's too early to see the results with SEO since that takes time, however I can tell that good work is being done and we're excited to see what next year brings.

They started handling digital marketing work for us by running our Google Ads account. Since then, they’ve offered other services such as social media management and SEO, but we’ve been satisfied with their paid advertising work alone. We collaborated back and forth on ad copy ideas.

I originally spoke with Natalie (Account Manager) to start our account there and establish a contract. Then, we started working directly with Richard (Senior PPC Analyst) on our Google Ads account.

They showed up in the search results after I searched for top marketing agencies. After reading some positive reviews, I called them about the work.

We spend about $500 every month.

We’ve been working together since around September 2020.

My total ad spend, including management fees, has generated a 25x ROI. I’m very pleased with their work and the results we’re seeing from them.  

How did SmartSites perform from a project management standpoint?

I come to Richard with my suggestions and ideas, and he’ll do thorough research to find solutions to my questions. It’s clear that he’s committed to providing a quality service, not just making more money. I appreciate his devotion to getting the best results he could possibly get for us. We communicate either by phone or email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their main goal is to have us succeed and generate as many leads as possible, and that commitment shows in their work. They create long-lasting relationships through good business. That’s why I’ve continued to work with them over the years.

I can’t think of anything. They’re super helpful.

Don’t look any further for a Google Ads partner. You won’t waste any time or money with them.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

So far, we have increased our signups by 31% since signing with SmartSites. Month over month we have seen an increase in sign-ups and we have confirmed through their data and reporting that most of these sign-ups came from our PPC efforts.

They are constantly trying to help us do better as a company but also increase our presence across all aspects such as SEO and Email marketing.

Mike and Kristina always communicated with us if there was ever an issue. More importantly, we have a monthly call in which we go over the reporting, data, and any opportunities they feel we are missing out on.

SmartSites were also very prompt at responding to our emails. They always meet their deadlines and give realistic expectations of when tasks would be completed.

Mike and Kristina always make us feel like we are their number one priority. Not only does this team care about our success as a company, but they are interested in our personal growth as well.

I found SmartSites in my search for a reputable digital marketing agency to specifically run my Facebook Advertising while i get a grip on my business. I approached this process in a borderline paranoid way because i've gotten screwed over twice beforehand by 5-star rated agencies/individuals (and this is coming from a careful skeptic to begin with!).

I was greeted in a very professional way by Natalie and got a proposal, with their Facebook ads specialist Brian, that was carefully thought out and tailored towards my business (through a zoom call which made it personal and human).

I went ahead through the onboarding process which was easy and informative. So far results have been good and service has been great. Brian communicates with me all the time as far as telling me what happened, what's going on, and what's going to happen.

What was the team composition?

Got greeted amicably by Natalie, and introduced to Brian. Both went on to give me a proposal that was tailored towards my business.

Right now, we've faced Facebook difficulties but they took the initiate to pursue Google as well and I currently have a positive ROAS

We were doing well and ready to take off until Facebook's algorithmic nonsense - which is none of our faults - has seemingly conspired to set us back. Yet Brian went the extra mile and set up a profitable Google Ads campaign, which is kicking ass with a positive ROI right now. By far the best person i've worked with. Very satisfied!!

After we decided to move forward, we met the team we'd be working with (Ash and Kristina), from there they both gathered the information needed from us to begin PPC/SEO work. Each month we're getting a run down of progress and overall incredible metrics we haven't had the luxury of viewing until now.

After a few months of working with Kristina and Ash, we actually ended up having to pause services for a week while a salesman was out of town because we couldn't handle the number of leads they were generating!

They provide a dashboard every month that shows the previous months metrics/performance. Both Kristina and Ash are always available by email and respond within a timely manner with detailed answers to any questions we had. I would imagine they are just as accessible by phone, however, we primarily use email as it works best for us.

They are modern (they use email, video calls, digital presentations, etc,) and understand there is sometimes a gap in knowledge which leads them to always offer an explanation when requested or even ask us for clarification on business services we provide.

We hope they continue to build their services to include review generation.

Our over-arching goal was to increase our sales through organic SEO and paid search. We had to stay profitable while doing so. A secondary objective is to increase sales from non-branded keywords (in a profitable manner).

We interviewed several agencies and based on their experience and skillset, we believed they were the best equipped to help us reach our goals.

The transitioned from our previous agency in a way that kept the business moving forward without issues. They assessed our in-market performance and made recommendations that included the creation of relevant landing pages and a testing plan to assess the PPC plan.

I have a day-to-day account manager (Michael) who is great and who runs my business within Smartsites. He leverages the different teams within the agency. For example he worked hand-in-hand with me and the SEO team to ensure we are all synced and aligned. They are all very accessible and easy to work with.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

So far, our results have been great. We have kept the core business running while in parallel, we've implemented a plan to capture more non-branded-keyword volume. Our cost/conversion is within our objective and we feel well prepared for the uptick in Q4

We have weekly meetings, and many times have had more than one meeting per week. Everything has flowed smoothly.

I am impressed with the knowledge and dedication from Michael, who manages my account. He is very accessible and spends a lot of time assessing my business results. He makes good recommendations and also tells me when he doesn't agree with my thinking, which is also a sign of a healthy business relationship.

I interviewed various firms and like their portfolio, professionalism, and cost.

We met at their office a few times to go over goals, branding, and ultimately design ideas. From their, their team put together a few mock up ideas and we went back and forth until they were looking good. Matt and the team then implemented the designs on WordPress and went through QA stages before and after launching.

I worked mainly with Matt who coordinated the project with designers, developers, and seo strategists.

The site itself looks better than ever and I have received lots of compliments on it.

We would talk regularly on the phone, via email, and in person about once per month. We also had access to the project portal which allowed us to see changes in real time.

The team is very knowledgeable and persistent when it comes to finding out issues and providing solutions. Their communication is very fast and transparent.

The organic traffic is not where I hoped it would be yet, but they are continually trying new approaches to improve it.
