I'm the COO of a retail company. We've been on a mission to make the best-tasting coffee possible with reusable filters.

What challenge were you trying to address with Sherpa Design Inc?

We needed to develop a high-end photochemical etched stainless steel reusable coffee filter.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Sherpa Design Inc created different hole sizes, patterns, and shapes of coffee filters to achieve our desired total dissolved solids (TDS) target for coffee extraction in line with Specialty Coffee Associations standards. The team also handled mechanical engineering and design.

We went from the initial tech pack to development samples and then to final production and introduction to the retail market. We also tracked TDS testing of sample filters and DFM analysis of process and materials.
