I am the co-founder and managing director of an organization called BrkThru Digital, a digital marketing company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Serial Scaling?

We were trying to get new leads by improving our site’s content to be SEO-friendly. Our goal was to start doing a more proactive outreach to foreign clients.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The project went through multiple phases. The first thing we did was explain our objectives. Next, Serial Scaling reviewed and analyzed our site. They used their findings to develop a project timeline and plan the next steps. The plan defined how many articles they would publish on our behalf, when they would build new pages on our site, the documentation they needed from us, and how much we have to work together to make the process as effective as possible. Once we were on the same page and the process was outlined, the Serial Scaling team started working on our site’s content and improved its SEO. Additionally, they also assisted with lead generation.

I worked with at least three people, one of whom is Daniel (Founder & Managing Director). 

How did you come to work with Serial Scaling?

I had worked with Daniel before he founded Serial Scaling. I always knew that he did SEO work. I had confidence in him because I’ve seen his previous work.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent less than $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project was from January 2018–February 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Serial Scaling did an excellent job with SEO. As a result, our site started to show up organically more often in specific search terms. Additionally, the web pages and content they added improved the overall UX of our site. We also got new leads who became our clients as a direct result of Serial Scaling’s work.

How did Serial Scaling perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was outstanding. There was never a time where the team didn't properly manage expectations and stay on schedule. The team was always flexible with any delays on our side, too. We communicated using phone and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Serial Scaling was flexible and nimble, and they were keen to find solutions that fit our needs. They were also willing to get paid based on how successful the project was.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There isn’t much that they could have done differently from my perspective. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear about your goals upfront and set your expectations immediately. Basically, make sure you’re on the same page as the team.

I'm the marketing director at a small business review company. We provide in-depth research and reviews on finance, credit card, payment processing, point of sale, and any type of related software or services that small businesses need.

What challenge were you trying to address with Serial Scaling?

Serial Scaling works with us for on-page and SEO optimization. They also help us with technical audits, managing our defensive SEO, and consultations with Daniel (Founder).

What was the scope of their involvement?

Daniel provided consultation, proposed several scopes, and the one I chose is a package that includes SEO, technical audits, and looking at the health of our site’s defensive SEO strategies. On the optimization front, they manage our content strategy, and they also build SEO dashboards.

What is the team composition?

I generally work with 4–5 partners from Serial Scaling.

How did you come to work with Serial Scaling?

Daniel reached out to me on LinkedIn when I was managing a team of three content strategists who had zero background in SEO. I was doing a lot of hands-on training, and I needed the extra assistance of having an experienced SEO and content strategist to assist with training my team.  

How much have you invested with them?

We have invested somewhere between $50,000–$100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2020. Our initial service was for six months, so it ended, but we renewed the contract. We changed a few small details of what they were going to work on, so we're still currently working with them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In the first eight months of working with Serial Scaling, our organic sessions have increased by over 66% year-over-year (YoY). New users increased by over 64%. We also have over 3.4 million clicks from our organic traffic.

How did Serial Scaling perform from a project management standpoint?

We chose to integrate them into our project management tool, which is Redbooth. We also brought them into our Slack channels for scaling. I also meet with them weekly for our check-ins.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Daniel has a background in affiliate marketing, which is the way our site also makes money. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

The last bit of feedback I gave, which both teams are already incorporating, is that we should improve our communication. Both teams should be more comfortable when asking and answering questions. No one is really at fault, but this would be just a quality of life improvement.

Any advice for potential customers?

Be ready to implement the suggestions that they provide instead of just sitting on them. I've had to remove roadblocks in my company in order to implement some of the suggestions that they gave us. However, once we did implement them, we were able to see clear results.
