Menswear brand based in Malta. We ship internationally worldwide. I am the eCommerce and content team manager here at Gagliardi. Gagliardi specializes in men's tailoring clothing, however, the companies started out in manufacturing tailoring garments for many brands and it still does today.

We met Lukasz a few years ago and never looked back. He was speaking at a conference and there was something about the way he spoke which just showed this person has more than a skillset, he is really passionate about what he does - which proved to be a very important part of why he consistently delivers results.

Lukasz handles all things SEO for us. We strategize content creation for the year with the goal of improving the ranking for particular search terms and keywords. He handles all crawls, maintenance, redirects etc... anything SEO, Lukasz handles it.

What was the team composition?

It was always Lukasz working for us, sometimes he would get assistance from his partner, Parul who has also delivered some great google CPC campaigns for us to complement our SEO. We had tripled our traffic and doubled our sales during this period. SO much so that we extended the contract to a continuous basis. Lukasz also involved content writers who specialised in SEO whenever we needed to generated new content for our pages or blogs.

We started off with gaining a full understand of where we were and where we wanted to be. We then strategised a plan to break down the steps to reach the goals. Lukasz now works very closely with our entire team to develop their knowledge and understanding, as well as put in to practice the enhanced theory that is being explained. Each week we add further projects in to the mix and the results are very consistent, and positive.

We have a large number of projects running and being worked on. All are showing consistent and sustained improvement in results, such as visibility, inquiry levels, customer satisfaction, and trust. All-round positive benefits. We are also seeing many positive benefits from our own site with increased volumes of quality inquiries.

We have not invested in SEO for a very long time, our focus was more on social and paid advertising. When we started in 2007 we had very good SEO scores in Google, but competition is never a sleep. To regain our rankings we wanted to do this the right way and NO black hat stuff. The difficulty next to that is that we wanted to split ranking in The Netherlands and Belgium. Both sites www.gereedschappelijk.nl and www.gereedschappelijk.be are in the dutch language so we did not want to get penalized by Google for duplicate content. So texts and linking had to be done in a clever way so it was country specific.

Our team in the company is three, Lukasz for advice, Jennie as our editor in chief and 6 students rewriting texts.

In 1 year we regained most of the positions back in the top 10 and very important positions like mayor brands as Makita and DeWalt and HiKoki we managed to get from in the 10 and twenties top top 5 in google.nl en google.be

We had bi-weekly telephone conference calls in english (via Google Meet) as our team is operating all over The Netherlands, UK and Dubai. Next to that we had mutual logins to Semrush, Google sheets. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Lukasz Zelezny is eager to push your site and company to the tip, always looking for new possibilities and looking at ideas from different angles. I wish we would have met him 10 years earlier, then for sure we would be number 1. Doing SEO with Zelezny is proven to let your organic search turnover skyrocket. He helps, train, inform, and guide you by the hand with proven statistics. 

Are there any areas for improvement?

There is still tons of work to do, with changing algorithms and the enormous amount of products we carry, over 100,000. After this we will start fine-tuning. First we will move our shop from Magento 1 to Magento 2, which will be scary enough not to loose our positions.

Thanks to Lukasz and his work, for the first time we’ve sold out of spots in our day camp for the summer. He has substantially optimized our site performance, and our Google rank has been fantastic. Lukasz is very involved in the success of our business. He’s been super polite and unshakably positive throughout our engagement.

How did SEO.London perform from a project management standpoint?

We would have monthly meetings, where he would come all the way up to North London to see us. We’d spend a couple of hours to discuss our developments and brainstorm improvements. For the first three years, we would meet in person. Since Lukasz moved out of town, we’ve constantly been in touch through email and on the phone. If we emailed him about an issue, he would be extremely quick to respond with sensible suggestions. He’s a true professional.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Lukasz makes sure to know exactly what your business is so that he can help you to the best of his ability. We had trouble with a previous web developer, who was working remotely and rather uninvolved in our SEO efforts. Compared to that experience, Lukasz is extremely engaged with our work and has been enormously helpful.

They began with a meeting to discuss SEO ideas and an initial audit. From there, we worked out metrics of what we want to measure and which areas of the website we want to focus on. Then they went away and did research on keywords and completed a gap analysis of our competitors. They also reviewed the structure of our website and provided us a list of changes to make it more SEO friendly.
