What challenge were you trying to address with Rocky Soft Inc.?

We needed support for the development of a live streaming platform for PrecisionOS, enabling users to view, record, and replay VR surgical training sessions.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Rocky Soft Inc. provided web and mobile application development and UI/UX design for PrecisionOS’s live streaming VR surgical training platform. The scope of work focused on extending PrecisionOS’s VR training sessions beyond the headset by enabling live streaming, recording, and on-demand playback for remote viewers.

Rocky Soft Inc. led the end-to-end UI/UX design for both platforms, defining user flows, interfaces, and interaction patterns optimized for medical training use cases. Development responsibilities included building responsive web and mobile applications, implementing live video streaming, session recording, playback of archived content, and ensuring cross-platform performance and reliability.

Additional scope included technical planning, integration support, testing, and quality assurance to ensure a stable, production-ready delivery. Rocky Soft Inc. worked closely with Many Hats throughout execution and delivered the project on schedule.

Moreover, Rocky Soft Inc. was solely responsible for delivering several core features and modules within the PrecisionOS web and mobile applications from start to finish.

Rocky Soft Inc. owned the live streaming and session management modules, including the user interfaces and application logic for discovering live VR training sessions, joining active streams, managing recordings, and accessing on-demand playback. This responsibility covered the full lifecycle—requirements clarification, UI/UX design, frontend implementation, integration with streaming services, testing, and final delivery.

In addition, Rocky Soft Inc. delivered the recording and playback experience, ensuring users could reliably save sessions, organize past recordings, and replay important training content across devices. These modules were designed, built, tested, and production-ready under Rocky Soft Inc.’s ownership, with no handoff of partial work.

From design through deployment, Rocky Soft Inc. maintained full accountability for these features, ensuring they met usability, performance, and reliability standards and were delivered on time as fully functional components of the PrecisionOS platform.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Rocky Soft Inc. delivered the web and mobile streaming platform on time, providing PrecisionOS with a reliable solution for live VR training, recording, and playback. The platform expanded remote access to surgical training, performed consistently across devices, and was delivered as a production-ready solution that met our requirements and timeline.

Specific usage metrics such as adoption rates and session counts were tracked internally by PrecisionOS. From a delivery and impact standpoint, the platform successfully enabled live streaming, recording, and on-demand playback of VR surgical training sessions across web and mobile devices.

The new platform expanded training accessibility by allowing remote observers to participate without VR hardware and enabled teams to review recorded sessions for education and quality improvement. Stable performance, cross-platform availability, and reliable playback supported consistent use and positioned the platform for ongoing adoption as part of PrecisionOS’s training workflow.

The successful launch and continued use of these features demonstrated clear progress toward improving training reach, flexibility, and scalability.

Formal post-launch user surveys were managed by PrecisionOS. From a stakeholder and delivery perspective, feedback following launch was positive and focused on the platform’s reliability, ease of use, and the value of being able to access live and recorded VR surgical training sessions remotely.

Stakeholders highlighted the clarity of the user interface, the stability of live streaming, and the usefulness of recorded sessions for review and teaching. The successful rollout and continued use of the platform reinforced confidence in the solution and demonstrated its effectiveness in expanding training accessibility and supporting collaborative learning.

How did Rocky Soft Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Rocky Soft Inc.’s project management was structured, transparent, and effective. They communicated clearly, managed scope responsibly, and addressed issues early. All agreed deliverables were completed on time, and the project was delivered as planned without surprises.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What stood out most was Rocky Soft Inc.’s senior-led, hands-on approach. We worked directly with decision-makers who understood both the technical details and the business goals. Their clarity, accountability, and ability to deliver complex streaming functionality reliably and on time made them a standout partner.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were no major issues during the project. Communication was clear, expectations were well managed, and delivery stayed on track. As with any complex build, earlier visibility into some downstream requirements could have further streamlined decisions, but Rocky Soft Inc. adapted quickly and handled changes effectively.
