Ripple IT provides managed IT services for a specialty contractor. The team handles IT requests, including device onboarding and offboarding, identity management, email management, and cybersecurity training.
Ripple IT has cut the client's device setup turnaround time by over 75% and their test failure rate by 30%. The team is fast, addressing most tickets the same day and making progress within that timeframe. They communicate exceptionally well and are patient, caring, and attentive to detail.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO of Brooks Berry Haney & Associates, a specialty contractor in the Southeast US. We work on electrical work for highways, roadways, intersections, and airports.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Ripple IT?
I was having issues with my then current managed service provider (MSP) and had two projects that I needed to deal with. One of them was a file storage project, and the other was a device onboarding project. At the time, my current MSP wasn’t providing solutions or communication.
As a result, I looked for another company that specialized in these types of work and reached out to Ripple IT.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Ripple IT came on board to help me with those pinpoint projects. Since then, we’ve become a full client of Ripple IT and switched our entire MSP experience from our previous provider to them. We’ve completed several projects together, including network replacements. The team has come out to our office sites and worked on an analysis of the space, requirements, bandwidth, and networking requirements.
They’ve also suggested several different arrays of network equipment that would cover our needs. When I picked the level that I was comfortable with for each office, they came out to each office, installed the new equipment, and tested it to make sure it worked.
Ripple IT has also recommended hardware for my device onboarding and offboarding procedures. They’ve taken a look at how my devices are being used and analyzed whether or not the specs of the devices I’ve been buying are the best fit for the current usage. We’ve determined that I’ve been doing pretty good, but they’ve recommended a couple of different hardware packages that might take care of any issues with my current usage.
Additionally, we’ve changed our entire security stack based on their recommendations. We’ve changed a lot of the ways that we tie back into our main identity provider. They’ve helped us analyze our current situation, make recommendations, and support our current arrangement or help us implement the change and the new software and systems.
Ripple IT now handles all of our IT requests, from printer issues to mailbox hacks. They do device onboarding and offboarding, which includes research, procurement, setup, and retiring. We also review all of our new security stack, including identity management, email management, antivirus, and cybersecurity training. They also maintain our inventory management and help me reuse devices rather than always buying new ones.
What is the team composition?
I’ve worked with most of the team, including Jayesh, the COO; Melissa, the director of strategy; and Sean, the director of technical services. I’ve also worked with Caroline, who was my account manager when we hired them.
How did you come to work with Ripple IT?
I did a Google search and reached out to several different providers based in the US and the Southeast. Ripple IT is based in Atlanta and has a very good reputation, so I reached out to them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested around $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in March 2023, and our engagement is ongoing. We have several projects going on.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I couldn't be happier with Ripple IT's work. Our device setup turnaround time has been cut down by over 75%. What used to take me two weeks to do is now done in under a week. Our test failure has also cut down by about 30%. We’re still working on that, as our training is more tailored to my company.
Ripple IT has changed my life in two years. I can turn off my phone before I go to sleep rather than being on call 24/7. I’m also considering going on a vacation for the first time in 17 years.
How did Ripple IT perform from a project management standpoint?
Overall, Ripple IT has exceeded my expectations. They’re faster than any company I’ve ever worked with. Most tickets are addressed the same day, and at least some progress is made within that timeframe. We’ve used Asana together, and we communicate through Zoom, phone calls, and emails.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
I’d like to give a shout-out to the whole team. Everyone I’ve worked with has been amazing. For example, Sean has been fantastic, and Caroline has also been amazing.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I've worked in this field for 20 years, so I've worked with several service providers. Still, my experience with Ripple IT's entire team has been the best experience I've ever had. Their motto is “Clients First." They’re not performative, so they don't set expectations they can't meet. They care more about the person than the person’s problem. Ripple IT is exceptional at communicating and has buckets full of patience. They’re fantastic at explaining highly technical issues in ways that people can understand.
The communications and relationships and Ripple IT’s attention to detail in maintaining those things are something completely unique in my experience with MSPs. I know that these people care about me and whether or not my day is going well. All of the technical issues and projects get taken care of because they’re exceptional at that as well.
The key to being an employee at Ripple IT is to care and have empathy. If you’re not that type of person, it won’t be a good fit. If you think you can fake it, it won’t work because they legitimately care about people. I suggest anyone who wants to work with them take a hard, honest look at themselves.
Are there any areas they could improve?

I haven’t come across a single thing they could improve on. Ripple IT has been the best thing that’s happened to me in my career.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
No.
