A medical solutions company hired Qubika (formerly Moove It) to build out the UI components of their solution. The team originally worked on the frontend, but was brought on again for the backend. They use Python.
Though the app has yet to launch, internal stakeholders are impressed with Qubika's (formerly Moove It's) work, which has earned them a contract extension. The team is composed of motivated and talented developers, who work to efficiently deliver excellent solutions. Customers can expect a successful engagement.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a project manager at Exo Imaging, a medical solutions company that makes handheld ultrasound devices with a cloud platform. It’s a solution specifically for the point of care emergency room.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Moove It?
We needed help with development for our solution.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We wanted to build and deploy the interface for the ultrasound transducers on the iPhone. The scope expanded to provide the UI and frontend for the web app version. Now we expanded the contract for Moove It to work on the backend as well.
They’re mostly using Python and Apple developer kits. We’re going to work together for at least a few more months until the platform is released. After that, the contract will be for more maintenance and new features.
What is the team composition?
For the web, we’re working with one technical leader and one developer. For mobile, we have one developer. There’s one project manager leading the project on their side.
For the backend, there are three people. There’s one QA person and another developer who's mostly just coordinating the backend work.
How did you come to work with Moove It?
I wasn’t here when they were hired originally, but I can speak to why we’re continuing to work with them. Their work ethic and processes are really good.
They’re strong in providing documentation and they have a good methodology, and their work is clean compared to the other contractor company.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in September 2018 and the work is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re planning to release in October and so far, we’re on track. They’re really patient. Sometimes they have to rework some things because we’re improving what we’re working on. It’s difficult to give metrics but the problem isn’t on Moove It’s side, it’s because we’re changing a lot on our side.
How did Moove It perform from a project management standpoint?
The project manager is really responsive, organized, and on top of things. We put in the request and she comes back the day after. It’s a pleasure working with her. Communication is really easy. They’re super responsive.
We use Jira for bug tracking. The way Moove It describes everything is really thorough. We always know where we’re going and what they’re doing.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They can easily bring someone on board who is up to speed really quickly. Their developers are really experienced. When they bring on someone new, like when we decided to add the backend work, they came on board and added a significant contribution early on. It didn’t take weeks before they were making progress.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing I’d have them improve at this point. Most of the rework they’re doing is because we’re changing our mind.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Don’t hesitate to work with them. They will help to guide you in an area that you’re not that experienced. They will give their recommendations but they will do as you wish.

Working alongside internal technical resources, Qubika (formerly Moove It) augmented a leadership coaching company's development team to create an interpersonal assessment platform. They focused heavily on data visualization.
Committed to collaboration and fotering a close partnership, the team enabled the company to launch and monetize their product. Their process of bringing the product vision to life was seamless through consistatnly communication through Slack and a comprehensive, focused project management team.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We’re a startup that provides a psychological and interpersonal assessment for leaders in organizations to examine their professional networks. I’m the founder and CEO.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Moove It?
We had the vision and mission of our product worked out. We needed augmented software development help to accelerate the build of the product.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
The first phase involved building the assessment infrastructure on the backend. One developer and data science specialist worked with us on that. Now, in the second phase of the project, we’re aiming to get the UI configured and finalized for the launch of the product.
The design process was quite iterative. We have a CTO and designer in-house, and they had a vision in mind for pulling the development off. Many of the smaller, logistical decisions were left up to them in the development phase. They would often recommend different ways of effectively achieving our goals. Essentially, they took our requirements and made suggestions for improvement as they built out the product.
One of the solution’s core functions is a network visualization that renders quickly in the UI and browser. It took considerable data science work to ensure that this was handled correctly.
What is the team composition?
There were three people managing the project. Mike (Technical Architect) was our project manager, and we also worked with Lucas (Technical Architect) and Ignacio (Full Stack Developer). Mike managed the team and made sure they were on track throughout the development. The COO also checked in on us periodically to make sure everything was going well.
How did you come to work with Moove It?
Our CTO worked with them in the past and had a very positive experience. They’re able to undertake a meaningful staff augmentation, where they fill in the gaps and want to make our business successful. That’s ultimately what led to the decision for us.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $50,000–$100,000 on their work.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in November 2019, and our teams are still collaborating. We’ve finished most of the requirements but are still working on small bug fixes.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Before working with them, we didn’t have a product up and running. They made that possible through developing, and we now have active customers on the product. Getting paid customers on a product is one of the best successes a software company can have.
How did Moove It perform from a project management standpoint?
They easily plugged into our meeting cadence and Slack channel, so they really felt like a part of the team. If we had deadlines, they worked hard to meet them in their iterative process. They staffed us with the right people at the right times. When new people were introduced to the development, it was always a seamless transition.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The team was eager to be embedded in the team and work alongside us to solve our problems. They act and feel like part of our team, working to create a true partnership.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could offer us some expertise and suggestions surrounding product management. That would be really helpful to us.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be clear in communications and let them be a part of your team.

Qubika (formerly Moove It) developed plug and play APIs for a SaaS company. Working in a short frame, they identified the tech stack, coding languages, and database solutions to deliver an excellent solution for the client.
The client is happy, and the system is effective and supports millions of calls. Qubika (formerly Moove It) earned this contract, impressing their partners with their skill. The team always delivered on time and provided regular reports. They were trusted to execute independently.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the QA manager of a SaaS company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Moove It?
We were tasked with building a plug and play APIs in a very tight window. We had to service millions of calls with a very high throughput. We brought Moove It on during the planning phase of the project and they worked with us through execution and delivery.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They received the same scope of work that we were sent from the client. We needed to come up with the strategy and they executed.
For the initial phase of this project, they were responsible for delivering one possible solution based on our requirements. Their deliverables included potential stacks, languages, database solutions, build solutions. They identified the tech stack required to execute our vision and then they were able to deliver a timeline that would satisfy our customer needs.
Not only did they design the architecture for the solution, they helped write the code and build each component along the way.
What is the team composition?
The biggest team we worked with had 5 engineers. They were able to upscale and downscale as necessary.
How did you come to work with Moove It?
Our management team was looking for an engineering team that could execute this, and I was brought on after they were hired. Management believes in a meritocracy. I think they set them up against our previous service provider on a project and Moove It blew it out of the water.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $700,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from November 2018–September 2019.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our goal was an architecture that could support 2 million calls per day with a throughput for 160 per second, but they delivered a system that supported a throughput of 1,000 per second. This was a crucial project for us—before working with Moove It, we had the potential to lose the customer, but Moove It helped us preserve that contract. Now we’re working on a new phase of the project, making it scalable for more customers.
How did Moove It perform from a project management standpoint?
They always delivered on time. Their management was top notch. I really connected with the team members I interacted with, and developed a personal and professional relationship with them. I can go to them for opinions outside the scope of their work.
They were tasked with constant reports and worked with us even though they were in a different time zone. That often meant working late nights or early mornings to ensure on-time delivery. Despite being an overseas team, their English was phenomenal.
We communicated with them using Jira Atlassian Suite, Slack, and Smartsheets. We had a project manager on our team as well that drove timelines. They gave Moove It tasks which were disseminated from the top level.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their ability to execute without constant check-ins really sets them apart. They became so integrated within our organization, that they felt like part of our team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I would be remiss to find something that they don’t do well.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Let them do their work. At one point, our project manager was trying to do daily meetings, and the bureaucracy got in their way. Just trust them to get the job done for you.
