I’m the founder of a family management tool and application that helps parents plan, manage, and ultimately register for summer camps across multiple children.

What challenge were you trying to address with ProCoders?

I needed help with UI/UX design for the web application. I had an initial set of designs that were in development, but they needed to be refreshed before the website went fully live.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They took our initial set of wireframes and turned them into logo designs, interaction design, color schemes, and workflows. They posted everything in Figma, and we collaborated back and forth in order to arrive at the final product.

The functionalities of the app itself are relatively standard, so they were able to work from some examples that I provided to them in order to create their recommendations.

What is the team composition?

There was an overall account lead provided who was in charge of my liaison with them, as well as a UX/UI designer.

How did you come to work with ProCoders?

I was referred to them to build the backend of my site originally, but they were not in line with my budget at the time. They reached back out later on to ask if I needed anything else, and at that point, I had the UI in mind and ended up accepting their proposal for that part of the work.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost of the project was about $1,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We signed the scope of work and wrapped up the project all within the month of March 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since the project just ended, we haven’t had a chance to collect user feedback yet, but I was really satisfied with the designs that they provided in the end. At first, their designer was asking me to make a lot of decisions about how to organize everything, but after providing some feedback that I preferred them to go with what they thought was best, the whole operation went a lot more smoothly.

I didn’t feel like I was holding them up, and they were able to go with their instincts and just provide me with a few options in the end, which worked out really well.

How did ProCoders perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project lead was super engaged the entire time. He always checked in with me and pushed me to make decisions, so I thought that he was really good about staying on top of things and making sure that everybody had what they needed to keep the process moving. Their communication skills were really good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The level of engagement from their account lead was really impressive and helped make the project more enjoyable. They were quick to put together a proposal in the first place and quick to finish the work as well because of the level of consistent communication that flowed back and forth between us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think they could really have done anything differently. I was very much leaning on them, so I suppose more options could always have been useful, but the expertise that they provided in the end was more than sufficient.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have all the information that you need for the engagement as fleshed out as you can so that they have as much to work off of as possible. That, as well as deciding on ideal times to work together given the time difference, would be my main point of advice.

We provide localization and post-production services to major OTT and VOD, broadcasting stations and Hollywood studios. Operating in 30 different countries with over 1,300 employees. I'm the project manager for Engineering & Technologies Team.

For what projects/services did your company hire ProCoders?

Our proprietary subtitling software was due for renewal and we needed a team that we can entrust to improve the UI and UX design so that it can be rebranded and packaged.

What were your goals for this project?

We had to build our software from bottom up with new framework and design. Because this is a tool that is being centrally used in our business it was crucial that the job was done quickly and accurately.

How did you select this vendor?

We used online services to interview candidates. Of the candidates interviewed ProCoders were able to understand and analyze the requirements quickly so that we can get moving quickly. Quick and concise communication was the key deciding factor for the consideration.

They helped us develop and publish the front end designs and optimize some of the key features. The project begin by discussing the design and concept. Once the requirements were understood, production begin and constant communication happened every few days throughout development.

What was the team composition?

The project proceeded with a compact team with just the right amount of members and skillsets. We had the CEO helping us overlooking the project personally along with the developer in direct communication.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We were able to launch our software almost immediately after the job was done. Everything proceeded earlier than scheduled and we proceeded to contract other projects with the agency. Our engagement was certainly impeccable and was more than what we had expected.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project required almost no supervision. After requirements were discussed, deadlines were decided and met. No language barrier was present and though there was some time difference, it did not hinder the velocity of the project because ProCoders could be reached almost at any time of the day.

All communication was done through Skype and minimum communication was required because they had deep understanding of what needed to be done.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Some of the requirements were not complete and part of the project required the team to get creative. They were able to find solutions and motivated to do so. It really is difficult to find an agency with as much passion for their work as ProCoders.

No there were no areas for improvement in particular.

Our communication has been very good enough. Developers are highly skilled and have a very good work ethic and morale. Moreover, we even got replies on weekends. We had weekly meetings and communicated via email, online videos numerous times a day, so we always know what’s going on.

By asking a lot of questions, they earnestly try to understand the root of the problem and come up with the most effective solution. We also really appreciate their capacity and transparency.

I’m the founder of a startup that’s developing an online transportation tool. People can use our platform to find out vehicle arrival times and look into smart city traffic stops.

We went with them to develop the server and web components.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ProCoders developed the web portion using React.js and Node.js. Their team developed some of that logic while implementing parts on the server side. The platform has logic around smart stops, and each version has a different design. ProCoders handled routing and web design as well for the mobile version.

We worked with three people from their team.

How did you come to work with ProCoders?

I found ProCoders online. I asked a few friends about the company, thinking about their level of expertise and technical specialists. I chose them based on this information.

How much have you invested with them?

ProCoders had a good price relative to the Ukrainian market.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with ProCoders on the business analysis part around June 2019. The project ended in October.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their work quality was great. The project was extended because we changed parts of the logic and design a few times.

How did ProCoders perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management standpoint, their team was good. They were always in touch with us, taking care of any new features or functionalities. Although we didn’t encounter many, they fixed all the bugs that they came across.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The people on their team produce quality work. They can handle different project and product types for their clients. The team at ProCoders exhibits a high level of soft skills. We understood each other.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. Everything was good, and I don’t have any particular recommendations for them. I’ve outsourced projects to other developers, but their company is perhaps the best one in terms of development and communication.

I’m the COO of Divebooker. We offer a travel booking platform, and we're working with an industry partner to build a similar system for a British tour operator.

ProCoders was our web development subcontractor.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our partner had an outdated website that didn’t fulfill their business needs. They wanted to launch a new version that was integrated with their booking ERP. We were looking to create a solution for local and international markets that we can build into their internal systems as well as external CRMs and marketing automation systems.

ProCoders handled front- and backend development, QA, and deployment. We used Laravel PHP on the backend and Vue.js on the frontend. The platform also uses APIs.

We worked with 2–3 people from the ProCoders team.

We’d used ProCoders on a previous project. They had expertise in the travel domain and experience in building booking systems with various integrations with external systems. As a result, we decided to involve ProCoders in this project.

The project with ProCoders ran between February–August 2018.

I’m quite satisfied with the work we did with ProCoders. They had a professional attitude throughout, and we’re happy with the collaboration.

We handled Project management on our side. We used Jira as a project management tool, Confluence as a knowledge repository, and Bitbucket as a version control system.

ProCoders had expertise in the travel domain, the technology stack we were using, and solving similar issues.

I’m really satisfied with their work—I can’t think of any issues or improvement points.

ProCoders is focused on delivering results, and I can recommend using their team. I advise consulting with them to find the most effective solution, rather than just telling them what to do. That way, the customer can leverage their expertise and get better results. They’re not only developers; they are also involved in the strategy of building a product from a technological perspective.

Their ability to work in agile, and be super flexible. Their recommendations on certain problems were essential to completing the tasks on time.

They were pretty proactive, I haven't found a particular area for improvement.

I am the founder & CEO of itour. itour is a tour portal that allows finding and booking tickets for journeys! We provide resultative matching and meta-searching services.

For what projects/services did your company hire ProCoders?

ProCoders delivered a complex piece of software for a tour operator company. They built a powerful custom search engine to tour operators, the engine compares search queries with tour operators' proposals online swiftly.

What were your goals for this project?

The main goal we had for that period of product development was increasing the number of clients and travel vendors inside our search engine.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We were about to join forces with another tour agency and they gave us advice. That agency was going to develop a massive search engine for tourists. ProCoders company was their partner for that moment and we kickstarted development right away. We had a number of meetings with the engineering team, evaluated the scope of work and agreed to start.

We want ITour to become the most convenient tour portal to choose a tour for people in our region. We were seeking a system that allows searching and matching the most suitable combinations with tickets, hotels, and transfers. Along with that, the system was supposed to support the ability to sort results by price, flights linking time and hotel ranking. For reaching this goal we needed to set up a bunch of APIs with booking tickets and hotel services, rental car services, etc.

What was the team composition?

Both Back-End and Front-End teams were working on our project development. Back-End: 1 team lead/lead developer, 2 senior PHP developers and few middle Back-End developers. Front-End: 1 lead developer + 2 Angular developers and 3 or 4 HTML/CSS coders

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We were building the system with ProCoders long enough, in the first place because of the necessity to connect more than 120 vendors to the complex search engine software. Personally I was always in touch with the software engineering team and we're testing all the new features. Regarding the working model, we picked Time & Material. That was the best option to reach flexibility and the ability to stop development at the end of every month, determine the priority of tasks and continue development.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The workflow was quite efficient. We didn't miss deadlines set up at the very beginning of the development and delivered new features on time. The communication with the Team Lead was taking place on Skype and he kept me posted regarding the workflow points.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Working with ProCoders I appreciated that the team is always open to a client. They are willing to consider the client's suggestions regarding product engineering, analyze them and get back with arguments to perform or not to add something to the scope of work. The same thing about the ideas to improve the quality of a software product, ProCoders suggest their view to compare with your idea.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Since we are based in the same time-zone and we speak the same language with the ProCoders team, we were not having any tangible issues or obstacles in communication or product development. I can not find any point to suggest that they improve it, everything is well done on the high professional level.

I’m the founder and CEO of Dryft—a fitness company. In addition to a physical studio, we have a website and an app.

What challenge were you trying to address with ProCoders.

We needed to build a brand-new website and app from scratch.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

ProCoders built a custom app and website, which they integrated into a third-party backend to support all of our scheduling. Allowing me to make content changes easily, their team also integrated the website with Contentful.

Their team helped to design both platforms, implementing the UI/UX our team built. Using a hybrid approach, the app was built for iOS and Android. While our team provided the wireframes, ProCoders built all of the platforms’ functionalities. They created static pages, account building capabilities, and a booking system; users can search, book, and buy credits for classes. After booking a class, a pop-up will appear that lets individuals schedule a Lyft or Scoop to take them to their class.

ProCoders also built a Dryft section, which allows users to follow other users. It’s not a social, but a motivation feature for people who would like to work out at Dryft. Users can follow their own stats too such as how many times you’ve worked out, the last time you worked out, and streaks.

I worked with Oleg (CEO, ProCoders) who has acted as a project manager.

Another development firm recommended ProCoders. After interviewing their team, I liked their approach to business.

How much have you invested with them?

We started collaborating in January 2019, and continue to work on updates.

So far, we’ve spent about $50,000 on the project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’ll continue to work with them because they provide quality services and results. Since we’re a new business, I don’t have any numbers attributable to ProCoders yet. We do have about 2000 people who have created accounts on our website, which could be attributed to marketing and promotion.

How did ProCoders perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve used Slack and GitLab. ProCoders managed the project extremely well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

ProCoders has been the best development firm I’ve worked with. Their team’s overall responsiveness has been fantastic including at night and on weekends. Despite there being a time zone difference, they’re able to deal with urgent issues. If we notice there’s a bug, someone on their team is always available to provide a solution. They’re excellent.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing specific to ProCoders.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Working with a development shop, it’s necessary to be clear about deliverables. It’s important to scope out the project, have realistic timelines, and estimates.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Founder and CEO at a commercial entertainment startup FindWhatYouLike. Our product helps users to find people around the globe who share their taste in music, discover their playlists and transfer them for free to the music services of your choice (Spotify, Deezer, SoundCloud and YouTube).

For what projects/services did your company hire ProCoders?

We needed app development that would support a matching platform to bring together compatible people, along with thousands of available listings.

What were your goals for this project?

The most important thing that we wanted to get was a cross-platform mobile application which works with Deezer, Spotify, SoundCloud and YouTube. Also, we needed a website for our startup.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

They were referred by a mutual acquaintance. Founder and CEO of ProCoders Oleg Kopachovets used to work at Germany as a CTO. I am living in Germany and when I was looking for a strong developers team who can realize my idea, my friend told me about Oleg and his team in Ukraine.

When I reached out Oleg we had a conversation with him and CTO of his company about their software development experience. Guys questioned me about my startup.

I chose them because they have a lot of software development experience and Oleg plays to music by himself, so I made sure he was really interested in my project.

When we reached an agreement guys have initiated the daily meetings via Skype to make a Statement of Work and control all of the development process. During ProCoders were building a Core of application my own team finished the design of UI/UX and we started development!

After a few iterations, we have MVP with key functionality. We tested it, guys got my feedback and continued the development process.

What was the team composition?

The team: we have a senior front-end/mobile (Angular/Ionic) dev, senior back-end (Rails) dev, a few guys, which worked under the leadership of seniors and project manager.

Also, I was always online with CEO Oleg and he was like a team lead at my project. We worked by Time&Material model with 2 weeks iterations so I could make any edits during the development.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

I got a mobile application for both platforms (Android and iOS) which works fast and have a user-friendly interface. We reached over than 2.000 downloads in both app stores. I must notice that I got the application for both operating systems for the half of price in comparison with the native applications. And it still has good quality.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

As I wrote, their CEO Oleg was always online and I could make a call with him in no time. He was also patient in explaining things in layman’s terms. Lead developers speak English fluently so we didn’t have any issue with communications.

We used Skype for daily meetings, but sometimes we had chat via Slack or Zoom, cause Skype had some connection issues. I must notice that I came to guise’s office a couple of time and they were very hospitable. ProCoders have very fun developers and work atmosphere.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive thing out ProCoders was their understanding of the project. Most of their employees play musical instruments. When I came to their place I saw a lot of music equipment: synthesizer, acoustic guitar, drums, bass guitars and else.

They really understand what the music is and perhaps it was a way how did they implement my application so great. About the tech part – they are top-notch developers with great skills.

Guys can recommend you the most relevant technology stack for your project taking into account popularity and stability of technology, developers availability, code reusability and else. I shall come to ProCoders for development of any mobile application.

Are there any areas for improvement?

As a Founder of a startup, I want to get my product as soon as possible and I think everything could be done faster. But it would be appropriate to keep it in mind that we have an SoW from the start and guys stuck with the deadline.
