They help me achieve what I had envisioned for the last 25 years. Catalina’s Bake Shop transitioned into Catalina’s Sweet Atelier as part of a rebranding strategy. The shift from "bake shop" to "sweet atelier" reflects a move towards a more refined, artisanal approach to their offerings. The word "atelier," meaning a workshop or studio, emphasizes craftsmanship, creativity, and the artistic nature of baking. This transition likely aligns with a focus on elevating the brand's image and highlighting a more specialized, high-quality experience for customers who appreciate unique and beautifully crafted sweets. The rebranding may have been intended to position the business as more than just a bakery, but as a destination for gourmet or custom desserts.

Yes. They deliver everything on time. They work hand on hand with me throughout the project and helped me overcome my fears. They assist me in the design of the bags, boxes and throughout the remodeling of the front of the store, van wrapping and more. Eve though I had hired a company prior to meeting Panamera for my new website, they oversaw the development of the website in order to align with the brand.

The way they made me feel at home from day one. It felt as if I was working with a close friend. From the beginning they had a deep understanding of my unique vision, they studied the market, and tailored their services to meet my specific needs for my business.

I’m the CEO of PlantStrong. We offer food products, coaching services, and an online meal planner. We also do online and in-person events, and I have a podcast that’s one of the top 10 in the nutrition category in the US.

What challenge were you trying to address with Panamera?

We had a 10-year relationship with Whole Foods stores; we had a licensing arrangement with them and were branded as a food brand in their portfolio. When the relationship expired, we took the brand and pivoted it to PlantStrong. We needed new graphic design work on all our latest product offerings across our whole ecosystem. Basically, we decided to align everything in our plan, including our events, podcasts, and online meal planner subscriptions.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Panamera has been instrumental in helping us redesign our logo, branding, and messaging. They’ve done all the packaging updates on our products, from cereals, granolas, and pizza crust kits to broths, chilis, stews, and popcorn. Moreover, they’ve spent many hours working on our mission, who we are, who’s our audience, and how we message the demographics we’re shooting for. They’ve walked us through that whole process.

We’ve worked with three people: Damian (Creative Art Director), Kenneth (Partner & Strategic Director), and Chesco (Partner & Creative Director). Kenneth is incredible at talking us through projects, and Chesco is very punctual and great with design work.

Another agency worked with them and referred them.

How much have you invested with them?

We have them on a monthly retainer. We’ve spent $92,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in June 2020, and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we started with them, we were in zero locations. Now, our products are in over 2,000 different stores, including Whole Foods, Sprouts, Kroger, HEB, public stores, and natural food stores. We obviously have a great product, but now it’s also attractive on the outside. We initially wanted to rebrand because we thought the old brand was just stale and stagnated. They’ve created a beautiful corporate image with vibrant colors, a relevant logo, and messaging.

All in all, Panamera has an excellent eye for what will pop on the shelf or online. If you look at our packaging, you can see they’ve done a brilliant job identifying the hero ingredients we want our customers to see. Also, the brand story and mission statement are in the back of the package, and it’s done in a classy, attractive way.

How did Panamera perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is excellent. I’m not involved with them in the daily tasks, but our head of product strategy and design is. She speaks with Panamera at least once a week and communicates through emails around three times a week.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re a small, passionate operation. They genuinely love what they do and are pretty selective about who they work with. Overall, they make sure they’re bringing something that’ll make a difference to the world.

Additionally, they have several outstanding people on their team. They have many strengths in different areas.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, whenever we have an issue, we just hop on the phone and talk it through. They couldn’t be more respectful or cordial.

If they’re willing to take you on, they’ll give you the most that they can.

What challenge were you trying to address with Panamera?

We needed help with branding. We had multiple products with different identities, and we needed to streamline our brand in a unique way. Our goal was for the branding to help with our go-to-market strategy.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had our initial call with Panamera, and then they presented their process and learned about our company culture and approach. They took us through several exercises to better understand our brand, what it stands for, and how adventurous we were willing to be. Then, they made suggestions based on our feedback from each exercise.

Panamera has essentially rebuilt our entire brand ecosystem aside from our name. They focused the whole branding strategy around marketing. They revamped our website and rebranded our logos, marketplaces, and products. Additionally, they created new decks for our games.

Our account manager is our main point of contact, but we consistently interact with several team members, including Chesco (Brand Consultant) and three others.

We were about to partner with another Israel-based company, but we wanted a partner who was more local to us in Miami. We did a Google search, reviewed the first few results, and set up a call with Panamera. I was initially reluctant, but Panamera won me over during our follow-up call because they showed us what it would be like to work with them and their plan impressed me.

We have invested roughly $250,000 in the partnership with Panamera.

We began working with Panamera in January 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve seen instant positive results from their branding efforts. Panamera really hit the mark, and our clients have told us they love the new look. They built a brand that enables users to experience our company the way we envisioned, which helps us sell products and services.

When we started working with Panamera, we had no website, brand, or marketing; we just had the technology we had been developing. Panamera took everything we worked towards and successfully created a face for the brand. They developed unique branding that perfectly fits our needs and allows us to address our go-to-market strategy. 

Now that they’ve taken us through a whole branding experience, we have a defined brand, and everything is live. We're leaving the engagement open-ended because we plan to engage Panamera for many more projects and partnerships based on our business needs.

How did Panamera perform from a project management standpoint?

They have been excellent from a project management standpoint. In life, we rarely get what we pay for, but that’s not the case with Panamera. They're a great team overall. Panamera has given us exactly what we need. Their prices are worth it for such a positive experience.

We noticed they were different from the first call, and we were lucky to get a second call with them. Panamera has been professional throughout our partnership; they constantly deliver what they promise on time. They are effective communicators, and we use Slack, WhatsApp, and email to maintain contact.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Panamera walked us through a bespoke experience, and everything they do is above board from a marketing and branding perspective. They offer an impressive process that sets them apart from competitors. 

We initially had a rough vision for the rebrand, and Panamera took us through a very robust, unique experience to determine how the rebrand would unfold based on our vision. They did a lot of work upfront to define the brand’s personality and the culture we were trying to build. They assured us that if we remained open-minded throughout the experience, they would deliver results, and they have. Their process is incredible, which has led to equally incredible results.

I have nothing Panamera could improve on.

My advice is to go into the branding process with an open mind. Allow Panamera to walk you through the experience they have developed because it works. You may not end up where you thought you would be, but the result will always be better, and having an open mind will help Panamera get you results much faster.

What were your goals for this project?

To create a stunning brand that is visually captivating, true to our brand values, and that is "timeless". Something that is unique, differentiated, and flexible to bend towards other product offerings.

SOLUTION

How did you select Panamera?

I interviewed 15 firms and ultimately selected Panamera primarily because their quality of work on their previous projects was impressive. They had experience with D2C retail products, and were clearly capable of creating modern, attention-grabbing brands.

Their price was also competitive, and I had a good time speaking with the company's directors.

We had weekly calls to check in on status of the project. The initial calls were data gathering, where I provided essential info for Panamera's review. They then picked up the baton from there, and refined the brand through further research, drafting of market positioning and brand identities, and multiple iterations on the designs.

What was the team composition?

I worked with 2 team members: Kenny & Chesco. Kenny was more involved early on from a market strategy and branding perspective, whereas Chesco became more involved as we got into the nitty gritty of designing the brand itself.

Yes, the company produced a beautiful brand design for our bottle and packaging. These are the designs that we will be going to market with, and building our brand on top of.

Fantastic. Very smooth and open communication lines. I was kept closely updated as we moved along!

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their quality of work is outstanding! They care about your company and project deeply, and are not just there to "get the job done". They invest lots of energy into your project, and treat it as their own. It's been a complete pleasure working with the Panamera team.

Not really -- I just suggest that they add more offerings to their business so that they can support companies more holistically beyond brand development.

I’m the founder and owner of Alara+Zane, which is a family-concept retail shop. We have a retail boutique for kids and a play place.

Panamera helped with the development of our brand, including the logo and colors. Their team also supported branding in the architecture such as window graphics and vinyl graphics. They created the brand book and a pitch deck that verbalized our mission statement and concept. Their team developed packaging ideas, greeting cards, and social media templates. They also built our website from scratch. It’s on Shopify and the backend is WordPress.

I worked with Francesco (Partner & Creative Director) and Kenneth (Partner & Strategic Director).

How did you come to work with Panamera?

I did a lot of research into branding agencies. I first started searching local agencies but couldn’t find anyone local that fit my needs. I then did some nationwide searches and Panamera came up in those searches. I interviewed them in addition to three other agencies before selecting my top two and requesting proposals. I chose Panamera because I liked our conversations and their presentations and styles. They also promptly communicated.

How much have you invested with them?

I spent somewhere between $50,000–$60,000 on their services.

We worked together between June 2019–April 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their team was flexible, adapting based on my requirements. As we created the brand, we went through several iterations of colors and animal characters. They were receptive to feedback and listened to my vision for the company. Their team delivered on my visions better than I could even imagine.

How did Panamera perform from a project management standpoint?

They did a great job using Asana, which documented our agreed-upon project deadlines. In the beginning, we had a call once a week and then it moved to every two weeks. As this was such a large scope, we had several deadlines. They met every deadline.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Certainly, they exceeded our expectations with their creativity and their execution of the brand. In this age, we’re behind our phones or computers. However, I prefer talking on the phone because it makes everything more efficient. They were receptive to impromptu phone calls and worked well via email.

No, I don’t think they could improve.

Be open and transparent about your business needs and vision. They do a great job of collecting that information and creatively executing it.

Their project management was good. They were able to translate our ideas into the products they delivered. Since they are located here in Miami, we were pretty close and we met once every 1–2 weeks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They do graphic design very well.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They lacked content when it came to the development of the website. We had to provide all the information to them. The expectation was hiring a company that would create content for us and not the other way around. So, they need to improve in that area.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Panamera refreshed my logo as well as the presentation of my bakery including our packaging and store. Their team provided a brand book and designed what’s on our delivery vehicles.

We have an open kitchen, so their team put my brand colors on the refrigerators. They also put those colors on the glass at the front of the store as well as in the space where customers visit.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

People loved the results, telling me that our boxes and store are beautiful. Our employees enjoy working in an environment with nice colors. The store feels completely different.

Chesco understood that I didn’t want to change our whole look because we offer homemade desserts. In the past, I worked with people who only wanted to sell me their service and didn’t know my business. I liked that Panamera understood the point of my business.

How did Panamera perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated via phone and meet once every two weeks. We scheduled time to meet through Google Calendar. Chesco was always on time.

We had appointments to plan the project and Chesco followed up on tasks. For example, if didn’t like the design of our boxes, he followed up with the people who produced them. He was educated, professional, and always had something nice to say.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were professional, fast, and on point. Panamera always delivered results on time. Our partnership was one of the best work experiences that I’ve had and one of the best decisions that I’ve made. I always recommend Panamera because of their professional work, which is out of the norm here.

No, Panamera was professional.

People ask about our rebrand and why we chose Panamera. I always say that I liked the way they worked. They were on time, so take advantage of quality.
