I’m the CFO of Equipta Limited, an e-commerce platform. We sell new equipment and parts of that equipment, catering to the needs of smaller businesses and construction companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with Owebest Technologies?
We hired Owebest Technologies to revamp our whole e-commerce website, which we launched in 2019.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Owebest Technologies has revamped our discontinued e-commerce website, aiming to enhance its look and feel and speed, using the latest software technology, including Laravel. The team has helped us with some of the design work post-development, and they’ve continued to make improvements to the website. We’ve added AI search capabilities, filters, and features to compare different products and technical information. Owebest Technologies has also done a lot of backend improvements, including looking at the traffic on our website and the whole customer journey.
Owebest Technologies has also built an SEO report for us. The team has also looked into our AWS expenses and recommended a more cost-effective configuration. Owebest Technologies is also helping us with security to ensure our website is secure.
We’ve launched the website on the summer of 2022, but the team continues to work on it, still handling our Canada AI search capability and multi-currency website. We’re also expanding our website, which is centered in the UK, to 44 European countries. The team is currently working on backend development to get more reporting out of the data we generate based on the website traffic.
What is the team composition?
We are working with close to five people from Owebest Technologies, including a business analyst, two PHP web developers, a senior AI developer, and a database administrator. We also have access to their founders, who are not 100% involved in the project, but are consistently available when any issues arise or we need recommendations in order to make the best choices for our business.
How did you come to work with Owebest Technologies?
We have a back office in Jaipur, India, and we found Owebest Technologies through word of mouth in the Jaipur area. We also received quotations from a couple of different vendors and had face-to-face discussions with them. Based on those discussions and the feedback we received from their previous clients, we ended up picking Owebest Technologies.

We’ve spent between $40,000–$50,000.

We have been working together since March 2022, and our engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re overall happy and very satisfied with Owebest Technologies’ services. We’ve seen a significant improvement in the speed of our website. The website security has also improved, and we haven’t had any attacks. The traffic on our website has improved quite a bit.
When the team has worked on our AWS expenses, our AWS cost has come down by almost 50%. Owebest Technologies’ reports are accurate, and we haven’t encountered any significant issues or glitches in the testing phases.
How did Owebest Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
Owebest Technologies is very good at keeping their time commitments. The team is also very proactive in communication. We have weekly calls to discuss the projects, milestones, and progress. We also have monthly meetings with the two co-founders to set milestones. We use Excel sheets to detail everything and MongoDB for database management. We're also upfront when something isn't working out, saying, 'This isn't going as planned, and we might need to adjust or make some changes.' For example, when we requested something, we realized that sticking with the exact same format could complicate things, so we decided to alter the course. In terms of time management, I think they're quite effective.
Owebest Technologies doesn’t just bring the problem; they also bring solutions, including the pros and cons of each option. This helps us figure out the best solution for our business. The whole is great. The two founders at Pentecost are fantastic partners for our business. They don’t just treat us as one of their vendors; they truly see us as part of their team, working alongside us to help our business succeed. In addition to them, there's Malu, a senior developer. He's been incredibly accessible, even on weekends, whenever there's a critical issue on the website. They're always willing to hop on a quick call and fix any problems, no matter the time.

What I really love about Owebest Technologies is the interest they take in our business. They really want us to be successful, and they bring the right solutions for our business, even if they're not the best solutions for them. I feel that they have our best interest in mind. The image would be geo-located and displayed on a regional map showing where various marine sightings had been captured, filtered by species. All images are to be curated to ensure compliance to user terms and conditions of use, and then published on the app. Other users could then like or comment on each posting.

The team then provided a plan to begin working, the first step was making the Admin Panel that will be the main heart of the system. The tech used was Magento for the admin panel. After that was in progress we began working on the website design and app designs to develop as native apps. Once that was completed and tested we added a payment gateway.

After launching as a new start-up we began marketing and asked close relations to try and give feedback. The ease of use was a winning factor and our staff were able to learn quickly how to use the system.

We used many communication tools, like skype and zoom to share ideas and notes. The team was always available and would give feedback within an hour if not instant.

They have lots of experience in multiple technologies. They offer solutions to most issues of challenges and they have a knowledgeable team to guide and help.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
They could have provided multiple contact points depending on the area being worked on so information and ideas can be shared faster. The project manager was always available, but one point of contact sometimes results in misunderstanding when passing on information to the other teams.

We were also looking for an advertising platform for the businesses to get the best outreach and interact with the customers directly. The customers can directly search for the businesses and deals and purchase through the platform.

It’s was quite difficult to find the best technical partner as there are so many good companies around the world but we were looking for a local company who even has a global presence and has great experience with similar domains.

I was also connected with their clients to understand their experience with Owebest and everyone was highly satisfied, so I choose them as a Technical Partner and they are managing everything for me.

The Project was about to develop a Website along with a Native Mobile Application with Businesses and Customer interface, even Back-end panel is also there to manage System Users, Listing, Advertisements, Deals, and all, even they provide me a high level of reporting that made my work very easy.
The key deliverable were a logo, app & web designs, mobile app for businesses and consumers, the website for business and consumers, and back-end for Apjpro Admin and staff members. The system is also connected with various marketing channels that allow businesses to promote their listing and deals on social media.

There was a dedicated team including Delivery Manager, Project Manager, Business Analyst, App & Web Team leads, Developers, Designers & QA.

The team understood my requirements very well and developed an initial prototype to confirm the process flow of the project and it was great to see that my project is in good hands. They developed a robust, scalable and highly performance mobile app and website. In just few months, I got a great number of app installs and getting good feedback from customers and businesses.

They do have a very simplified and sophisticated project management approach. They supplied all sort of the documents that made development workflow very easy and understandable. We used Trello for project management and Skype, Zoom and email for communication. They made daily updates to the Trello and it was very easy for me to track their work.

In the application there is a section for trainers where they can set the availability calendar and a section for the administration that can check the lessons they have taken. we chose react native and python flask
