I'm the author of Surviving The Hive. My goal was to gain notoriety, visibility, and mass appeal for my book.

My book was already published. Originally, the book was only on Amazon, but as it got five-star reviews, it got more in the algorithm's rotation, and the book started to show up on about 7–8 sites. I hired Otter Public Relations to provide PR services for publishing my book.

I found them through a social media advertisement. I loved their ad; it looked very professional. I also appreciated the video on their ad and everything they said; I was interested in the opportunities to put my book in national publications. I'm old school in a lot of ways, although I have some new school philosophies, and I like to hear the names of newspapers and TV companies for advertising and marketing. We worked together for a week in August 2024.

Although Otter Public Relations' work just went live yesterday, I definitely saw a buzz when the ads were published. The AI reviews they posted were really good; they were detailed because the AI tool read my book. I'm printing out the review and will use it at different locations. I've already talked to people who loved the review and will let me have a display with it on.

I was in contact with the Otter Public Relations team through video calls. After an initial meeting, we also communicated through email. When I sent them an email, they replied very quickly. They shared the partnership criteria for the partnership through email, including the price for their monthly retainer. The team's pricing is pretty standard compared to what I've seen from other providers. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm detail-oriented and cut and dry when it comes to production; I don't appreciate it when someone's pitch doesn't match their production. Otter Public Relations' production outperformed their pitch. I was also really impressed by how on top of things the team was. I just wish I had the budget to take advantage of everything they offer.

I have nothing negative to say about Otter Public Relations; I was very satisfied with their services.

I would show any interested party what Otter Public Relations did for me and tell them what I've already said in this review. It's hard to find service providers with standards that live their mission statement and goals. I would recommend taking advantage of being connected with such a service provider as much as possible.
