Orange Bird led the customer and market research workstream as part of a broader EU commercial and go-to-market strategy for Climate Earth. They interviewed current and potential clients to understand how the market perceived the company, what customers valued, how needs were changing, and what alternatives they were considering.

They translated those insights into recommendations around positioning, messaging, and the brand and marketing strategy. The work also covered the channels and activities that could support commercial growth, including content, case studies, thought leadership, PR, and regional market development.

Their work provided an important customer and market perspective that complemented the broader commercial strategy.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project gave us a much clearer understanding of how current and potential customers perceive Climate Earth and what matters most to them. The customer research provided direct input into the company’s positioning, messaging, and marketing strategy, and helped validate the priorities in the broader commercial strategy.

The resulting recommendations gave the team a clear direction for how to position the business and where to focus its marketing and business development efforts across the European market.

Orange Bird were very easy to work with throughout the project. They were well organized, responsive, and collaborative, and they adapted well as the project evolved. Communication was straightforward, and they were proactive about bringing insights and ideas to the broader team rather than working in isolation. They delivered what we needed and were a reliable partner throughout the work.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What stood out to me was how genuinely curious they were about the customer and the market. They went beyond simply conducting interviews and reporting back what they heard, they challenged the thinking, connected different perspectives, and turned the insights into practical recommendations for the business. 

I also appreciated that they were willing to bring their own point of view while still working very collaboratively with the broader team. That combination of curiosity, strategic thinking, and pragmatism made them particularly valuable to the project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Orange Bird could have done differently?

If anything, I think the project could have benefited from a little more time to go deeper on some of the strategic implications of the customer research. There was a lot of useful input from the interviews, and I think there was an opportunity to spend even more time translating those insights into specific commercial and marketing priorities.

That said, this was also partly a function of the scope and timeline of the project, rather than an issue with Orange Bird’s approach.
