We hired Nymo & Co in spring 2023 to help grow our affiliate network in anticipation of 4/20 season. We wanted to increase the amount of non-cannabis publishers with the hope of gaining coverage in major publications. In addition the ongoing program included updating and maintaining our current affiliates, migrating us to one unified platform, and helping readjust our commission rates.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Working with NYMO we've managed to grow our program's average profit by 25%. We are seeing consistent growth in the program since onboarding in March of 2023. Would recommend their services, especially for small businesses who have found affiliate marketing to be intimidating.

Our account rep is on top it, usually having to chase us down to get the deliverables needed. We receive monthly reports and discuss opportunities for cross-collaboration with the publishers. When an outside error was uncovered they worked quickly to resolve it.

Due to their expertise, our program quickly experienced an uplift in sales which continued as we worked with them. Marshall and Michelle have been an absolute pleasure to work with! The team’s task is to find outlets that cover topics related to our company, such as fragrances, candles, and sustainability. From there, they contact those outlets and try to plug our product. When people click on our products, and we make a sale, NYMO & Co. makes a commission.

NYMO & Co. does a great job and is very competent. We’ve seen good growth as a result of their efforts, increasing our revenue from affiliate marketing. Currently, we’re in a really good spot, and the team continuously improves.

We have no set budget — we pay as we go. Although we don’t have set timelines, NYMO & Co. delivers on time. They have great communication through email and monthly calls.

Since NYMO & Co. is a small team, they only have a few clients and put more time and effort into each of them, and their communication is great.

We have a large ambassador and affiliate program, so we’re working with Nymo & Co. to manage and expand the program.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Nymo & Co. supports our ambassador and affiliate program; they follow the rules and strategies our team has already developed. We have 1,000–2,000 ambassadors, and their team is helping us manage and nurture those relationships. They’re providing opportunities and helping us with onboarding. For our affiliates and ambassadors, Nymo & Co. provides them with news about our company and sends them gifts. Those methods are used to create content for our brand; nurturing our relationships with our affiliates is critical for us. 

Their team also works with our main media partners to promote our affiliate program. Nymo & Co. sends press releases to our media partners whenever we have a new launch or a specific promotion coming up. However, they only work with media partners that work with our affiliates. That way, they can be compensated when they share discount codes. 

For example, we have a Black Friday promotion that ​​Nymo & Co. sends out to our media partners. The ones interested in promoting our links can be compensated if users complete purchases from the links we’ve provided.

We work with three teammates: Marshall (Founder & CEO), Hanaa (Digital Marketing Account Coordinator), and an account manager.

We were working with a digital agency, and they recommended Nymo & Co. We liked their cost and scope of work — they seemed like a good fit for our company.

We invest $2,000–$2,500 a month; so far, we’ve invested $18,000–$20,000 with Nymo & Co.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement began in January 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our affiliate marketing revenue has increased month over month. We have a goal of 30% MoM increases, and Nymo & Co. is bringing in about 20%. We’re also increasing the number of ambassadors — we have 15% more now. Nymo & Co. has completely taken over our affiliate management, freeing up my time.

How did Nymo & Co. perform from a project management standpoint?

Nymo & Co. has great project management. We have biweekly meetings on Google Meet to discuss our upcoming releases and promotions. Outside of that, we communicate via email. Their team is good at following up with our affiliates with the information we give them in our biweekly calls. Nymo & Co.’s team is really responsive and proactive. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their knowledge of the affiliate industry and innovation in finding new ways to engage with our media partners and ambassadors is fantastic. Nymo & Co. understands our brand and knows how to translate those values through affiliate marketing strategies. Our brand is very unique, so this understanding is essential for our success.    

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’re always working on improving our strategies. For example, when we first started the partnership, they weren’t providing regular reports to share data. Now, they provide biweekly reports.

Customers need to know what they want from working with an affiliate agency like Nymo & Co.

During the entire time we've worked together, we have collaborated with the owner and an account manager -- plus a few additional account managers have offered additional assistance to the core team for shorter periods.

Affiliate revenue now drives between 5-10% of our monthly revenue, thanks to NYMO. We hope to grow this even more as we start a more systematic influencer outreach program. As a small business with very limited resources, I appreciate their commission-only structure.

The team is collaborative - they bring an expertise in the channel, but are also open to trying new processes to drive an outcome.

I really appreciate their willingness to try new processes and their commission structure, where they only get paid if they can drive revenue.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Affiliate revenue has been one of the fastest growing revenue channels for us. We are now doing over 20k a month and are aiming to double that by the end of this year.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Workflow is good and communication is clear. We have calls every two weeks to touch base and the team works effectively independently as well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to focus on good content publishers is valuable and hard to find in the affiliate world. Too often, affiliate agencies are focused on revenue generation regardless of where it comes from. As a result, other agencies spend a lot of their time on coupon and discount publishers. We didn't want any of these in our program and Nymo totally understood this.

They are doing a great job for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

NYMO & Co. managed all aspects of our influencer program, from identifying and connecting with companies and individual creators to distributing products and tracking the sales generated by these partnerships. Their work felt like an extension of our internal team.

The project started in January 2024 and concluded in October 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We saw a net sales increase of about 30% year-over-year from the influencer channel during the project. New customer acquisition was also a significant outcome, although I cannot share specific numbers. The main KPI that justified continuing the partnership was the net sales growth from this channel.

They were very organized and consistently on top of the work, often even more so than our internal team. Communication was handled through virtual meetings and messaging, and they always delivered on time.
